And even if the return type is "directory" what I have as returns path is the directory and the movie.xyz, not just the dir.didn't fixed yet. I'll keep you informed. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Dotan - 2012-12-21 Hi i have a suggestion about the app its would be easy if you can go to the gesture tab quicley without pressing the top right button to go to the menu and choose it maybe adding another button or shakin the iphone or turning it upside thanx RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-12-21 Hi Dotan, I didn't understand. Are talking talking about the remote control view? Reminder: you can set the default remote control (pad buttons vs gesture zone) via application settings (device settings > xbmcRemote). Yes im talking about the remote control view the default is the buttons view and i want to move quickley from the button view to the gesture tab view i found what you are talking about just thought it would be easy to make it change between the views by turning the iphone upside down thanx RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-12-21 ah ok. Usually swapping from pad buttons to gesture zone and viceversa shouldn't be a very frequent task, for this reason the button is in an another view. But some shortcuts like shake gesture could be implemented. P.S. there is an undocumented gesture in the gesture zone view: two finger tap activates the home window in XBMC GUI. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Dotan - 2012-12-21 Ok thanx i thought its nice to have all the options in the buttons view like play the movie rewind and so and when i want to move with the mouse on screen i use the gesture view thanx RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - drone - 2012-12-22 joethefox, Thank you for this fantastic app. I'm new to XBMC (from MediaBrowser), and with this app, I'm not going back. One suggestion for you. I am teaching my kids how to use the remote. It would be nice to customize/hide the various power options (like restart or shutdown) that I don't want them to press. That way, in my case, they are only able to suspend. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - tudstudent - 2012-12-25 Oke, long time I have put a message here, but I think I found a realy annoying bug. On a small HTPC (Atom D525) it is causing headaches. Description so far: When connected the app to the HTPC it is working fine, except when you swap movies real time (so movie 1 is running, you do not stop and you swap to an other one) it is adding process power on top of the original movia (my explanation). In short the CPU is stressed to its limits. If you do a clean XBMC start and start movie 1 by a keyboard the CPU is using 30%, siwtching with keyboard (also hot state) still 30%. By switcing with the remote app it immediatly takes all CPU power available (sometimes 90%). See also my topic where I was investigating an finally figured it is the app which is causing this. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=149221&page=2 Furthermore I tested with constellation app and this one is not doing this weird things, so I know for sure it is this app which is doing something strange. Besides that the only thing I will test is not HOT change, but first press stop. If I can nail the problem further down. Any questions, just rise them and I will try to help. Btw this problem is there for many months already (only comes up more since I use bitstream which is impacted so much) RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - tudstudent - 2012-12-25 OKey, I deff found the problem. Since I rebuilded all my databases again (NFS Smaba, grrrr...) took a while before I could really test again. So I was playing with my keyboard (dinovo and everything went OK whole afternoon). Then I thought lets just test step by step. So I let the xbmcremote app connect. And what did I see.... An immediate raise of my CPU with 40% (max it could get) it became a total of 80% and slugish again. Restarted XBMC problem solved again. So it should be the app. Btw I also see a big data tranfer on iptraf (not sure about that, but something is not ok in the app). Constailation is working fine. Ps. I make this a cross post for the developer of xbmc remote app since I like the app. Official XBMC Remote ios Files do not all show whilst there - Painchiller - 2012-12-26 Hi, i just started using this app and run into the following; I have a Atv2 running XBMC, this app connects perfectly. But upon browsing through te files (folders) it does not show all mkv movies whilst they are actually there. Is this a know issue? I would really like to browse through te files like a normal browser. The library option works just fine and it shows all the movies present inclusive walls and stuff, pretty amazing. But as said the file browsing option does not show alle files, just some mkv's whilst there are more that do show up in the library mode so to speak. Please fill me in if there is a fix for this! Second issue is that whilst using a video addon like 1channel, upon using the search option the remote connection is lost, when i use my atv remote to go back it immediately reconnects.. For me the most important use for the keyboard :-(. Is there a fix for this too? As said i'm new to this app, and i think its the best around yet!! Hope to hear something from you guys, thanks in advance. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Godzookee - 2012-12-27 Hi there. Awesome app have just installed XMBC on my Raspberry Pi. This may be a dumb question but I have searched your forums for a awhile now as well as playing with the app but have been unable to work out this problem. One the main screen you have 5 buttons down the left had side (this is on ipad) that say listen to music, Watch you Movies , etc.... When I taop these button i am told "No Items found" How do you tell the app where the Movies/Music are. I can browes to them via the remote control keys and play them. Not sure if it makes a difference my Movies/Music are located on a SMB shared network drive. Again awesome app. Hoping I have just missed something stupid lol. keep up the great work RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - tudstudent - 2012-12-27 (2012-12-27, 09:17)Godzookee Wrote: One the main screen you have 5 buttons down the left had side (this is on ipad) that say listen to music, Watch you Movies , etc.... Did you add your sources to XBMC and did you scan the folders to your library, if you do not scan those to library this app will not show them. (On the bottom of music for example there are icons press the folder type icon second of the right, then you will see your folders) The app will work best (and xbmc as well) if you scan your stuff to the library (database) RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Godzookee - 2012-12-27 Hi tudstudent Ok so I clicked on "Listen to Music" clicked on the foler button at the bottem left hand side it went straight to my folder and showed all the files. What do you do to get them scanned in as there doesnt seem to be another option just to back out Cheers for you help RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-12-27 @drone, to manage the power options, in particular you mean the iPhone/iPod or the ipad interface? In the iPhone there is a confirmation dialog, in the iPad instead you have to do two steps before the action is triggered (powerbutton -> action). @Baswazz, ok I'll see if something neat could be done with the movies trailers. @tudstudent, I need to know your XBMC version, your operating system and an XBMC debug log. Just tested your steps and everything is flawless here on Linux, OSX, Windows (both eden and frodo) and Raspberry Pi (frodo) with nfs shares. @Painchiller, Hi read this http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=128279&pid=1272122#pid1272122 @Godzookee, like tudstudent has well explained, you need to build both the video and music XBMC library http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Video_library http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Music_library |
