RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - matt0 - 2015-11-12 Quote:(2015-11-10, 08:09)thekow Wrote: Quick Question. With Aeon mq6 released they "support" cinema vision in the skin. Although when you click the movie and choose cinema vision, the output of cinema vision says there is no features to play. So do i need to modify the skin or plugin to get this to work. I'm in the same boat though I suspect this is an AEON MQ6 skin issue not Cinema Vision. Anyway I've taken two screenshots as I don't think logs would explain it well enough. Essentially with the quick menu/widget you highlight a movie and click 'Cinema Vision' it then states that there's no movies in the queue. The only way (I've found) to add a movie to the queue in this skin is to enter the movies list, scroll through, right click the chosen movie and add it to the queue Image 1 Image 2 Again, I think this is a Aeon MQ6 issue rather than a Cinema Vision issue RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Dave the Minion - 2015-11-12 ***** Big Edit: I think my below question has been answered after I've made all the file name changes, edited all the headers and then updated both my Kodi database and the CV content database. 3D movies are detected by CV, the 3D sequence is run, 3D "coming soon" trailers play in 3D from the local 4D Trailers directory and 3D "Now Showing" trailers are played in 3D from the local Kodi DB library. I'll leave the big post for those who want to read and if anyone has questions please ask. For me, this works well (so far). ***** Question about 3D detection. How does CV determine to play a video for a 3D sequence. Must the video include a hsbs or similar tag in order for CV to recognize it? The reason for my question is I am trying to clean up my library and eliminate as many naming tags as possible that I can. For all my 3D "coming soon" trailers I've conversted all files to MKV and in the file header changed the Video Stereo Mode in the video track to '1' which denotes the video as a SBS stereoscopic video. Without any other naming tags Kodi is able to read the header and plays back this video in SBS mode automatically. In order to get these 3D "coming soon" trailers to work with CV I had to change the setting in the Trailers folder option to detect 3D based on feature to NO. If set to YES CV will look for some naming tags, in my case of testing hsbs, in order to play back the files. With the setting changed to NO CV will automatically read any file in the designated directory of which they are all MKV with the proper header settings. Kodi plays them back in sbs 3D as intended. Now to get the same action in my "Now Playing" trailers which are taken from the Kodi library, is CV looking for certain naming tags in the movie file name in order to play back these files? Again, all my local Kodi DB movies have a local trailer, in sbs 3D MKV with the edited headers which Kodi play in sbs by default. I want to eliminate all the 3D hsbs and-so-on cumulative tags and I believe now hat the Rasp Pi2 will playback MVC MKV without needing to fake the hsbs tags (Edit: This is possible IF you also edit the MKV header Stereo Mode to 13 which I guess still tricks the Pi to playing in SBS mode but will play in regular 2D mode on a non-3D device as normal). I use my own custom (and so much easier to understand) Bluray3D tag to designate my 3D movies within my custom skin and to get CV to recognize 3D movies in order to run the 3D sequence. So, long winded post brought back to a simpler question, what does CV look for in order to determine is a file is 3D or not? Specifically to playback local DB trailers from ONLY your 3D designated movies, or to ignore these movies/trailers? RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - MidnightWatcher - 2015-11-12 (2015-11-12, 09:17)matt0 Wrote: Image 1Assuming you're using Handbrake, if you re-encode the video from your Blu-rays to reduce the overall file size I'd recommend using DTS-HD or TrueHD passthrough for the audio. It'll sound much better and won't increase the file size too much. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - RoaringTiger - 2015-11-13 Hi. Firstly thank you for the excellent work and amazing add-on .And now about the problem: Cinema Vusion (v.1.0.2/1.0.1/1.0.0/1.0.0b1) is not working after the update. Movies from the context menu does not run. The button <Play> is not active. I had to go back to the previous version. Now I use CV v. 0.0.50.This version works fine. Thanks for your help. I'd reach out to Marcos and see what he says. We're happy to help in any way we can. Currently, trailers for KodiDB just checks the tags. Kodi doesn't save any information for the trailers other than the path to the trailer. In any case, I'd suggest following the file naming convention recommended for Kodi, and the filename tagging for 3D recommended by Kodi. For locally stored trailers, make sure the trailer is named the same as the feature, and add -trailer to the end of the filename. Here's an example of the naming convention I use for Movies: Movies\Avatar\Avatar (Blu-ray).mkv Movies\Avatar\Avatar (Blu-ray)-trailer.mkv Movies\Some Like It Hot\Some Like It Hot (Blu-ray).mkv Movies\Top Gun\Top Gun (Blu-ray).mkv 3D Movies\Up\Up (Blu-ray 3DSBS).mkv 3D Movies\Up\Up (Blu-ray 3DSBS)-trailer.mkv Here's an example of the naming convention I use for TV Shows: Television\I Love Lucy\Season 1\S01E01 The Girls Want to Go to the Nightclub.mkv Television\I Love Lucy\Season 1\S01E02 Be a Pal.mkv Television\Firefly\Season 1\S01E01 The Train Job.mkv Television\Firefly\Season 1\S01E02 Bushwhacked.mkv Television\Game of Thrones\Season 5\S05E01 The Wars to Come.mkv Television\Game of Thrones\Season 5\S05E02 The House of Black and White.mkv Hope that helps! So it looks like there's an encoding error on a specific genre. Our developer is looking into what's causing it. I'll let you know if we need more information from you. