Not sure what the issue is, but I am syncing all my movies from Emby Addon to the Kodi Library. However some movies are showing in moviedb player with the icon this is available in local library, BUT other movies are not having this icon and I am 1000% theses movies are available in local library.

I uninstalled Kodi on my Shield TV and tried again, but the issue still persists.. can you support please on correct install methode and how to ensure moviedb is updating the database?

Edit: installed Embuary info, when checking Trending Today Widget I can see the icon for movies in my library

HOWEVER moviedb helper, is not showing for all my movies..

Thanks

Just because the icon isn't showing doesn't mean they're not in your library... but TMDbHelper doesn't "update" your database. You're talking about a minor aesthetic bug in TMDbHelper, not in AH.

No, moviedb is showing not available in my local library as I cannot play the ones without the icon compared to the ines which are having the icon. So this is not just aesthetic.. I'instwlled AH and TMDbhelper first, installed then Emby for Kodi, synchronized all my movies to kodi. Some movies are recognized by TMDbhelper and others not. Same with series..

My last question. Can we expect more views in future? I rather have some choice.

Keep up the good work. It's a joy to navigate the ui.

Option to disable TMDb lists and ratings will be coming
https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arctic.horizon/issues/3
https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arctic.horizon/issues/4

The blur issue is a colorbox addon issue (it provides the blur) - not much that can be done from the skin side.

There will be no selectable viewtypes in this skin except for some edge cases where it is necessary (e.g. AEL since artwork aspect changes depending on the game system and also some PVR sections where list is easier because the backend supplies minimal info).

Hello JM,
Noticed a bug.
Enable all info dialog lists, except crew.
Can't scroll down on info dialog.
Have to enable crew to allow for scrolling down.

Jurialmunkey, will you add the file location at some point at you've done before?

Is it not visible in the "overview" section?

Probably the name or year in the library doesn't match what is on themoviedb, or you are using different language settings.

Would this be a "fuzzy matching" situation, or does that not apply?

That would be very strange if I am honest.. I have several movies in my library, some are recognized as local and some are not.

At the start not 1 movie was recognized by TMDbhelper, however suddenly a couple of movies were recognized as local, so I am not sure if there is any background services going on and not finished?

RE: Arctic Horizon - Rijs43 - 2020-04-01

Hi JM,

In 'Based on recently watched' widget from TMDb helper the widget header is not mentioning based on which movie or store, however when clicking on 'Show more' button I can see the name of the serie/movie next to the 'sort by:' header where the suggestions are based on.

Is it possible to have the name of the movie/serie in the widget header as well so we know on what titles the recommendations are based on?

Thanks.

Why would it be strange? It is very common for different regions to have different release dates or for different languages/regions to have different titles for the same movie. If the region/language in your scraper doesn't match the region/language in TMDbHelper, then not all items will match. Also, if your scraper uses information from a source other than TMDb, then it is also possible that source has different details.

There is no background process. When the TMDBHelper plugin creates a list, it calls Kodi JSONRPC to retrieve the dbid, title, year, and default id of all items in the library. It then looks through the list of default IDs for an ID that matches the IMDb ID listed on TMDb for that item. If it can't find that, then it looks through the list of titles for a match, then it looks through those matching titles for one with a matching year (it needs to match year because otherwise you would get Robocop 2014 when the item listed is Robocop 1987).

If a match is found, the Kodi DBID for that item is returned. The DBID is then added to the item's ListItem.DBID field. In the skin, any item from a plugin that has a DBID is assumed to be a library item and so the library indicator is displayed.

Not possible because you can't get Container.PluginCategory from a widget - you can only get that field in the library.

If you know the container ID of the widget, you can get the name by referencing it in the label with
$INFO[Container(ID).ListItem.Property(widget)] but that requires you to know what the ID for the widget is.

For the player to recognise a locally playable file, fuzzy matching applies if the setting is set. However, for matching DBID inside the list, fuzzy matching option is not applied because we don't want false positives adding incorrect info which will then subsequently cause false positives in non-local players.

Skin is getting better every day, I haven't been so happy with a skin since Welo. I'm not 100% sure that it hasn't been asked again but are there plans to have a widget aspect "fanart" or "fullscreen" for widgets the way it's done for the default fallback widget?

Thanks for all your amazing work.

Yeah I've been tossing up about whether or not the title label should display for the next page item or not. It makes sense to show it because that is often where my eyes look for info - but at the same time I like seeing the time to indicate that the current item is not something with metadata.

Ah Welo! That brings back memories. I actually have a feeling that my old xbox sitting in the back of one of my cupboards has the Welo skin on it (it's either that or Alaska).

Yeah, I definitely plan to have the ability to customise the fullscreen widget on a per main menu item basis. Also hoping to have an option to be able to swap the fullscreen widget with the showcase hub.
