Please try it again by downloading the latest update. I found I added an extra \ in the Live Schedule URLs which would never have worked. This has been fixed now.

Tested on Windows Matrix, plugin.video.cbc-sports-main v0.0.99, updated this morning.

Ok live stream at 08:35 (BMX Mens Final) I can try.. Stream not Available!! checked cbc website and the stream is running and I am in Canada.

The capture link works fine:

Thanks. That is the type of link I would expect to get to play a live stream. There is likely a referrer URL which aligns to the JSON URL /1.6185050 which is what we will need to find. We may be able to find it with a browser. What browser are you using ?

Interesting that I was getting two different errors on different streams. One was "Connection Timed out" and the other was "Stream Not Available"

I have most of the browsers running on my PC

I've done some more digging through the addon code and see where it is parsing the HTML 5 response from CBC Sports to get the underlying URL for the live stream. I suspect the base URL has changed or similar. I'll need to instrument this section of code a bit more to see the return URL and the manipulated URL which is being called to play the video. I might be able to figure it out based upon that. Give me a few days to work on this when I get some time.

Unfortunately I can't test this until October 2nd or sometime closer than now. The next Live Schedule event with a URL is the HSBC World Rugby Sevens event and that page isn't available yet for me to test:

You are right that there is but the JSON link that CBC Sports publishes for their API doesn't have the URL yet for those events other than just sports.

I am going to need to pick apart the code more to see if it can actually parse the HTML 5 like that or not. Most other APIs I have seen provide a more specific URL for a video link..

Will post this to see if it is helpful or not. I'm at the website watching the Live stream of "2021 Skate Ontario Sectional Series September Hub Event on CBC: DAY 1"

Every time I stop the stream and then click the play button again it goes back to the same spot where it started. It doesn't restart where it should if it were live.

The addon is giving the "Stream Not Available Error"

So I've made some progress. They did post a URL for this skating event: http://www.cbc.ca/1.6190732 which takes us to the correct page. Looking through the code I see where the HTML parsing is failing. It looks like CBC Sports made some changes which is why the parsing is failing. Here's where the code is failing:

The good news is that I was able to hard code the mediaId variable and was able to get the video. I upload a version with this hard coded to see if others can play the event. I should be able to fix this parsing.

Ok. I was able to put in a bit of a hack for parsing out the mediaId variable and it appears to work. We'll need to test across a few events. Please give it a shot.

Getting closer, I am able to open the event but am not getting a video possibly because they are in a commercial filler break and the next event for the day hasn't started (I think it might be restarting at 810 pm EST). I will recheck then (about 10 min from now) Here is what I am seeing