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Carl314 - 2015-11-13 I have had only limited success with CV working on my system with the past few versions. I'm currently on 1.0.2, and I can play the sequence just fine when launching CV directly. But when I try to launch it from the context menu or the movie information screen, I get an error immediately. Log file here http://pastebin.com/r7FwbgBz, showing reboot, playing sequence from launch, and then trying to launch CV from the movie information screen. I'm using Nox:SiLVO mod, but could not get it working on Confluence either. Thanks, Carl. Currently, trailers for KodiDB just checks the tags. Kodi doesn't save any information for the trailers other than the path to the trailer. What I've been able to do, for my own systems, is simplify things greatly. All 3D videos, HSHS or full HD MVC 3D, are in MKV containers. All the MKV containers headers have been edited to activate the 3D setting based on the type of 3D it is. Kodi will recognize these specific header settings and will always activate the appropriate 3D playback state. The only real issue now is the Kodi can't yet playback full MVC 3D MKV natively on a HTPC so I have to use a lesser powered Pi in order to get that to work. CV pulls the 3D trailers from the 3D movies based on the filename tag I have set-up in the CV config. The "suggested by Kodi" tags are silly in that they have far to many and can easily get messed up. Making my files automatically 3D without needing naming tags within Kodi is a MUCH better solution. Then I can use a very simple 3D tag to get a Bluray 3D icon in my skin and have CV recognize a movie as 3D. The only issues I'm having with CV now is that for some reason CV on the Pi won't scan all the proper videos so it won't play them all back properly in the sequence. And I'd love to be able to send a command to the TV and/or projector to switch to SBS or MVC 3D mode once and not try to switch back and fourth which causes on screen displays from the TV and projector to pop up. Maybe that's something Kodi needs to do? An action that puts Kodi into SBS mode and doesn't change it back until it gets another action, or returns to the main menu. I have no idea how to get that coded though. Still boggle my mind that some of the more simpler things that you'd think should work still don't when it comes to 3D. Playback being the biggest WTF of them all. If no luck I'll see what Marcos thinks. Thanks again CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Cinephile - 2015-11-14 Silly question but how do I uninstall CV entirely? I'd like to reinstall the add-on from scratch but am unsure which files need to be deleted and where they are located. Choosing "uninstall" from add-on menu doesn't actually remove anything. Hi try deleting the folders for CV usually located C:\Users\pcname\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons and C:\Users\pcname\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\addon_data see if that helps RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - marhutchy - 2015-11-15 (2015-11-15, 13:01)wints Wrote:(2015-11-14, 23:31)HomeTheatreGuru Wrote: Silly question but how do I uninstall CV entirely? To make it a bit easier for you - if you didn't understand - just hit the Windows Key + R, or Start then Run. After which you copy and paste the following codes: Code: %appdata%\kodi\addons Code: %appdata%\kodi\userdata\addon_data CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Cinephile - 2015-11-15 My apologies, I should've said that I am running Openelec. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Agent62 - 2015-11-15 Hi Guys, I am still having issues getting the disable refresh actions to work. I have created a pastebin account and have uploaded my current log to it from Cinema Vision addon settings. Do I just paste it here to have you guys take a look at it? RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Warner306 - 2015-11-15 For those interested, CinemaVision is now compatible with Kodi DSPlayer thanks to changes to the player. You'll need to access your OpenELEC device remotely. Go to OpenELEC's info screen and write down the IP. Next, go to a PC on the same network and just type in the IP in Explorer (In my case it's simply \\192.168.0.101). This should then bring up the OpenELEC directory structure. Navigate to "Userdata" and then "addon_data" and delete the "script.cinemavision" folder after you uninstall it. |
