Some do stutter but others play fine.30GB is meaningless unless you know the length of the movie. bitrate is what is relevant! Actually, bitrate is also meaningless. The one true king is knowing the video format, profile and level RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - rj2763 - 2014-04-08 (2014-04-08, 04:26)elmerohueso Wrote: If anyone's interested, I modified the splash screen for "XBMC on OUYA". It looks great, thanks! I'm confused about placement. Where do you put the file, and how did you get it there? adb, xbmcfm, estrong? Type adb push splash.png /sdcard/Android/data/tv.ouya.xbmc/files/.xbmc/media/splash.png Assuming you put the splash.png in your platform-tools directory. RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - ilovemymac - 2014-04-08 I dont understand using the Eclipse eviro or how to sideload this. Can someone give better instructions. Im very familiar with terminal i have used it a number of times to install XBMC on apple tvs and so on. I have used terminal for other things as well. I saw on amazons page you can use eclipse but im still not seeing what it says i should be seeing. all i get is when i type the ./adb kill-server it says ADB no such file or server RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - rj2763 - 2014-04-08 (2014-04-08, 08:08)ilovemymac Wrote: I dont understand using the Eclipse eviro or how to sideload this. ADB was easier for me than eclipse https://developer.amazon.com/sdk/asb/connect-adb.html Then install from command line https://developer.amazon.com/sdk/asb/app-install.html RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - dismantler - 2014-04-08 I ran the Jellyfish Bitrate files on a wired connection with the suggested Ouya build. On the fire tv up to 70 Mbps appear smooth and the frame rate appears steady from 23.98 fps to 24.00 fps. It's difficult to judge if it's actually smooth from these short clips, looks as though from about 50 Mbps on up there could be some very slight stutters. My windows 7 machine with a I5 2500k and a Nvidia 560 Ti made it to 100 Mbps in XBMC before becoming unable to maintain a consistent frame-rate of 23.98 to 24 fps. It did however seem slightly jittery at 100 Mbps but reported a steady frame rate. Forgot to add, files were on the windows 7 machine. RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - Topken - 2014-04-08 dismantler could always look at the list here as a number of them are several mins http://www.demo-world.eu/trailers/high-definition-trailers.php RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - dismantler - 2014-04-08 I didn't really know which to pick here so I did this one: http://www.demo-world.eu/trailers/redirect-high-definition.php?file=hd_other_samsung_animal.rar&pic=hd_other_samsung_animal.jpg It had a bit-rate of 8.8 Mbps and a fps of 29. The format was .m2ts Played great and stayed at 29 fps the whole time.
