As far as I can tell the Multiplex view is working without any hiccups, I will let you know if I find anything out of the ordinary. Thank you so very much! and please let us know if there is anything we can help with. Best regards, Gilogo. RE: Aeon MQ 9 Mod for Kodi 21 (Omega) - melons2 - 2024-05-14 @latts9923 Same installation error as with MOD version 1.2.4. Version 1.2.5 will only stop installation process with a forced KODI shutdown. I restarted KODI and MOD 1.2.5 finalizes settings and returns to home screen. I tried MOD 1.2.5 on two different systems, same result. Thank you very much for your continuing work on these skin MODS!! RE: Aeon MQ 9 Mod for Kodi 21 (Omega) - Juan Mortyme - 2024-05-14 @latts9923 Just installed v1.2.5 from your repo on my Windows 10 system, Download took about 3 minutes and install was fine. However I still encountered the Finalizing Settings loop which required a forced closing of Kodi. Following the restart of Kodi the settings reset completed. Restoring saved settings worked fine. One thing I did notice is that the script you added in attempt to make MQ8 info dialogues apply after settings restore doesn't work. It reverts them back default but the switches are on MQ8 even though the view is default MQ9. So, you still have to switch back and forth the same as before. I wonder if the addition of that script to the settings is possibly causing the loop? (I have Kodi to notify and NOT download updates automatically).(2024-05-13, 21:33)Gilogo Wrote: I had the same issue as others have mentioned here before where it takes too long to download, but only on my windows machines, on Linux it downloads and installs very fast. The problem starts - at least for me - when you follow the instructions after the update and save the settings and then reset them via the skin settings. Then the skin is in this endless loop. Even if I install the zip the way you described. Even with a completely new Kodi installation without an existing Userdata directory. I think there is a bug in the setup process starting with version 1.24. Any new function or variable that has been added will not be set correctly or checked correctly or recognized as not installed in the final setup. That's why this loop, which also occurs when you press the backspace key during the process. The 1.23 from the ZIP could be installed without any problems. RE: Aeon MQ 9 Mod for Kodi 21 (Omega) - latts9923 - 2024-05-14 @Gilogo You're welcome...and will do! @melons2 You're welcome! I think Juan Mortyme might be onto something. @knarf2570 You're welcome! @Juan Mortyme I didn't think about the Video Info reset script being the culprit. I took another look at that script and I removed some unnecessary code. Try another skin reset using this version of the script. After the reset, you should have "SHOW DEFAULT VIDEO INFO" enabled in the Top Menu and it should display the MQ 9 Video Info screen. RE: Aeon MQ 9 Mod for Kodi 21 (Omega) - andrzejls - 2024-05-14 @latts9923 I can see View Type-38 but is inactive. My Inclides.xml. Includes_views.xml, Includes_views.custom.xml and Includes_views.default.xml list View Type-38 (661) and "View38-661_Multiplex.xml" file is in xml directory. What am I missing?. Edit Views.xml in "extras" directory also list View Type-38 Edit 2: Resolved RE: Aeon MQ 9 Mod for Kodi 21 (Omega) - Gilogo - 2024-05-14 Hi everyone, I had the same red circle loop happen to me once and only on a windows machine when installing V. 1.2.3 in a new install I just hit the back button on my keyboard several times and this restarted the process, after that it continued smoothly; I did not have to use task manager or restart Kodi. About the MQ7/8 Dialogues, it happen to me too once in a windows machine. When you download an update Kodi decompresses the zip file under C:\Users\"current_user"\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\temp and then it places the decompressed file under C:\Users\"current_user"\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons, I believe here is when something goes wrong, the script files were corrupted during this transactions. So I did tried again a Linux PC and the process went smoothly, that way I proved meself that the script and skin was OK, so I went back to the windows PC and I did the update fully manually and this time I did not have either the red circle loop process or the dialogues failing to apply to the MQ7 info and extended info script. Another thing I will check is the antivirus, it might be interfering the decompression and placement of the files. I hope this helps anyone. Best regards, Gilogo. P. S. it seem that the red circle loop is an older problem and not just on @latts9923 mod. Kodi MQ9 stuck at red circle loop RE: Aeon MQ 9 Mod for Kodi 21 (Omega) - knarf2570 - 2024-05-14 (2024-05-14, 21:03)Gilogo Wrote: Hi everyone,I can confirm this problem on 1.23. It is also correct that a spinning symbol without percentages can be fixed by pressing the backspace key several times. In my opinion, that problem is different from our actual problem in 1.24 onwards and is independent of it. In 1.23 the skin hangs BEFORE setting up, from 1.24 onwards AFTER setting up. Because in 1.24 onwards the setup starts with the percentages and then cannot be completed correctly - it is then repeated, but without percentages. If you now press the backspace button during the loop in the same way as in 1.23, the setup with percentages begins again and then returns to the setup without percentages. The installation via repository itself works technically perfectly, I had an executable version 1.24 on my system. The problems only started after resetting the settings. But I followed your suggestion and downloaded the 1.25 file, manually extracted it and manually transferred all the files inside to the target directory. I checked using the dialog (possible under Windows 10 and 11) in which existing files are compared with the files to be copied. All copied files are absolutely identical to the files that are already in the target directory. But I copied them anyway. The result is the same: You can use the skin normally until you reset the skin via the skin settings to activate the new settings. Then under 1.24 and 1.25 you are in the same loop, which does not occur under 1.23. And at least for me, no action causes me to leave this loop, not even ending the process via the task manager. The next time you start Kodi, the game starts again. I think, if we want to create a really comparable situation, it would be helpful if someone who has installed 1.24 or 1.25 under Windows (!) without any errors backed up his settings again, reset the settings via the skin settings and then checked whether the Setup can be completed. And then writes down his steps exactly so anybody can recreate them. Otherwise, in my opinion, we will go around in circles and not get any further. After countless attempts with always the same result, I stick to my guess. There is a new bug/script error in one of the setup scripts AFTER the installattion that only occurs on Windows and only on Version 1.24 onwards. This doesn't have anything to do with the operating system but rather with the different target directories. In my opinion, the installation itself is not the problem. RE: Aeon MQ 9 Mod for Kodi 21 (Omega) - Juan Mortyme - 2024-05-14 @latts9923 The new script fixed the problem of the Finalizing Settings loop but the view switch still isn't right. After the reset, view and switch are both reset to default. After importing saved settings the switch changes to MQ8 (the saved position) but the actual view is default. So, the mismatch between the switch and actual view remains. I have a new windows 11 new install with 1.2.5 without any errors, I will back the settings and reset the skin and try to replicate what you did (quoted section), that way it can be an homogeneous install/setup. In the meantime, can you please write down your steps so we can compare? Thanks! RE: Aeon MQ 9 Mod for Kodi 21 (Omega) - andrzejls - 2024-05-14 Nvidia Shield Pro (3 units) - Updating from 1.2.3 to 1.2.5 using zip file --> spinning symboll in constant loop. - Updating from 1.2.3 to 1.2.5 using App update --> no issue at all. Could it be Windows version of Kodi issue?. |
