Just wanted to post a quick thankyou to the creators of this mod. I have been using it since it was 1st released.

Also used the previous versions such as warlions etc, and used the official nox 4.x.x.x which had all these bells & whistles back in the day that these mods are keeping alive, after nox5 went the watered down way to accommodate all the new users with raspery pis and nucs etc. (for any newcomers, thats basically what this mod is all about & why it started, official nox used to be more like this until v5.)

However that being said, im sad to say im retiring from this skin, and switching back to the official one. Had to do a clean install and its just too much work trying to get everything to work the way i want it. I still prefer madnox/nox4, however i could not get my random movie/tv backgrounds to work for main menu even with half a dozen extra scripts installed...so i figured im now too old for this and have decided to live with the less detailed nox5 as it works out of the box, even if it doesnt display half of what i want it to.

Thanks for keeping this alive for so long though guys, was great while it lasted! (sorry for the rant)

It's likely that your textures13.db and "Thumbnails" folders are out of date. I get random background fanart for TV shows and movies just fine. It only selects about 6 fanarts for the rotation in each category, but it does display content for the items in my library at least.

Another thing I have noticed, is that script.skin.shortcuts seems to carry over settings for one installed skin, and apply them to another, if the skin is changed. I'm sure this isn't desired as there are seperate entries for each skin in the settings.xml file for each installed skin (so long as it has been used at least once), but in my experience, this isn't being correctly applied when the skin is changed, which leads to all manner of weirdness (Including missing artwork). The only way to solve that issue, in my experience, is to delete the settings.xml file for the add-on and launch kodi again, with your desired skin selected, thus allowing it to "re-write" the settings.xml file.

There are still issues with this skin. Some of the old views load settings in a sideblade when they should be in a dialog, CD Fanart vs. handwritten fake fanart isn't working on the "classic" visualisation if the CDart visualisation is set to *anything* other than Blu-ray, and there are some very old dialogs that are deviod of any content whatsoever, that are obviously leftovers that need removing. That, and the sheer number of textures the skin uses fills up all the memory Kodi is allowed to access. Aside from that, it's a great skin. I've used many others, but always come back to Madnox.

Skin Shortcuts was originally designed to carry over menu items so users could switch skins without needing to setup the menus but with the robustness of the skinning engine and script.skin.shortcuts itself that made it more difficult. You can choose in the settings of that script to not carry over menu items if you prefer.

What issues still exist? "classic" visualization? Can you please provide a screenshot? There are dialogs for some things and side blade for the others. I cannot speak to the "design" but if the settings work... Huh

What dialogs have no content? If you have posted about this in the past, I have missed it.

I cannot fix things if nobody tells me so please provide screenshots, debug logs (wiki) or anything else to help me fix the issues that you see. I cannot possibly test all options, settings, contingencies, or whatever word I need to say to explain that you are the one seeing a problem while I am not...

Thanks.

Hi Mike,

When I get time I'll take some screenshots and post up here with a description of each "issue". That's not going to be for a few days though, as I'm too busy with other stuff atm.

RE: Aeon Madnox for Krypton / Jarvis - [RC2 Revision 0.9.1] 30/05 - WolvesPhil - 2018-07-10

I am not sure if this something from this skin or something I added seperately but wanted to try in here...

On my old kodi install I had a widget that shows next episodes in the tv shows currently being watched (not recently added) i have a feeling it was something to do with the skin overlay service?! My problem is my old kodi pc has had a failed hdd so I am currently setting up a new one and unable to work out how to get this widget working.

Any help would be appreciated, if this isn't relating to madnox let me know as I will post elsewhere

RE: Aeon Madnox for Krypton / Jarvis - [RC2 Revision 0.9.1] 30/05 - gibxxi - 2018-07-11

Hi MikeSiLVO,

I feel I must provide some background here... I noticed some of the aforementioned "issues" way-back-when, in the Krypton version of Aeon Madnox. I didn't report them at that time as A). They were in old obsolete menus, I was sure would at some point be removed, since Aeon Madnox has had many mod additions / removals since Mike Doc took it over. And B). getting the screenshots was too arduous a task at that time (call me lazy).

