RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - solidservo - 2012-11-27 Hi Guys! I am currently looking for a new HTPC software and therefore i am evaluating XBMC. I want to use my iphone and ipad as remote. So obviously I am trying this awesome APP here. Question/Problems I have with it (using Frodo build on Win7 64bit): no Fokus: right after I start XBMC, no element has focus. I can navigate a bit, but focus always jumps away again (because the mousecursor is *somewere*). I must press the up/down/left or right button _once_ on my keyboard to focus an element in the homescreen (this seems to disable the mousecursor/input). After that navigation with the app works nicely. Profile switching: I want to take use of profiles. Now when I go to the shutdown menu -> logout -> I see the profiles menu, but I have no navigation control with this APP. I have to use the keyboard for navigation. :S RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-11-27 (2012-11-27, 08:15)Littl3Bear Wrote: is this something that hasnt been updated in the remote, have I missed something in the forums or have I missed something in the setting?Hello, none of the three! due the recent changes on frodo api, you have to wait (short) for a new app version that supports these changes. For the moment you have to enable the "prefer poster for TV Show" option and use the posters. @solidservo, hello! no Fokus: this means that you are using xbmc in windowed mode or the focus issue is also on XBMC fullscreen? anyway it seems an issue with the input api that the app is using. Deeper investigations are needed Profile switching: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/1846 . At the moment the json-rpc is not available during the login dialog in multi user environments. When I press i.e. "right" on the keyboard a element of the homescreen gains focus and the green mousecursor dissapears . Only then I can use the app to navigate. I can capture a video of the issue with fraps and upload it to YT if you want. (2012-11-27, 16:49)joethefox Wrote: Profile switching: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/1846 . RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - grope - 2012-11-27 Is there a version of this that works with the iphone 3g on IOS 4.1? Thanks RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-11-27 @solidservo, ok I was able to reproduce the issue, so isn't needed a video. I'll keep you informed about the progress. @grope, nope - only iOS 5 and above. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-11-27 Hey guys! coming soon.... \m/ RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - MikeW - 2012-11-28 I'm using an iPhone 5 with iOS and version 1.1.9 of the XBMC Remote app. I have two XBMC systems configured in the XBMC remote, but the Wake On LAN feature is not working correctly. My computer's BIOS has WOL enabled and it works with other apps which can send WOL packets. The problem I'm observing is that the app only wakes up my system about 1 out of every 5 to 10 times when I press the "Wake On LAN" button. I was testing with a standalone WOL app from my iPhone and it wakes my system reliably 100% of the time. In order to debug this further I downloaded a network sniffer app for another computer and captured the WOL packets the XBMC Remote app was sending. The data payload which is supposed to contain the 16 repetitions of the MAC address is corrupted most of the time. The same MAC address is repeated 16 times, but the address is incorrect. It looks like only half the nibbles are correct, but they are in the wrong location. It would probably be much easier for me to send more debug information (packet captures) offline via email. If this is something you want to dig into further please let me know and I'll be happy to assist in the debug. Thanks! RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - merze - 2012-11-28 Hello there, I am using the remote app (latest available version) with my iphone 4 running the latest ios 6.0.1. I added samba shares to my xbmc and it shows them and plays them accordingly. However if I use the app I see the shares but it will not show the contents of them (subdirs). Even if I let it load for some time (no loading shown) it will not display any content. Is this known or is there any solution to this? Kind regards merze RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Littl3Bear - 2012-11-29 (2012-11-27, 16:49)joethefox Wrote:(2012-11-27, 08:15)Littl3Bear Wrote: is this something that hasnt been updated in the remote, have I missed something in the forums or have I missed something in the setting?Hello, none of the three! due the recent changes on frodo api, you have to wait (short) for a new app version that supports these changes. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - live4ever - 2012-11-29 Love that new UI, I never thought the blue icons fit in very well. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-11-29 @MikeW, I noticed that too, sometimes the WOL packet isn't correctly builded and I'm trying to figure out why! when I decide to start debugging about that behavior, the WOL always works ><' . I need to dedicate more time on the issue and if needed I will ask you help, thx! @solidservo, are you using a different skin from the default confluence? I ask this because after some tests, I was able to reproduce your issue only with the confluence left side panel. In the main menu screen, even if I leave everything without focus with the mouse, when I send a directional input the interface respond. When I had the issue, even the keyboard arrows stops responding. @merze, to debug: instead of entering in the empty subdir, if you start/enqueue the dir (with the row long press action), the item is correctly played/enqueued? @Littl3Bear, @live4ever RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Patricia P - 2012-11-29 Hi I love the look of your app. I have an old ipod touch 1st gen 3.1.3 which I would like to use as a remote control. I am not jailbroken so I can't use any current apps. I may use the old Dharma beta Openelec and a rc app. I just don't care to pay for an app that was last updated in 2010. Are there any others who have old touches and have a solution? RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Overawy - 2012-11-30 Hi, Great app. Since updating to frodo beta 1 when playing a movie or tv show when the remote switchs to the now playing screen the app crashes. Anyone else noticed this? Cheers RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-11-30 @Overawy, sadly it's a known issue due to some api changes starting from november 25, not the beta1 (released before november 25). Incoming app update will solve the issue, thank you for your patience. |
