Temporary solution to what I mentioned earlier . I took a screenshot of movies mainmenu home screen with a widget highlighted. Put it in "extras/backgrounds" folder and set it as background for movies in skin settings. Repeat with screenshots for other main menu items.
Pic on right is with the menu item highlighted not a widget.

Hi,
Couple of things after testing.
The trailers are working much better now, except local library.
1. Is automatically trailer only for tmdbhelper widgets or also local files?
2. When trailer plays.. this keeps repeating. Option to play only once if poster is highlited?
3. When trailer plays and I switch to another movie.. it seems that the previous trailer is not ended yet as the wheel is still spinning (next to widget title). Once terminated the next video trailer will start. This is causing a little bit of delay..
4. Possible to hide the splash screen before a trailer starts?
Edit: Also possible to swap the half cut widget row to below instead of top? Now the focused widget is down and the previous half cut is above.. seems a little bit weird
Edit2: Please can you have a look at Kodi Wip Skin SWAN? The set up is quiet good for Flix view and also how he managed to have the background? SWAN is also having an automatically play trailer function..

wanted to add on to something that might help, when trying to play trailers from the widgets, certain widgets don't work. Any episode widget will not play a trailer, and cause a cycle of a lookup, a failure to play, an error and thats the cycle. The movie widget "Recently Played" from default widgets will play the trailers for a second or two and then produce an error, but the same trailers play fine when done through the "titles" widget.
Those are the things i noticed so far, but it looks super good and can't wait to see the finished product!

First time I use the skin and I’m trying it now. One issue I found is that Recently Added Movies text is not showing both on submenu and hub. This is happening in Movies and TV Shows.

Other thing, in Manage dependencies the following are unchecked, is it ok?
script.tv.show.next.aired (I can’t install it, it says installation failed)
script.artwork.beef (can’t install)
script.artwork.helper (can’t install)

I tried to do it before but no luck. Fixed scrolling works well when you scrolling left/right not up/bottom. With it you have to deal with animations to make something like fixed scrolling up/bottom.
I will try to implement this but when everything will be done.

I said, please don't install it as a daily driver, only for tests

Thanks! I noticed that failure playback error too. I'm not sure yet what causing it but will try to fix it