It would therefore appear, that since I've moved over to Leia Alphas and nightlys, some of the issues I mentioned earlier, in this thread, have already been dealt with in the code-cleanup operation to get Aeon Madnox ready for Leia. With that in mind, I apologise if my earlier post appeared as misleading to anyone using (or thinking of using) this skin.

With that out of the way, there are however some issues I *can* report, since as I said last week, i'd take a look, and post some screenshots if I found anything off. Now I will say, right off the bat, that i'm a bit OCD about the way things look, so some of the things i'm going to mention below, might seem a little petty. I'm going to mention them anyway, it's up to the devs if they decide to implement my suggestions or not. I won't lose any sleep over it, either way.

Smile

NOTE: Due to the forum restriction on post sizes, I can't attach all the images I want to, inline in this single post. So since I don't feel like making 16 seperate posts, instead I'll link to the screenshots I took (via Imgur.com).

KODI Version Used: KODI 18 - Alpha 2 (Nightly) - KodiSetup-20180705-69351527-master-x64.exe
Aeon Nox - Skin Version: Github Edition - e219870 (Downloaded with Github Desktop, and synced to KODI - Portable Mode, via SyncBack Pro)

Issue 1 - Extended Info Setting:

As per "Screenshot - 01" (below) I have the setting to replace Aeon Nox's default info panel with the "Extended Info" panel enabled...

Screenshot - 01: Extended Info - Setting

This works fine on Movies...

Screenshot - 02: Extended Info - Movies

...Not so much on TV shows...

Screenshot - 03: Extended Info - TV Shows

The TV Shows info screen is (to my untrained eye), defaulting to the standard Aeon Madnox info screen (as evidenced by the presence of the "Extended Info" button), and not the "Extended Info" one.

Issue 2 - Missing cdART In "List View":

If you go to Music -> Artists -> Album View, cdART images are not displayed at the "Album List" level...

Screenshot - 04: Artist - Album View

But if you then drill down to track view, the cdART magically appears...

Screenshot - 05: Artist - Track View

Also, as a side note; All views that use rating bars, seem to have the rating bar duplicated (Red Arrow in screenshot)...

Issue 3 - Content settings In A "Sideblade" Rather Than A "Dialog" Box:

When adding new video sources, after setting the source location and name, the following screen appears (for both types of video content)...

Screenshot - 06: Movies - Content Type Settings

...for Movies, and...

Screenshot - 07: TV Shows - Content Type Settings

...For TV Shows.

I don't know if the migration of these dialogs to a "sideblade" arrangement was desired behaviour or not, but either way it doesn't work. I think this screen should be in a standard dialog box, like it always used to be. Because as you can see, the text label for the folder aggregation setting is too long for the sideblade and the text gets overlayed by the switch button. Having it auto-scroll would look like a kluge. It just seems like change for the sake of it, if this was desired behaviour, IMHO.

Issue 4 - Classic OSD Navigation (Restriction):

With the classic OSD panel enabled, it is not possible to navigate LEFT from the position of the "F-RWD" button. You may navigate right to the "Options" button, keep going, and have it re-appear on the left-most icon in the left-hand group, but you cannot navigate LEFT, to that group, from the "F-RWD" button...

Screenshot - 08: Classic OSD Menu

This one IS a carry-over from the Krypton version of the skin, and it's been like this for some time. I'm pretty sure it affects all screens where the "Classic OSD" is used, not just the "Music Vis" screen.

Issue 5 - Classic Vis - Time Panel Setting Mismatch:

The setting for the "Time Panel - Weather Status display" is at odds with the actual appearance of the item within the time panel...

