Is it possible to add an option to disable the startup Twitter checks on Kodi Launch?

I would only like to see tweets that are posted while I have Kodi open.

Would it also be possible to add a feature where you can see tweets happening in a specific area/location? Tweet locations ("geo-tagged" Tweets): https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/tutorials/filtering-tweets-by-location

Can i modify the code to work with "Frodo" or "Gotham" XBMC? I have a box that runs only ubuntu 12 smoothly.

Code does not support back porting... Would require refactoring.

I third this. I think this addon can add a lot to certain viewing experiences but having old tweets popup in startup kind of makes it difficult to justify.

Thanks for looking into it.. does this mean you’re not able to update your addon to work with the current version of Kodi? The reason I ask is so that I don’t continue to bother u with this request...

Sorry to continue to post here but this addon is my favorite kodi addon... and it’s stopped working all together on me today :/.... I’m currently using Kodi v18.7... is there anyway to get this addon working again so I can follow my favorite twitter accounts while watching my content through Kodi?

All my projects are going to be updated and added to the Matrix repository... This isn't my only project and Matrix is still alpha.

Be sure to have my Beta repo installed to receive latest updates.

After I looked into "TrumpTweets" then searching for Hashtags is possible via nitter:
