Can I use the Team XBMC Translator and create a string.xml which only has translated lines like below? Quote:<strings> This is much easier to manage revisions so I prefer. Or all lines untranslated also needed? - ronie - 2010-09-01 kyouhei Wrote:Hi, quick question. i've never used the xbmc translator, so can't really tell. i guess manual translation is the safest way. not sure what you mean with all the untranslated lines ?? - kyouhei - 2010-09-01 The sample I pasted only has rows translated into Japanese. Should I submit strings.xml which has the same number of rows as English strings.xml? e.g. English strings.xml has 100 rows then I only translated 20 rows of it into Japanese, do I need to submit Japanese strings.xml which only has 20 rows(I believe this is the way of strings.xml for XBMC), or which has 100 rows(20 rows Japanese, 80 rows English - untranslated)? I've tested both ways with my XBMC so translating with Team XBMC Translator works fine, though. It's easier when English strings.xml will be updated, no need to update each rows because updated rows(those are untranslated) are just inherited by English strings.xml. Sorry I'm not so good in explaining.... Thanks, - ronie - 2010-09-01 thank i get it now. please also include the english strings (if you don't want to translate them in japanese). that way it's much easier for me to keep track of things and for other to see which lines still need to be translated. - kyouhei - 2010-09-02 Japanese translation updated. - ronie - 2010-09-02 kyouhei Wrote:Japanese translation updated. thanx a lot! :-) - bignjato - 2010-09-18 Croatian updated |