Screenshot - 09: Time Panel Setting / Appearance

I'm pretty sure that if the setting is disabled, a weather icon should be being displayed, and text, when the setting is enabled. Currently, the setting is backwards. So either the label needs re-wording or the setting needs reversing. Also, again, as a side note; Since the bar is called the "Time Panel" and is enabled / disabled by another toggle button further up the settings menu, that refers to it as such, where's the day, date and time that's supposed to be displayed in there as well (second red arrow)?

Issue 6 - List View - Footer Element Spacing:

Ignore the fact that in the following picture, the ratings bar is doubled for a second (as I already mentioned this prior, in this post), but the left-hand elements in the footer, are not evenly-spaced on the left-hand side of the footer in "List-View" like they are on the right-hand side. This is OCD on my part, but it does look uneven nonetheless...

Screenshot - 10: Footer Items (Uneven) Layout - List View

...And a more pronounced view of it in the Music - Wall View...

Screenshot - 11: Footer Items (Uneven) Layout - Wall View

There's no margin at all on the left-hand elements. The (duplicated) ratings bar butts right up against the left-hand side of the screen, and the codec icon butts right up against the ratings bar. As a consequence, the distance between the codec icon and the date seems to be a bit too large (possibly).

While we're on the subject of layout...

Screenshot - 12: Footer Items (Uneven / Missing?) Layout - Episode View

Is there something supposed to be displayed here? As i've checked about a dozen different shows I have - at "Episode View" level, and this space never gets populated with anything - period. At least not in my library.

Issue 7 - Missing Codec Icon (MP3):

I'm not entirely sure what codec "MP3FLOAT" is (see Screenshot - 13, below), but I'm guessing this view has been edited somewhere along the line, and a typo is the result. I can confirm this is not down to the notorious missing icons due to the skin's memory requirements, as has been reported before (which is still an ongoing issue, although not quite so prevalent as before, on Krypton), since a reload of the skin doesn't do anything, nor does (re)starting Kodi and going straight to an MP3 album / track and playing it...

Screenshot - 13: Missing "MP3" Codec Icon - Classic Vis Screen

Since I only have FLAC files (lossless), MP3 files (CBR), and MP3 files (VBR) in my library, I cannot test to see if the issue affects any other formats besides those mentioned. The icon for FLAC files displays fine, and since the MP3 icon also displays fine, elsewhere in the skin, i'm pretty sure (as previously stated), this is not down to anything other than a typo in the XML.

[Potential] Issue 8 - Poster Dodging (Low List View):

I've left this one till last as i'm not 100% sure if this is an issue, or desired behaviour (since there's animation involved). When viewing a TV show season list, using the "Low List" view...

Screenshot - 14: TV Show - Season View (Low List)

Pressing the LEFT cursor key to bring up the "Tooltip" menu causes the TV show poster to move to the left, without the tooltip / sideblade menu appearing...

Screenshot - 15: TV Show - Season View (Low List - Poster Deviation)

...so another LEFT keypress is required to make the tooltip / sideblade menu appear. Is this supposed to happen? If so... Why? Seems a bit redundant, to me. A single RIGHT keypress despatches the "Tooltip / Sideblade" menu as per expected.

That pretty much covers it for this round of observations, bar one thing. I'd like (if possible), to make a request to one of the devs (I think i'm entitled, given the amount of time it took me to write, and structure this post - don't ask!)...

Back in the days of "Aeon Shednox", and before the new widgets were implemented in Madnox, it was possible to have the "Now Playing" item, on the home screen occupy the "High" position (as it does now), or a "low" position, directly above the menu bar. The option was removed, shortly after the new widgets were introduced, and i'd like to see it return. Either that, or have the "Now Playing" item auto-default to the "low" position, if widgets are not being used on a selected menu item / position...

Screenshot - 16: Now Playing Item - Positioning

Personally, I don't use widgets. I like a clean, uncluttered home screen, and widgets go against that idea for me. So there's a large amount of unused space between the "Now Playing", "Track List" items and the menu bar. I'd like to have the option to place the  "Now Playing" and "track List" items down low, directly above the menu bar, and consolidate the "Free" space towards the top of the screen. Not a critical issue, and it is somewhat OCD on my part, no doubt. But it's the only part of Madnox I don't like, that I have no direct control over (any more).

Anyway, hope this post has proved useful to the devs, it took me long enough to write the damn thing!

Wink

If I notice any more issues on my travels through the skin, i'll make another post, although i'm only likely to notice "issues" with the views / functionality, I personally use. I'm very conservative in my view selection, and don't use any of the "new" views added more recently, so am unlikely to come across issues with regards those items. I'll leave it to others who DO use them, to post their issues in that instance.

Smile

Regards,

Dan / Gib.

Dear Gibxxi,
What an absolute gem of a detailed post... its been many a months since I changed to Aeon Nox Silvo for many of these reasons.. and some I reported wayy back which unfortunately no one was ready to listen / tackle.. its a shame as still some of these mods are even missing fromSilvo's own mod.

RE: Aeon Madnox for Krypton / Jarvis - [RC2 Revision 0.9.1] 30/05 - mikeSiLVO - 2018-07-12

@gibxxi

I am literally working on these right now so I will be marking things as a sort of check list here...

Issue 1 should be fixed.

Issue 2 should also be fixed. I dropped all the library path stuff and just switched to Skin Helper Service.
I cannot see the duplicate ratings I only see the star rating in the right hand side. Would you happen to know what settings might change that to what your seeing? Old settings thing or bad skin pull from Git maybe...?
Image

Issue 3 I have no idea why it was changed to look like the sideblade. I assume to match it when using the filter option in the video library views but I have no idea. I have changed it to a popup dialog now. I did it quick and dirty so there may be some issues. Let me know.

Issue 4 should now be fixed.

Issue 5 seems to be working the way it is supposed to based on that setting you are pointing to. Weather condition instead of image so when enabled show image instead of condition. I did however fix the other problems like no visible time and date, adjusted some spacing and fixed some other settings that did not seem to be working.

Issue 6 is gonna take a major recode. Just looking at what's there now is making me go coo coo bird... If I didn't think it would just be me doing it I may consider but by myself is just not gonna happen. Sorry Sad
Also the reason you are seeing those double stars and I am not is because the skin you are using is not up to date. The flags you see are no longer in the same place so unless you have an old Textures.xbt file in your media folder, you have some kind of frankenskin and might want to delete the whole skin and redownload.

Issue 6.5 should be fixed. I updated the VAR used to the one in my skin but forgot to remove the ".png" since it is already in the VAR.

Issue 7 is a Kodi thing. Not sure if that's the way it is gonna stay or if the INFOlabel will once again start to return mp3 instead of mp3float. If it stays that way I can fix it closer to Leia release but I'm not gonna change it now cause the original functionality could return at any time which would break whatever "fix" I did.

Issue 8 is the poster sliding left to show the scrollbar. I don't know why it is like that.

Feature request is also done.
Just enable the setting in the proper place.

RE: Aeon Madnox for Krypton / Jarvis - [RC2 Revision 0.9.1] 30/05 - icesurf3r - 2018-07-13

Hi all,

I'm still using Kodi Isengard, with the relevant Madnox build. However, I'm thinking of upgrading to Leia (which is a big step as I have 3 NUCs all linked via MySQL to the main PC which is the one that pushes the updates). I have a couple of questions ( which are mainly about the cosmetic side of things) now I have a Leia text build installed on a spare laptop.
  1. Madnox for Isengard had a "Random Movies" background setting for the movies main menu item (this had a slideshow effect displaying random Movie Fanart) - Does the Leia version of the madnox build have a background setting that can replicate this?
  2. Conditional weather fanart - I cannot get this to work. I've set the path to my conditional weather fanart, but can't get it to display when on the weather main menu item. - Is there a setting I'm overlooking?
  3. Finally  - I've got all the add-ons required but on movie sets, although it displays the overall time for all movies, it doesn't display the number of movies in the set or the synopsis of the movies like in Isengard.
They're the main things for now. I'm trying to keep things as close to the Isengard version as possible as I have two younger children and didn't want to confuse them too much when they try and use them.

