Does this make sense? Not to me, but it's the way XBMC works in this regard.

Well on one hand it makes sense because you can have partially re-watched something, but it's just a bit strange to have to resume a video, and jump to the end (or beginning) to clear the orange flag. Not a big deal though at all. I just thought that the flag would only show when the video was resumable and unwatched, but I can see why it's implemented the way that it is.

Thanks...

I realized a strange thing, and very annoying. I have 3 folders on my pc with xbmc. 1 refocus, 1 refocus glass and 1 Refocus light! OK? when I create my custom menu on one of the three folders. Imagine Refocus for example ,
on the menu will be changed as the other two (glass and refocus Refocus Light) .. however 3 different folders, 3 id addon.xml different. Do you have an explanation for this?

RE: reFocus 1.3.2 for Gotham - Jeroen - 2014-06-18

The home menu configuration is stored in your XBMC profile, so it will be the same for all the versions.

The thumbnail view in music (debug Mymusicsong.xml 403 button) does not work! same for Mypics

Edit ;other views not work , list only work

reFocus availability
I am happy to announce that as of now reFocus is available on the official XBMC repository.

I will be keeping my repository add-on around, at least for the time being. I may keep using it to distribute release candidates of future releases. The version on the XBMC repository will be updated with stable releases only

@Reynald: thanks, i'll be looking into it.

Awesome news ! The popularity of the skin will rise. Expect a lot of question/requests.

Woah... be prepared for a lot of "the watched indicators are on backwards" posts.

Hi, Jeroen
Just tried the skin. To be honest - I would say the original reFocus was more to my likings. Anyway - the new one is still a very good skin, actually - one of the best skins available overall ... except the home screen. The home is the show stopper for me to use it. The old reFocus home wasn't the best possible, but the new one seems even worse to me. I know many people like it, though, so my question is - isn't it possible to offer an alternative home, more Conluence/Aeon like, so everyone is happy ;-) ? I'm ready to work on a design concept of such, if you're interested.

Hi Jeroen!

Great skin, I have been using it for years, and the new changes are very much welcomed!
I also like the new menu you have made, very clean!

I have a design idea for the menu that would benefit in your current main screen design.
While the menu is great, the submenu is activated by pressing the main item once. And if the main item needs to be activated it is pressed twice.

This costs time and is not always intuitive. Instead, I propose that instead of the submenu-items unfolding to the bottom, the screen shifts to the left and the submenu items will be shown there. This is very similar to how new movies/new episodes/music are browsed in the home screen by moving to the right.
When moving to the left once the menu (and art on the right) are shifted to the right and the submenu is shown.
By pressing right again the screen shifts yet again and the main menu is shown.

What do you think of this idea? I think it fits in your current home screen scheme and allows people to save single clicks while also saving vertical space for large submenu's.

RE: reFocus 1.3.3 for Gotham - Jeroen - 2014-06-20

Sorry, but that's not something I'll consider. There's something very unintuitive to me about pressing left to open a submenu. The submenu opening upon clicking the main menu allows for maximum discoverability.

Aside from this, your proposal will save just 1 click in 1 situation (getting to the first submenu item). If you access that submenu item so often it should probably be your main menu item Smile

I think this new menu offers maximum flexibility, I'm not really considering major changes like this to it.

Hi! Great skin, thanks!
Only few comfortable to have things missing, I think. I mean the general OSD while playing video lacks showing the passed/left play time and the buttons hint box position in the center of the screen isn't the best place for it. Also some minor notifications missing, like switching between audio streams and subtitle languages pop-ups not available make it hard to make good choice until heard or read first sentence.
Regards,
Pawel

There's duration / remaining info in the fullscreen info:

(and anytime the seekbar is displayed, so when skipping, forwarding, etc)

Regarding the audiostreams and subtitle pop-ups I am guessing you mean indicators in the library views and not actual notifications? Subtitles languages are available in the video information screen.

RE: reFocus 1.3.3 for Gotham - dopsz - 2014-06-21

I see, I just meant OSD after pressing M (not I) on the keyboard which is the same I got using Bravia remote within HOME key for via CEC. The same is with the notifications when I make use of Audio/Subtitles buttons of the remote - just like it works with Confluence there is an appropriate pop-up confirming audio/subtitle change then.

I can't reproduce this, the subtitle change notification shows up for me:
