Not all views are working with cases ATM but the Disc Type Media Cases, is a small thing from previous skins - we can never agree to what type of case to use, One that represents the disc eg BluRay, DVD etc or my option as it's a digital media system - the file type eg DivX, MP4, MKV etc.

Re the Kodi symbol top left, I put that in because if you've set that area to show the profile in use that's there instead - useful if you've set profiles for "others" you can see with ease whose profile they may or may not be using.

The "X" I normally take out and stick in an extra button to exit full screen but again left as "Orig Confluence" - See I did make some concessions Big Grin

I understand the debate on what media cases should be labled as. Not that interesting to me one way or the other as I don't use them. What I was sayimg though is that they show even when you have them turned off.

Re: new media banners - Ok, got you. only seems to show in the media wall view. And I note that every movie is marked with a banner - either watched banner or new banner. Even movies I've had in my library for a long time and never watched are marked as new, so it seems that the criteria for marking them as new is simply that they are not watched. Shouldn't new banner only show up on movies that are "new", as in the ones which would also show up in the new movies view?

I think the preference for what shows up in the top left corner of the home screen should be honored in the information screen displayed when a movie is playing or paused.

Yep, I note that paused video now is dimmed. Previously it would only dim if paused long enough for the screensaver to normally kick in. Preferred that since sometimes you want to pause to look at something on screen.

And I know you love messing with backgrounds... Rolleyes so now that you've got the black screen fixed I noticed a new wrinkle. I have turned off global backgrounds and apply theme one to all sections except Weather, where I have the live ones applied. Works great, but if I enter the weather section the default theme skin is applied now, whereas before it kept the live background it was using on the main menu.

The CCM graphic is very nicely done, kudos to the talented artist. However it's not to my taste. Just my vote, not a big deal.

Cheers,
RLW

Hi guys! I have another question for you: I deleted the TV Shows link while doing my Kodi menu setup. I've tried to get it back but I cannot find it anywhere. I know it is a n00b question Tongue but can someone help me?

1) On Windows 8.1 Zotac the busy animation shows in bottom right corner of screen. White arrow spinning inside a black box with the word Working.
On all other installs (4 Android devices, a Win7 PC and a Win 8.1 PC) I see a spinning white line, not an arrow, in the upper right corner of the screen and there is no black box but there is the word Working.
So I copied the skin folder from android to Windows (Zotac) and still got the same results....

2) On Windows boxes I see no option in the System - Services menu for SMB client? Don't know enough to know if it SHOULD appear in Windows but I thought it used to appear in Windows boxes.

Ok got this worked out

1) This is the result of a cobination of using Busy Animation setting and Confluence Seekbar settings
2) Feel pretty sure SMB options only show for Android devices, not positive.

I've been using CCM since XBMC Gotham and just updated my RPI to Kodi Helix 5.0.1. First thing I did was install this skin. I noticed that when I change the language settings into Portuguese, the language's specific characters don't show, like "ç" or "ã" Tongue. This is an issue caused by the default font. I don't mind having it in English, but my kids still can't read it Confused.

Thank you so much for the skin and your support!

Check Post #632 and change font to Roboto

Thanks Mudislander! Is there also any way to change the interface sounds, from the default one or the bubbles to anything else. They're starting to get annoying and I hoped that Helix would bring something new in that department XD!

RE: CCM for Helix - xbmcwayist - 2015-02-05

I'm finally using this skin full-time and it is working very well.

In using it on a regular basis, I have noticed a couple small things I wanted to share / comment on. I may have commented on this before but figured I'd ask again to see if there is any updates in the works:

1. Could you add an 'add-on browser' submenu settings button on the Main Menu Homescreen?
2. Left and right submenu tabs on the Homescreen for when there are more than 6 submenu items?
3. ExtendedInfo Script support?
4. On using the same '~/.kodi' folder on Windows, Linux, OpenELEC, and Android, the 'DVD Drive' Main Menu Homescreen item remains on all devices, even if they do not have a DVD drive. This did not happen in CCM for Gotham.
5. While the Ubuntu Font looks good, it does not support non-latin characters. I suggest having two versions of Massive.ttf, one the size it is now as a default, (perhaps called something different since it isn't 'massive'), and another a little bigger which is actually massive. It supports non-latin characters. If curious how to see it working with non-latin characters, you can see this easily by just going to 'Get More' Video Addons and on the bottom of the list there are several foreign-named addons. Just my suggestion.
6. I added an 'Aspect Ratio' OSD button on my VideoOSD. How I did it was by tweaking special://home/addons/skin.ccm.helix/720p/VideoOSD.xml.' On line 149, I added the following:

Code:
            <control type="button" id="206">
                <left>335</left>
                <top>0</top>
                <width>55</width>
                <height>55</height>
                <label>210</label>
                <font>-</font>
                <texturefocus>special://home/addons/skin.ccm.helix2/buttons/OSDAspectRatioFO.png</texturefocus>
                <texturenofocus>special://home/addons/skin.ccm.helix2/buttons/OSDAspectRatioNF.png</texturenofocus>
                <onleft>205</onleft>
                <onright>255</onright>
                <onup>1000</onup>
                <ondown>1000</ondown>
                <onclick>Dialog.Close(VideoOSD,true)</onclick>
                <onclick>AspectRatio</onclick>
                <onclick>AspectRatio</onclick>
            </control>
Note, I just added 'special://home/addons/skin.ccm.helix/buttons/' folder and included my own button I made. Can use whatever want.
Folder includes: 'OSDAspectRatioFO.png' and 'OSDAspectRatioNF.png'

Is there a link to download it?

Thanks.

Anyone?

RE: CCM for Helix - Marx1 - 2015-02-05

You can probably take it from git.
Default font in 3.0.8 didn't have international letters, no problem, I've changed it, but default should be working for everybody...
I think skin is good enough for everyday using and should stabilize. I see no need for new bells and whistles.

RE: CCM for Helix - Animal - 2015-02-05

I've been using CCM for quite some time now and had a 'tweaked' version working on my Helix since the Alphas and Beta's. I was doing a bit of browsing when I cam about this thread and reall happy it's now been released as an official skin for Helix.

What I'd like to be able to do it password/parental lock a specific menu item from the main screen. Is that possible ?

i.e. if there were adult addons all in one section, and it is clicked on a code was required to actually go on and see the addons ?

Going to install this skin this evening. Will it bring my current settings over from my current version or do I need to start from scratch with the layout ?

Thanks again mudislander - MUCH appreciated.

Edit : just re-read through the posts. Looks like I cant import from previous CCM. Ah well, keep me busy on my 3 devices Smile The password protect would be a GREAT feature though..... I can wish Wink

RE: CCM for Helix - flhthemi - 2015-02-05

Animal, i might be wrong, pretty sure you can install and setup CCM like you want it on one box then install the skin on another one, switch to CCM and shut down Kodi and copy the guisettings.xml from 1st box to 2nd box. Then go through settings on second box to rename the Kodi install (Device name in Services-Settings-General) as it will carry over.

Might have to re-add the user selected backgrounds if you used any as well.

Thanks. I'll set it up on one and then play with the others - I'll need to book an appointment to be able to get on the devices with my family anyway !
