RE: Estuary MOD V2 Matrix/Nexus KN Edition - themusj - 2023-07-22 Observation: Every time there is some update, I lose my custom backgrounds. I have to re-copy them from my local hard drive back to Kodi\addons\skin.estuary.modv2\extras\home-images. Is there a way to avoid this? I have to re-copy them from my local hard drive back to Kodi\addons\skin.estuary.modv2\extras\home-images. During an update, this is normal behaviour - all files are deleted and replaced by the new files. This applies to the path "Kodi\addons\(*****)\". If you want to keep your pictures after an update, "\userdata\addon_data\(*****)\" is the best place for them. RE: Estuary MOD V2 Matrix/Nexus KN Edition - themusj - 2023-07-23 Not sure what (*****)\ is? There is a bunch of folders in that addon-data including skin.estuary.modv2 RE: Estuary MOD V2 Matrix/Nexus KN Edition - Fuchs2468 - 2023-07-23 (2023-07-23, 03:06)themusj Wrote: Not sure what (*****)\ is? It is the file path to the addon or skin in your case it would be: "Kodi\addons\skin.estuary.modv2\extras\home-images" or then "Kodi\userdata\addon_data\skin.estuary.modv2\extras\home-images". RE: Estuary MOD V2 Matrix/Nexus KN Edition - themusj - 2023-07-23 That is where I have been keeping them. But with every update, they are getting deleted. Don't copy any files within the addon folder(s). They will be overwritten if a update occurs. This applies to all addons btw. They will be overwritten on an update! Choose single image instead and use images outside of your Kodi installation! RE: Estuary MOD V2 Matrix/Nexus KN Edition - themusj - 2023-07-25 The Light Blub just came on! Thank you for your patience. Option "Hide notifications while Playback" removed RE: Estuary MOD V2 Matrix/Nexus KN Edition - _BJ1 - 2023-07-27 See post #702 - #705 in this thread. There are some more posts here regarding alleged lack of notifications (subtitle/audio/language changes, phone callmonitor, ...). In all cases this activated option was the reason. In summary let an addon decide if a notification has to occured, not the skin. The stock Estuary skin doesn't have this option disabling notifications while playback. The behaviour now is exactly the same as default Estuary does.
