An idea, btw, what about making nice backgrounds for the homescreen รก la Apple TV?
It could work similar to AEON with different backgrounds for different sections, but with some nice looking covers instead.

In xTV, how do you bring up the "favorites" menu using the dvd remote from the home screen? In PM3, this is the blue icon next to the red power icon, and usually I just arrow over to it.

You don't. The button for it is in the shutdown menu.

You can customize the buttons if you want.
I mapped the "0" button on the dvd remote to bring up the shutdown menu when I'm at the home screen.

Inspired by the new xTV-version I thought I could "help" some with the player controls. It's a bit Iphone-inspired, the apple tv approuch doesn't leave much room for extra controls.
The highlighted backwards-button is a hover effect. I've also add back to main menu-button (arrow), on top of the normal playlist, favorites, sound and video buttons.
Thoughts?
