I know you wish to avoid re-scraping your library particularly when we're not sure that would even help. But if nothing has work yet it might be the only option.
I'll try to guide through a less painful way to test if that is indeed the only solution. You can test by; (1) REMOVE FROM LIBRARY one or two movies. (2) Shutdown Kodi. (3) Manually move the movies you previous removed from library in step 1 to a temp folder (not in the source) then delete the simplecache.db like you did before. (4) Restart Kodi and CLEAN VIDEO LIBRARY. (5) Shutdown Kodi. (6) Return the test movies to where they belong. (7) Restart Kodi and UPDATE VIDEO LIBRARY. (8) Shutdown and restart Kodi.
Finally, now check and see if the test movies have their country flags. If they don't then you spared yourself the heartbreak and time wasted only to find out that won't fix it. That will also tell us we either missed something or problem is more serious. On the other hand, if test movies do now have their country flags you'll know you have to suck it up and do it. If that's the case let me know before you start and we can do a couple of things that might streamline the prosses as well as prepare you for any future database rebuilding, because sometimes it is the only way to fix a problem.

@Juan Mortyme I do not experience this issue. I use Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 and it works fine. Are you running Kodi in Windows or Linux server/NAS ?. I have my Movies in Linux based server/NAS so I edit every file that it does not contain any spaces (I replace space in file name with . ) and it just works.

The strange thing is that if I go to the "INFORMATION" panel the Location Flag appears, then when I return to the gallery the flag remains the same for all the films .
If I exit and go back into Kodi no location flag appears.

I don't know if it may also depend on the syntax of the files that are in the respective folders.

Currently I have everything on a single computer running Windows 10 Pro attached to my 54 inch LG TV and old 5.1 amp. But I have in the past used a secondary Windows based computer as my "server"/storage device and will again since a new build is likely in the near future at which time I'll repurpose this one. I rarely have problems with Kodi that aren't skin or addon related. I can't address Kodi issues exclusive to other OS as I have little experience with and no interest in other OS. Luckily platform specific problems are few and pretty obvious when a whole bunch of users all with the same devices have similar problems.
And now for my rant. I started on Commodore 64 then Amiga computers in the late 70s early 80s finally switching to Microsoft when Windows 95 came along. I've fiddled around with Linux but it reminds me DOS, too much typing. I haven't touch Android in 10 years or so. I rooted Android devices back then but other than a phone OS I never took Android seriously. As for Apple, in so much as I don't like Microsoft I really hate Apple. Their products are great but their business model sucks, Jobs or his ghost has his hand in your pocket every time you turn an Apple product on. I haven't even owned a game console because a decent PC will play any game regardless of it being Xbox, Play Station or whatever. But that's just my opinion. See, look what you made my do? You triggered an "OK boomer" rant.

AMEN! Only difference is I need a phone that works as a phone for work.
Android does not like me, nor I him. Never have, never will. So iPhone only option... for now.
PC only because it's the lesser of options . Again Linux is more like working a computer than ON a computer, Apple is good, but no daily driver should cost that much for a low grade spec machine.
Till any viable options come out, here I sit.

After many 're-do's' having various things work, then the next day be gone. For me I have had the custom list go from 38 back the the original 10 or so and have yet to find the point that it happened.
I just start fresh and try to keep[ an eye on things.
I have read through all MQ threads that were Multi mod/mod related. Some install tips are no longer needed and most everything is available through latts repo now.
But I am finding that there is a best or proper order to install MQ.
Is there an actual install guide somewhere that I have not stumbled upon yet?
Like when to install what. When you get to this point do a backup, reset and re install the settings. then add these... type of thing.
I have seen so much in the way if tips, this must be done this way posts but all are no longer viable, or have been written into the mod. It would probably cut down on the same questions being asked repeatedly.
Like this time I don't know if the Omaga_settings_scripts are still needed or has it been incorporated to the skin in the last update?
Sorry if this is all been answered somewhere. I have been reading and maybe I clicked over a page?

I just tested this mod on a fresh install of Omega, and all I had to do was install my repo and then install the skin...and I had zero dependency errors. This was tested on Windows 10.
The Omega settings scripts are still required if you want to export/import all your Holiday settings. If you don't care about that and only want to create a backup of your skin settings, you can use the export and import function in Skin Settings.

That is exactly what I understood as far as installing goes.
I believe it was the last update where I created a backup as always, then installed the update, restarted Kodi all seemed normal.
Then I imported the backup and the custom views were all reset. This is my most common issue. It must be something on my end or else I wouldn't be the only person asking about it.
I'm on windows 10 as well. maybe it's just my old system and maybe before I check all my settings, I should give it more than 5 min. I forget how heavy this skin can get, and quickly.
So If it happens again I will know when and what I did. Every time I do anything I will check that all is well before and after.
If I see them not returning I will either ask or send the log file in so someone can spot the weak link quickly. That is the only thing that I have not been able to correct so far.
This is the first re-making that I did where I didn't drop in the old xml's and settings. I did copy them but each was done single tweak art a time. I wanted to be sure that I didn't un knowingly change a setting.
I have plenty of desk space yet seems my mouse (MX Master 3) with it's low click slope tend to slip under the oddest things. Any time I'm in an xml and I slip under my pen tablet edge, and I hear my mouse click.
It gives my anxiety a bit of a workout.
I have the file checker so I can compare any changes. But what if they match because I used an xml that was off in the first place?
I am guessing that is most likely what happened.

Good morning.
I noticed a difference in archive management in this mod version.
In the "FILES" section when I select a title and then "INFORMATION>REFRESH" it doesn't show the title of the movie but the title of the main folder and you have to rewrite the title of the movie.

When installing updates, the custom views list is overwritten with the default views list. After the update is complete, you will need to select "DEFAULT VIEWS LIST" and then back to "CUSTOM VIEWS LIST".

Hmm...when I select "RELOAD" I see the "SELECT MOVIE" window. I have to select "MANUAL" at the bottom of the window to see the "ENTER THE MOVIE NAME" window.

Ahhh... Alrighty then. Herein lye's my problem.
I was only setting it to custom and it was never re-appearing.
Well we learn by our mistakes. So off to learn some more.

UPDATE #27 - This will update the skin to v1.2.8
Addition- I added Entertainment Studios Motion Pictures to the white and colored studios.
Bug fixes- There was a "Can't find window favourites" error in the logs. Thanks to Park for repoorting the error!
- There was a "value_mediaicons_path" variable warning in the logs. Thanks to Park for repoorting the error!
- The Metacritic Must-See icon was not displaying due to the invalid string SkinHelper.ListItem.MetaCritic.Votes. Thanks to martinsvision for reporting the bug!
There is also an update to the Colored and White Studio Icons add-ons available in my repo.