So if anyone can help, I would appreciate it. If screenshots are needed, I'll try and sort them later when I have access to the laptop.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike,

Excellent work. I've just read through your reply (quickly) and will put up a response (properly) to the items you've worked on a bit later.

Thanks again.

In answer to Question 1: Yes. Just go to the "Skin Settings -> Customizers -> Set up the Aeon MadNox main menu" and scroll down to the "Movies" item in the left column. The options for that item are displayed. Move right, select the "Select background" option here, then select the required background from the dialog, here.

For Weather Fanart as a background choice, you'll need to do two things: The first is practically a redo of the steps required for Q1. But for weather, select the "Weather Fanart" option as the background, as shown here.

You'll also, then need to back-up one screen to the "Skin Settings - Customizers" screen. Scroll down to the option "Set Weather Fanart" as shown here. If you don't already have the "Weather Fanart - Multi" add-on installed, you'll need to install it. You can do that easily, by selecting the "Get More..." link, then searching down the list till you find the one you want, as shown here and here. Once you've selected one, it should automatically assign it as your preferred weather fanart mod, and if you step back to the homescreen, the changes should be applied.

Note: This only works if you've correctly set up your weather provider and location details elsewhere in Kodi.

I don't use MovieSets or MovieSet artwork, so I can't help you with that, sorry.

RE: Aeon Madnox for Krypton / Jarvis - [RC2 Revision 0.9.1] 30/05 - gibxxi - 2018-07-14

@mikeSiLVO:

I've gone through and done some testing on the items you've worked on, and also cleaned out / re-downloaded the GitHUB repository via GitHUB Desktop. I completely deleted the repository and re-cloned the whole thing from the GitHUB website to mitigate any ".gitignore" exclusions that might have been altered. I also deleted the destination folder and settings file for Aeon MadNox from my target Kodi directory.

So with the above in mind, I will move on to my testing results for the items worked on...

Issue 1:
(2018-07-12, 08:10)mikeSiLVO Wrote: Issue 1 should be fixed.
Sorry Mike, not seeing any difference here. The TV episode info screen still looks exactly as per my previous screenshot. I've completely removed the previous "portable data" folder, and re-synced directly from GitHUB desktop. New guisettings, new add-on settings, new viewmodes6.db, No joy It's still showing the standard Aeon Madnox information window, not the extended info one.

Issue 2:
(2018-07-12, 08:10)mikeSiLVO Wrote: Issue 2 should also be fixed. I dropped all the library path stuff and just switched to Skin Helper Service.
I cannot see the duplicate ratings I only see the star rating in the right hand side. Would you happen to know what settings might change that to what your seeing? Old settings thing or bad skin pull from Git maybe...?
Confirmed. Thanks very much! It does take anywhere up to 5 seconds for the "fake cdART" to be replaced in this section, but since my content is stored on a NAS, served via PowerLine AV+, this is to be expected.

With regards the ratings bar; It's gone - completely. None of my music has ratings, so this might be why. I would point out that in the screenshot you supplied, with a displayed rating, your using coloured icons, whereas mine were using white icons. The sizes also wildly differ, so there might have been some duplication going on because of that. Either way, the duplicated ratings bar, and indeed any ratings bar, has disappeared. I'll put this one down to leftover files from the "Krypton" branch for now, as I directly "Switched" branches in GitHUB Desktop from "Krypton" to "Leia", thinking it would be clever enough to clean up after itself. Maybe not.

