RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Godzookee - 2012-12-27 Thanks for that i think I must have skipped the scaning step when adding my movies. Cheers for the help RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - tudstudent - 2012-12-27 (2012-12-27, 12:05)joethefox Wrote: @tudstudent, I need to know your XBMC version, your operating system and an XBMC debug log. Just tested your steps and everything is flawless here on Linux, OSX, Windows (both eden and frodo) and Raspberry Pi (frodo) with nfs shares. XBMC: Latest from git (once a week I update and with every update I have this problem) OS: Opensuse 12.2 64 bit up-to-date Log 1: Fresh start of XBMC no connection of any remote device APP http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=24339 Log 2: I only have your app connected to XBMC (made connection) no action undertaken e.g. starting music is not done http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=24340 Any other information needed, let me know RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-12-27 K, and it's in Log2 the CPU overhead? If you close the remote app the CPU usage suddenly decreases? RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - tudstudent - 2012-12-27 Indeed it is log 2. If I turn the IPOD completely off the processor goes back as if the app was not used. Immediatly drops back to 31% which is normall. Did not try before, but what you say is correct. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-12-27 from Log2 seems that you are going to the "Now Playing" view. If you stay in the XBMC server selection view, the CPU usage decreases? RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - tudstudent - 2012-12-27 Interesting: What I did, started the app, made xbmc rise to 80%. As described before shutting down ipod made this drop to 31%, after that I restarted the ipod and app. Made it rise again to 80%. Deselected the server form the selection tab in the app. This is not resulting in a drop. This means, not directly! After a period of 30 seconds to 1 min did not measure it is dropping back to 30% (looks like a time-out or something). Does this answer your question? RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - c0ldvengeance - 2012-12-27 I know that the Up/Down/Left/Right buttons do not work during full screen video with the latest Frodo release, will this ever be changed with the iOS app or is there something I need to do manually? Ive looked at the Ticket that refers to this but for the life of me, I cant figure out how(or if) im suppose to use Event Server to get the iOS working again. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated as I desperately need back the Big/Small jump buttons. Many Thanks RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - rahnlys - 2012-12-28 Hi Guys, I have just moved over to XBMC from Media Browser and am loving the functionality. I am in the process of setting my my XBMC remotes for the Ipad and Iphone and have a couple of questions that I hope you will be able to help me with. I am running a Windows 7 HTPC with Frodo with data stored on a NAS. 1) Is there a way to launch XBMC from the Remote App? I use the WoL function to turn on the HTPC but that is not the only thing I use the PC for so would love to be able to tell the PC to launch XBMC. I currently am using the mouse or the Harmony Remote to launch the program. 2) I am unable to view the thumbs on the remotes (both Ipad and Iphone). I am able to see the 'now playing' thumb and information, control xbmc but when I select Movies I get the error "No items found". I have checked the server (IP ![]() I have read the thread and queried using the following both returned no info. http://192.168.15.100:5000/xbmcCmds/xbmcHttp?command=querymusicdatabase¶meter=select%20 and http://192.168.15.100:5000//xbmcCmds/xbmcHttp?command=queryvideodatabase Any help would be appreciated. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - _someone_ - 2012-12-28 Hi, the XBMC Remote was running perfectly for me until I made a clean re-install of XBMC (Frodo RC2 on OSX). I made a short video to describe the problem (click me). If I want to see all my movies in the database I just get "No items found". When I switch to the recently added movies the list appears as expected, but the entire movie list does not work. Exactly the same problem also happens at TV shows. Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks Edit: sorry, I didn't read the last post entirely. Looks like the problem #2 "rahnlys" described RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - TaperChuck - 2012-12-28 I'm looking for a remote app to control XBMC loaded on my jail-broken ATV2 with an iPod Touch 2G iOS 4.2.1 This app needs iOS 4.3 or above. Are there any older versions of this app I can use? RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Dattl - 2012-12-28 Hi Joethefox, First of all, you did an amazing app. I really appreciate that it is for Free!!! From all apps i tested i enjoy that one the most. All features i need are included. Anyway i think i found a little bug, that is not appearing in other apps. When i go to Connect->xvmc->Movies-> then the little 3 dots on the bottom right-> files -> and my main directory there aren`t all folders showing up that should be there and folders show up that should be in subfolders etc. To make it a little more clear a little caption from the "real" folderstructur: ____________________________________
what i see is ____________________________________
so my folder named "!new" and "!old" (where all movies are in) are not showing up and a subfolder of it (happy.hour) is showing up instead with no files in it i double checked it with the android app - there everything works fine - means i see all files and folders like on the disk itself i double checked it with an other iOS app named XBMoteC - there it works fine too so i think that might be a bug in your version. If it is just a "feature" that can be turned off please let me know Thank you for all your work with this amazing app i love the gesture remote with the backgroud telling you the commands ![]() Best Dattl RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-12-29 Hi guys! \m/ @tudstudent, my suspicious is that you have a bad audio configuration and then when the remote app asks for the volume value your xbmc instance goes in paranoia. Could be that you have audio issues? @c0ldvengeance, nope sadly isn't an user configuration to be changed to use the event server, instead there is the need to code inside the app to support the event server. @rahnlys, 1) nope the remote app talks only with XBMC and not with the operating system where XBMC runs. 2) did you have build the music and video XBMC library? http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Video_library http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Music_library @_someone_, did you use nfo file to provide data for a video file in XBMC? If so, non-UTF8 characters causes JSON-RPC error. @TaperChuck, in the truth the app requires at least iOS 5.0, sorry. @Dattl, I know the issue and I'm working on it. Could be that you have audio issues? No I am not having any audio issues (not regular audio types), however I am using bitstream sometimes, but it is not used when CPU goes nuts. Also Constellation is not causing any CPU rise. Is Constellation completely different or is it something else you mean with audio issues (can you be clearer in your question)? RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-12-29 @tudstudent, I have only deducted an audio issue from what I saw from log2, the app is requesting the volume level when you have the cpu rise. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - tudstudent - 2012-12-29 Aha, I see what you mean, how can we further investigate this, aka what does it want? Since as mentioned before constellation has no problem at all? |
