- dbone1026 - 2009-02-25 Fekker - sorry if I missed something in a previous post. What are the media images you are referring to for tv shows, fanart/thumbs for that specific epsiode? - fekker - 2009-02-25 Quote:Fekker - sorry if I missed something in a previous post. What are the media images you are referring to for tv shows, fanart/thumbs for that specific epsiode? Good Question Media Images are the images for the Front, Back, CD's, Inserts and Inlays that go with physical media for Movies, TV Shows, and Music. These are coming with the next release of MIP with images from freecovers.net - jetskijoe - 2009-02-26 Is there any special way that we should have our Movie Folders setup. For example: Movie --> Movie Name -----> moviename-CD1.avi moviename-CD2.avi or the way I have it: Movie --> A -----> Movie Name ----------> moviename-CD1.avi moviename-CD2.avi --> B -----> Movie Name ----------> moviename-CD1.avi moviename-CD2.avi and so on. Will it matter in the long run the way it is setup since I am now going threw and cleanup my tv shows how should I setup my movies. Thanks Joe - kizer - 2009-02-26 Currently mine is like this Movies/ -Transformers/ ---Transformers - Cd1.avi ---Transformers - Cd2.avi -Hitch/ ---Hitch.avi TV/ -Battlestar Galactica/ --Season 1/ ---Battlestar Galactica - S01E01.avi ---Battlestar Galactica - S01E02.avi --Season 2/ ---Battlestar Galactica - S02E01.avi ---Battlestar Galactica - S02E02.avi -Heroes/ --Season 1/ ---Heroes - S01E01.avi ---Heroes - S01E02.avi --Season 2/ ---Heroes - S02E01.avi ---Heroes - S02E02.avi I haven't tried using Season 01 for seasons that are well more than 9 since sometimes windows likes to sort 11 before 1, but I guess I could try it sometime. Also for specials you would use Season 0 - kizer - 2009-02-26 In your sorting do use A and B as say action and drama? Or are you using A and B as a method of putting all your A movie tittles in A and all your B movie titles in B? movie sorting - jetskijoe - 2009-02-26 kizer Wrote:In your sorting do use A and B as say action and drama? I am using A = all movies that begin with A and B all movies beinging with B it was to hard to figure out what was action what was drama and so on. I have over 1000 movies on one drive and the folder browsing is crazy if they are all in one folder so I have split them up in First letter movies. excluding (A, the, an, ... etc) - fekker - 2009-02-26 jetskijoe Wrote:Is there any special way that we should have our Movie Folders setup. That setup is fine. For the next version (that one i'm working on) to ignore the A, B, etc.. folders, put a blank file named specialfolder.nfo in the A folder, another in the B folder, etc. This will tell MIP that it's not a movie, but not prevent it from scanning the sub folders. specialfolder.nfo is what I'm using for the new folders it's going to create for the Media Images.. that folder will be named "extras" (all lower case) and will contain any of the Media Images and associated thumbnails for those large image files. The new version is coming along nicely, there's a few hickups, and some things I'll need to change for the sheer number of file downloads, but it's looking good. I'll have a version out later today for the testers. - fekker - 2009-02-26 kizer Wrote:Currently mine is like this That's perfect.. I wouldn't use Season 01, but I'll code in for it to look there as well for shows since it's makes sense for windows sort order. Can I be a tester? - jetskijoe - 2009-02-26 what does it take to be a test? - digitalhigh - 2009-02-26 @fekker - I now basic implementation of the extra cover images set up and ready to go in my skin. You can check out the screenie over in the Serenity thread. Right now, it's just using front.jpg/CD1.jpg/CD2.jpg/inner.jpg all at once, but I'm thinking about doing something like was discussed here where you see the front cover, then it pops open with the inner gfx (outer if no inner is there) and the CD image(s). Maybe make that the third viewtype in the video library sections... Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I have a working model going. ![]() - kizer - 2009-02-26 Could you have the cover of the DVD be the fan art and when you click on the info it opens up the back cover with all the info on the back? It would be like flipping over the DVD to read the back. Of course you would have to create anothe view like you said. Call it full Case view or something like that. - fekker - 2009-02-26 digitalhigh Wrote:@fekker - That skin looks very cool, nice work! - fekker - 2009-02-28 Ok I've just wrapped up TV Show Media Images, as I was going through them and trying it out some things came to light and put me behind schedule a few days. - More then 1 cover image could be needed, and for most cases would be needed.. which means more inserts and inlays could be needed - More then 4 cd's are needed, some have 8 discs, some even more with that in mind, when adding the Media Images to TV Shows you can either use the base setting, which means when you click on an image under the "CD1" tab, it saves and considers it CD1. This is the default for All 8 tabs.. (front, back, cd1, cd2, cd3, cd4, inlay, insert) ... there's also a setting you can check to allow you to pick what you want to save it as which increases the number of fronts, backs, inlays, and inserts to 10 and the number is disc images to 15. This is also handy as some times things are just put into any catagory so they can fit 8 cd images for one show (on freecovers).. when checked, this option will display a dialog that will allow you to decide what to save it as.. since a picture is worth a 1,000 words.. here's what the Media Images look like with tv shows. And here's the selection options (ignore the typo for images ![]() ![]() I'm moving on to the Music Media Images now, test folk, check your pm's late tonight for the updated links. - kizer - 2009-02-28 Hey nice new Avatar you have there. ![]() - fekker - 2009-02-28 kizer Wrote:Hey nice new Avatar you have there. ![]() |