Issue 3:
(2018-07-12, 08:10)mikeSiLVO Wrote: Issue 3 I have no idea why it was changed to look like the side-blade. I assume to match it when using the filter option in the video library views but I have no idea. I have changed it to a pop-up dialog now. I did it quick and dirty so there may be some issues. Let me know.
Confirmed - Fixed. Since this looks to be a fairly simple screen / dialog / layout, i'm not expecting that any issues will arise here. I've tried invoking the screen via "Add New Source" and also "Edit Source", and both look fine. Thanks very much!

Issue 4:
(2018-07-12, 08:10)mikeSiLVO Wrote: Issue 4 should now be fixed.
Confirmed - Thanks very much!

Issue 5:
(2018-07-12, 08:10)mikeSiLVO Wrote: Issue 5 seems to be working the way it is supposed to based on that setting you are pointing to. Weather condition instead of image so when enabled show image instead of condition. I did however fix the other problems like no visible time and date, adjusted some spacing and fixed some other settings that did not seem to be working.
I think you may have misunderstood the point I was trying to make here Mike. The setting, as referred to is labeled as (and I quote): "Weather Condition instead of Image". So to me, that means if the option is selected / on then text should be displayed. If the option is off, then a weather icon / image should be displayed. In my screenshot, the reverse is happening.

Also, thanks for putting the Day / Date / time info back in, but there is now a massive gap between the weather info (either icon mode or text mode) and that data, that is serving no purpose. See here. A gap of 1/4 size would suffice.

Issue 6 / 6.5:
(2018-07-12, 08:10)mikeSiLVO Wrote: Issue 6 is gonna take a major recode. Just looking at what's there now is making me go coo coo bird... If I didn't think it would just be me doing it I may consider but by myself is just not gonna happen. Sorry Sad
Also the reason you are seeing those double stars and I am not is because the skin you are using is not up to date. The flags you see are no longer in the same place so unless you have an old Textures.xbt file in your media folder, you have some kind of frankenskin and might want to delete the whole skin and re-download.
No problem. I expect this screen has been modified all to hell over the life of the skin, so I'm not surprised it's a spagettified mess. I did have a look at the XML myself, chuckled, and closed the file. I only have a rudimentary knowledge of HTML, and know next to nothing with regards XML, so wasn't going to attempt to tackle this. Thanks for looking, either way.

(2018-07-12, 08:10)mikeSiLVO Wrote: Issue 6.5 should be fixed. I updated the VAR used to the one in my skin but forgot to remove the ".png" since it is already in the VAR.
Confirmed. The massive gap has now gone, and the icons have appropriate distances from each other with additional "category" spacing. Thanks!

Issue 7:
(2018-07-12, 08:10)mikeSiLVO Wrote: Issue 7 is a Kodi thing. Not sure if that's the way it is gonna stay or if the INFOlabel will once again start to return mp3 instead of mp3float. If it stays that way I can fix it closer to Leia release but I'm not gonna change it now cause the original functionality could return at any time which would break whatever "fix" I did.
I know DavidBlake has made a lot of modifications with regards the Music Library, but I don't think that has anything to do with this issue. Well maybe it does, but the fact of the matter is, if codec info display works here, and here; It should also work here to my way of thinking.

As a side note, since my purge and subsequent testing on a vanilla install, the icon for FLAC files in the "Original" Music Vis screen now exhibits the same (or similar) behaviour to MP3's. See the screenshot of that here. Note that this is exactly the same behaviour as for MP3s in that the icon displays fine elsewhere in the skin, just not on the "Original" Music Vis screen.

Issue 8:
(2018-07-12, 08:10)mikeSiLVO Wrote: Issue 8 is the poster sliding left to show the scrollbar. I don't know why it is like that.
Indeed, and when the side-blade is open, the poster returns to it's original position, as shown here. Serves no purpose to my mind.

Feature Request:
(2018-07-12, 08:10)mikeSiLVO Wrote: Feature request is also done. Just enable the setting in the proper place.
Many thanks for this, have missed this setting for a long time.

