RE: Arctic: Zephyr - a_user - 2015-03-12 hi, would you mind making the fonts a litle bit larger, especially the time and date/weather text in the main menu, the description about what is currently rnning in video/pvr info etc. or the movie descritpions in the info screen. i have a 40" tv sitting 3,5m away and it is mostly not readable. most of the skins here seem to have font sizes hard to the limit of readability if you're not sitting within 2m or have a 50" tv. but this one seems too small. eminence was quite fine. even though the infos of in the info panel during fullscreen video playback was a bit hard, but still readable. There is already an option for larger font in settings/appearance/font RE: Arctic: Zephyr - a_user - 2015-03-12 (2015-03-12, 00:23)mark2112 Wrote:(2015-03-12, 00:03)a_user Wrote: hi, would you mind making the fonts a litle bit larger, especially the time and date/weather text in the main menu, the description about what is currently rnning in video/pvr info etc. or the movie descritpions in the info screen. no, there is nothing to chose from, the field is greyed out as there are no options. I don't believe that feature has made it to the repo yet.(2015-03-12, 00:23)mark2112 Wrote:(2015-03-12, 00:03)a_user Wrote: hi, would you mind making the fonts a litle bit larger, especially the time and date/weather text in the main menu, the description about what is currently rnning in video/pvr info etc. or the movie descritpions in the info screen. RE: Arctic: Zephyr - Edworld - 2015-03-12 Jurialmunkey: How often do you update the repo? There are also rules regarding not sending too many updates to official repo to avoid excessive strains on servers and constant downloads on the user end. I send a PR about every 1-2 weeks after testing changes as per addon rules: http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on_rules#Updates Basically, I'm just waiting for the first round of transifex updates to hit the translations github and then I will pull those in and send a PR. That way the next update will have support for other languages rather than having to wait another 2-3 weeks for them. RE: Arctic: Zephyr - wripet - 2015-03-12 Will this skin support media flags? RE: Arctic: Zephyr - bakito - 2015-03-12 hello and thanks again for what is now my official skin! I know you intend to support advanced launcher ( which is great!) but if I may have one request it's to use the "personna" skin from eddage trick: somehow he manage to make an widget with advance launcher which make diaporama of our fan art on menu ( like a widget) and we could start a game just by clicking on the image...Sorry if I'm not really clear, but it was a great feature of his skin: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=199851 Don't bother if it is not one of your wishes for your skin or if it's too many work... again thanks a lot for your work. cheers. RE: Arctic: Zephyr - cyrils - 2015-03-12 Hi, is there any way to get a small window with the currently playing TV channel in the EPG Timeline view like on the arctic mkii skin? There looks to be enough space under the timeline. RE: Arctic: Zephyr - dukester - 2015-03-12 gotta say i love this skin, it was easy to setup and the home menu customization is super nice. I have been daily driving this one on 3 different setups though out my house for a couple weeks now and its great.. one thing i think needs to be adjusted is when the keyboard is called it has a black background, which is nice but it covers any captchas that might need to be seen to enter them correctly when playing certain online streams, an option to have a transparent background or no background with keyboard would be nice to see added. RE: Arctic: Zephyr - cruten87 - 2015-03-13 Hi Jurial Thanks again for all of your hard work on this skin. It is definitely the best skin out there in my opinion. I have however stumbled across a slight problem in the last few days with the music video section. I currently have my concerts linked with the music video section which works great with your skin and the poster view. However, I've noticed that whenever I play a concert and try to skip a chapter the the skip button takes me to the next concert rather than the next chapter in the concert. Apologies if this is something ovbious but I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to get round this as it seems to have just started to behave like this in the last few days? Thanks Natalie RE: Arctic: Zephyr - jurialmunkey - 2015-03-13 (2015-03-12, 17:45)wripet Wrote: Will this skin support media flags? It shows text based media flags in the bottom left. If you mean image based ones, then no it wont. (2015-03-12, 18:15)bakito Wrote: hello and thanks again for what is now my official skin! I've still got to set up Adv Launcher so I'm not sure if it would need tweaks or not. I'm a little bit wary of committing myself to Adv Launcher as yet as I just recently learnt that the developer is stopping support for the add-on so I want to wait and see if someone is going to pick it up and bring it across for Isengard - I don't want to commit too much work to it if its going to disappear in the next kodi release. It is definitely the best skin out there in my opinion. Is it the skip button on your remote or the skip button on the osd controls? OSD controls have always skipped next/previous item - thats how it is in pretty much every skin. If its your remote, then its something to do with your keymap. By default skip next/previous buttons generally go to the next item in the playlist. Usually its up/down that are mapped to next/prev chapter (or bigstep if no chapters available). There is a keymap editor addon that can help remap keys if you need to. RE: Arctic: Zephyr - Edworld - 2015-03-13 Jurialmunkey: What remote control do you recommend? RE: Arctic: Zephyr - SheHateMe - 2015-03-13 I use a Logitech Harmony One and a Flirc with this skin and it works beautifully. RE: Arctic: Zephyr - jurialmunkey - 2015-03-13 I just use one of the HP MCE remote/usb-receiver IR combos: Cheap (under $20 AUD on ebay), effective, easy to setup (works out of the box on openelec) and long battery life. I used to have a Harmony 650, but the batteries ran out about every 6 weeks (Compared with the fact that I only just replaced the cheap batteries in my HP remote after about 12 months and I have a feeling they might have not been new when I put them in...). So if you're going the universal route I suggest getting one with some sort of charging dock/cradle - or at least the 700 which has rechargeable batteries that can be charged with an AC usb cable. |
