I can't see IMDB rating, oscars and other ratings like showed in the picture. I only see Rotten Tomatoes and TMDB. What plugin I must install/configure for this?

Put an OMDb key into TMDbHelper's settings.

Hello @jurialmunkey  I'm on my Nvidia Shield trying to solve this annoying stutter I'm getting on all screens where TMDBH widgets are present, be it main menu or submenus, info screens.
Uploaded a slow-motion video to google photos, slo-mo starts at 00:15.

I don't think it's related to graphics capabilities since it's just "images", the shield is more than capable and also the stutter is not consistent.
I suspect stuttering is more related to TMDBH widgets fetching info?

Estuary and estuarymod are absolutly fluent.

Anyone else seeing something similar on their devices?

I do not see any stutter?

I have the latest shield TV and no issues at all with performances.

I do see some stutter on one of my devices when scrolling up and down the home screen, but it only seems to affect some widgets & not all. I don't think it's specifically TMDB as I have other widgets such as basic addons widgets which do it, however some others such as settings are perfectly fine. So there's definitely something a bit odd going on somewhere, as you say all other skins don't show the same issue it's just AH, perhaps something to do with the way the transitions are implemented, but I don't know.

Try turning off online info in the info dialog.
Skin Settings > Miscellaneous > Customise info dialog lists > Use online information (disable)

There is an issue in Kodi where if plugins are used inside the info dialog, it can cause slow downs on some systems. It's not related to the actual plugin because the plugin is only active whilst the content is loading. It's something to do with how kodi handles the content after it loads.

I've noticed that it affects performance regardless of whether the info dialog is active or not.

Is it possible when turning off online information to show local library content instead such as recommendations and from director, studio etc?

The background "waves" is disabled, however shows only up when selecting a movie from recommendations in info dialog..

I've also noticed it still shows up in the "Discover" preview window from TMDbHelper.

Hi JM,

I have a big issue with TMDb helper.. please see video attached.

When trying to play a movie through TMDb trending today.. nothing is playing on Kodi, however when minimalizing Kodi on Shield TV the Shield TV is giving a pop up the movie is playing. After trying to open this, nothing is happening in kodi. Not sure how to fix this.

When opening a movie through the recommendations in info dialog (I believe this is also TMDb helper?) And hitting play the movie starts to play and no issue at all.

Playing series with TMDb helper no issues at all.

Would you consider having an option to use fade animations, similar to Estuary, or would this be a pain to implement? It might be a good option for low end devices or anyone seeing issues with the current transitions.

Yeah that helps but detracts from a lot of useful info.

It won't help with overall stutters tho.

On a related note, I was just playing around with Arctic Zephyr on my Shield TV and noticed it is much smoother than it used to be, even with 5 to 6 TMDBH widgets on main menus. After some looking around I realized I hadn't installed marcelv's repo. After installing it, skin helper addons got updated and stuttering came back. I was able to pinpoint the cause of my stuttering to the skin helper widget addon,   1.0.22 from kodi repo is almost stutter free,  1.0.53 from marcel's is stutter mode.
So I disabled auto-update and kept 1.0.22. Pretty smooth so far.

Maybe this can give you a lead as to what's going on with AH?

Since Arctic Horizon doesn't use Skin Helper at all, probably not much to go on there Big Grin

It does already show local content when online is disabled, at least for these lists:
Cast
Films in Set
By Director
From Studio
Cast Members Feature In
Gallery (fanart)

Recommendations/Similar are not possible as it requires a plugin script of some kind to determine what is "recommended/similar" and provide it as a list.
Posters is pointless since there will only be one.
Crew not possible because it requires online lookup or at least a plugin script to compile info into a list.
Genre not possible because can't split the genres without a script.
Year might be possible.

Is this with PKC or EmbyCon? It's an issue with those plugins not TMDbHelper.