I guess the code was still there, as re-enabling it has introduced a new "quirk". A new menu item has appeared in the Skin Settings - customizers screen, called "Home Bottom NowPlaying Settings". See the following screenshot:

Screenshot - Home Bottom NowPlaying Screen I

Entering the menu item - with no music playing, displays this:

Screenshot - Home Bottom NowPlaying Screen II

Entering the menu item - with music playing, displays this:

Screenshot - Home Bottom NowPlaying Screen III

In both instances, the panel is off the top of the screen. Also, the two displayed options seem to have no effect anyway. The "Show Logo" option should change the Artist name on the home screen from text to the artist's respective logo (if available) as defined by the path set under "Settings -> Paths -> Set path to music library (needed for extrafanart, ClearLOGO)". The second setting, "Use Color CD" is a throwback from before the "Use Handwritten CD" option was added, and is therefore redundant. I think the automatic pop-up dialog, relates to this screen, to which (if memory serves) those two settings *used* to be a part of.

With the above being the case, I think the "Home Bottom NowPlaying Screen" main menu item can be removed, as it's obsolete. If it's possible to easily enable the artist logo on the Home Screen info dialog, this option could be added directly to the "Settings -> Customizers -> Home NowPlaying Customizer" dialog box. If not, deleting the old "Home Bottom NowPlating Screen" will do, as the logo addition to the home screen is far from critical.

One side issue: on the "Home NowPlaying Customizer" has the option "Music BG". This is a multi-select option. The item "CD Wall" doesn't work. I believe this one might be a leftover that can be removed. All the other options work (The option "AddOn" requires "Artist Slideshow" to be installed, and was probably named "AddOn" due a lack of space in this area of the UI. Suffice to say, that option does nothing without the add-on installed.

With the feedback out of the way, I've noticed a few New issues (Oh god, no! - lol). I will list them below, carrying on my "Issue Numbering" from my prior post...

Issue 9 - Skin Settings -> Artwork Menu Item Empty:

As the title suggests; In the Skin Settings screen, the menu item for "Artwork" is empty.

Screenshot - Artwork Menu

Is this a leftover? Or should there be some settings here? I can't remember anything about this section from the Krypton version of Aeon Madnox. Indicating I never used it, even if it was present.

Issue 10 - Add-ons not installable from "Help" screen:

Maybe a non-issue. The two add-ons shown with the "No" value in the following screenshot, cannot be installed by pressing "<ENTER>" on that item. Possibly to be expected for "Artwork Beef", as that is a 3rd party add-on only available from rmrector's repo as far as I'm aware at the moment. Link to add-on forum page here.

Screenshot - Aeon Nox - Help Screen

The "TV Show - Next Aired" add-on is however available from the Kodi repository for Kodi 18 - Leia.

Issue 11 - Wall View - Orientation Black Screen:

In The "Music Library section -> Album View", opening up the sideblade, navigating down to "ViewType Settings" and selecting a change in orientation of the wall view results in a black screen. I believe a skin reload may be being attempted here. Alas, the screen stays black, and an "<ESC>" keystroke is necessary to quit back to the home screen, to clear the issue.

Screenshot - Music Library - Wall View - ViewType Settings

Since there's no point in posting a screenshot of a black screen, I've simply put up a picture of the affected menu item / setting.

A couple of side issues: When the setting "Grid Size Normal" is active, the settings "Show CD Case" and "Show Alternative CD Case" ought to be greyed out or hidden, as they have no effect on the "Grid Size Normal" view option.

Issue 11 - Shorter Time & Library Stats Panel - Truncated Text:

If the option "Shorter time and library stats panel" is enabled, and "System Info" has been set as the info line item for the "System" menu item, the text on the left hand portion is truncated / hidden from view. See screenshot below:

Screenshot - Shorter Time & Library Stats Panel - Truncated Text

The info line *tries* to scroll, but only moves about 2 pixels, then resets back to the original position. Thus, the CPU usage cannot be viewed.

That's about it for the time being.

