The enter key does not bring up the player controls in fullscreen and once I have opened a music file and it is playing, I am unable to stop rewind or fast foward.
This is only the case when playing music files, when video files are being played the enter button on the remote will pop-up the player controls and everything is fine.
The standard confluence skin show the player controls when opening the sidebar and also on the home screen on top of the nav slider.
If this is also possible in refocus skin it would be really great.

I'll think about that and look into it. If I don't run into any practical issues with it I guess I could add an option for player controls in the sidebar. Adding them to the home menu is not very likely though I'm afraid.

About the player controls, as available space is quite limited in the sidebar, would you agree that including rewind and fast forward buttons isn't all that useful here?
I mean, if there's a video playing I'm not really sure why anyone would want to fast forward or rewind without actually watching the video? And when playing music, skipping to the next or previous track seems to be far more used than rewinding or forwarding. Personally I hardly ever seek in tracks.
I'm sure sometimes someone on some occasion would use it, but imo the controls used in the sidebar should be the most used ones as space is limited.

I do not even understand why want added control player on the side bar, Is "M" Do not work for the other? If I'm on the menu, "M", if I'm on a film article "M", also the music! why added control over player? after that is your skin and you do as you like!

I'm assuming his remote doesn't have playback controls and / or doesn't allow custom key mapping.
If it gets added it will be optional and off by default.

Player controls in the options menu / sidebar:
Adding the fwd and rwd buttons in there too makes the individual buttons really small and makes the whole thing look very cramped.
The button on the right takes you fullscreen. When playing music that button is replaced by a button that takes you to the current playlist.
Activating these player controls will make them replace the "Enable now playing button in options menu" skin setting that is already in the skin.

That looks really wonderful! And I agree that fwd/rewind buttons are not really needed here. And yes, I am using my TV's remote that does not have a "m" button. In fact, it only has Arrow keys and an "enter" (OK) key.
This would make your skin more exclusive because I have not seen this in any othe custom skin. Only confluence seem to have the controls in the sidebar.
Will this option be in a new release? Or can I adapt something in the current version to have it?

this is something I would not have thought if I had coded a skin alone. It is true that it does not dirty on the beautiful design Refocus. (Is that a white focus would be even more beautiful, white no selected, black selected??)

This option will be in a new release. It needs some code cleaning and texture updates first.

I have a few questions though.
When playing video and popping up the controls, there is no information about the media like if the audio is dd 5.1 or dts or the video is SD or HD quality. Will this be added too?
When playing dvd iso, the menu button in the player controls has transparent color and makes it look like the controls are being cut in two parts, can you fix that?
When I am in the reFocus settings and I have changed the setting for the main screen to display a single image or a folder with images as the background, I am unable to change it back to the default setting of displaying the default reFocus background (that beautiful picture of a living room). How can I solve this?

Bit of the same answer as here I'm afraid. I understand the shortage of buttons on your remote prevents you from accessing the on screen info and the player controls. There's only so much I can address what is essentially a limitation of the remote. What I could do is add a button to the menu that will open / switch to the on screen info. It will take extra clicks, but at least you will be able to get to the info.
The on screen info doesn't show audio information. I wonder in what use case it's important to have this displayed front and center after you already started playback though. For those (I would think occasional) times this is relevant it is accessible in the audio settings window.

How can I solve this?Press the "Use single image as background" option, and when the dialog to select the image appears just back / cancel out of that window and it will fall back to that default image.