RE: Aeon Madnox for Krypton / Jarvis - [RC2 Revision 0.9.1] 30/05 - mikeSiLVO - 2018-07-14

@gibxxi
I did not pay enough attention to your pic. The setting is explicitly for Movie and Shows. There is no episode support. That is a limitation of what is possible with the Extended Info script at this time. I did fix TV Shows which for me was not working when testing.

With second issue... I actually changed to the default icons and not colored or reloaded. If you look at the codec flag next to the year it should look the same as what you see. The reason that rating image is shown is cause I manually added a rating and it appeared after doing so.

Issue 5: Yes I see know. Was drinking (still am Wink) and it seemed to me at the time to work as intended but I will swap the setting to match. It will be posted within the hour to GitHub. I will also reduce spacing.

Issue 7: The library and fullscreen playback screens work completely differently. What works in one does not mean it works in the other, nature of the beast I'm afraid...

With that said the flac issue will be fixed as it relates to the moving of images and just like above will be fixed within the hour. As long as I remember to push my changes Wink

Issue 8: I am just keeping this skin alive at the moment and due to my respect for what schimi and Mike_Doc have done or decided to do I will only look into changing things that make some sense to me like the source content dialog. I may not have chosen to add a sliding animation nor do I know for certain if they did add it or if it was always there, cause I have no idea, but I do not plan on changing things like that at this moment. Once my personal situation starts to stabilize more and I have some more extra time after working on my own skin OFC. I can look into updating this more but honestly I am hoping that Mr. V and the MadNox rewrite happen sooner than later (or at least allow adding and working on stuff for that rewrite) cause it will be a lot easier to add things from this skin to that base then recoding this skin in its current form. Little bit of a ramble there but I hope I am concise enough.

Issue 9 is leftover from the updates I have done. I am not sure why it is still visible with no items so lets chalk that up to me not noticing it being empty after I added the options elsewhere Wink
Will be removed next update.

Issue 10 is a bug. It used to work but I guess the old way no longer installs as it once did unless you have next aired installed but not enabled. Regardless it should be fixed next push I make to Git. You are correct concerning Artwork Beef and it will install if you have that repo and once it is added to default Kodi repo.

Issue 11 should be fixed after the next update I push which was gonna be within the hour but now more like the next 10 min Wink

The side issues you mention are a big thing for me. I spend way too much time on my own skin testing and hiding settings based on what the user selects but with this skin and the many options available make it quite difficult and time consuming to fix them but I will try to get to that stuff, if I can, sometime in the future.

Thanks for the detailed posts. I do appreciate the time you have taken and will try my best to fix things when someone like yourself puts forth an effort. Not that anybody reading this has to go to those lengths but i'd rather not say anymore cause I do prefer the extra mile if possible Wink Big Grin

Edit: Home Bottom NowPlaying Settings IIRC was something added by meomoo (don't quote me on that) ATM I have no idea what it is or supposed to do. I do know that it has nothing to do with the now playing settings that you are currently using/see.

RE: Aeon Madnox for Krypton / Jarvis - [RC2 Revision 0.9.1] 30/05 - gibxxi - 2018-07-14

I apprieciate whatever you can do Mike.

I have very little coding skills, so cannot directly contribute towards Aeon Nox's coding. I'm fairly adept at "manipulation" of graphical elements in PSP, but not much good at content "creation". Therefore I go the extra mile to contribute back in terms of assistance, or bug reports, as that's about all I'm good for.

With regards timescale. Neither I, nor anyone else posting bug reports should expect "The moon on a stick" from you or any of the other devs. This is a free project, so take your time. As long as the issues being reported, are "on radar" so to speak, that's fine with me.

I have to go bother DavidBlake's "One man with a plan" thread later, but i'm all typed out atm, so that can wait (3 hours on the last post, 2 on the original). I probably spent more time posting about it, than it took you to fix it, lol.

Wink

Many Thanks,

Dan / Gib.
