- Roborob - 2009-02-28 Can someone tell me why MIP doesn't import my Music DVD's I added in themoviedb for example I added Tiesto's Elements of life DVD like this http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/12963 but if I scan my folder nothing happens. My folder is like this root\Tiesto\Elements of life , does it need a IMDB number or what is wrong ?. It would be great if it will work, If you need to make nfo for music scraping, you can also add the movie to tmdb instead, and use MIP to import, then lots of people can use it. - digitalhigh - 2009-02-28 Roborob Wrote:Can someone tell me why MIP doesn't import my Music DVD's I added in themoviedb for example I added Tiesto's Elements of life DVD like this http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/12963 but if I scan my folder nothing happens. Maybe you need to set the content as "Music Video" in XBMC? - Roborob - 2009-02-28 digitalhigh Wrote:Maybe you need to set the content as "Music Video" in XBMC? Then it dawned on me... Just go to TMDB and make the entry for the DVD. As long as you've entered the IMDB ID for that movie, you should be all good. Just try and fill out as much information as you can...this ensures that anybody else who scrapes it in the future will get good info as well. movie (2009).iso to movie (2009).nfo - j2mediabox - 2009-03-01 Hi, sorry if i missed how to fix this or if there is a fix noted somewhere. I have a rather large movie library and went through the trouble to look each movie up on imdb and name my move file with the date... i.e. Bambi (1996).ISO. I have all movies in a single directory. When i use MIP to look them up the nfo and tbn files created are missing the date part. i get: Bambi (1996).ISO Bambi .tbn Bambi .nfo Is there some way to set MIP to create the nfo files with the exact same name as my main movie file? All that i have read is that XBMC looks for the same name file. thanks! Scraping fanart from TMDB - JohnWPB - 2009-03-01 I just added fanart for "Down Periscope" on TMDB. When I run MIP, it does not download the fanart. I have had this happen in the past as well. Sometimes I upload the fanart, and MIP see's it immediately after it is uploaded, and other times it will never find it. I have been uploading fanart there, instead of just adding it locally, which is easier, but also wanted to add to the DB so it would be there for others to use. What I find myself doing now, is running MIP, it finds no fanart, check TMDB, if none is there, create and upload it, try MIP again, nothing... add the file from local manually. In this case, I verified that the title in MIP is "Down Periscope" and on TMDB is also the same exact title. I have no idea if this is one, a MIP problem, two, a TMDB API issue, or three, TMDB not correctly adding the movie to the DB so it can be retreived with the API, which seems unlikely, as they are showing up on the site correctly with a movie search. I figured I would start with a post here, and see if it can be figured out. There have been many times that fanart is avail on TMDB, and for some reason MIP does not find it. - digitalhigh - 2009-03-01 JohnWPB Wrote:I just added fanart for "Down Periscope" on TMDB. I see you've got the IMDB ID for Down Periscope entered (nice job on filling out the info, BTW), but did you enter it for all the other movies you try to scrape? I know that there *used* to be a problem with MIP not finding the art if no IMDB ID was present... - bobrap - 2009-03-01 I have got to be missing something.:confused2: Why does it take forever to get this program to load tv series? Movies load fine. TV takes 30 minutes or longer. What am I doing wrong? TV takes 30 minutes or longer. What am I doing wrong? HelpThe new version will be faster, it's prob downing the images one by one and thus taking forever to do so, this is changed in the next release and should be much better for loading them. one thing to check, open the config.xml in the MIP install directory and make sure that the debug mode for tv shows is not on, that will slow it wayyyyy down. Quote:I have all movies in a single directory. When i use MIP to look them up the nfo and tbn files created are missing the date part.It should be using the full name of the file, less anything used for stacking, i'll double check with that example and make sure it's working correctly. Quote:I just added fanart for "Down Periscope" on TMDB.for tmdb data, the tmdb data will be grabbed when tmdb updates it's index, which should be pretty fast. It does have to have the imdbid number. Can you shoot me the id for the show so i can test it. I think what I need to do is add to MIP to be able to lookup by tmdb id number (which is actually what is done in the back end after it's matched by imdbid).. I'll have to think about how to incorporate that into MIP.. more then likely a simple change to the scanner and adding the tmdbid to the movie is all that is needed to pull that off.. Please do add a feature request for this on sourceforge so i don't forget about it. - JohnWPB - 2009-03-02 digitalhigh Wrote:Doubtful that it's a problem on the TMDB side. I know that there *used* to be a problem with MIP not finding the art if no IMDB ID was present... I didn't create the "Down Periscope" movie, it was in there already, I just added the fanart in this case and verified that the IMDB number was there. As for the other movies I created, I have entered the IMDB# in for EVERY one of them, as I figured that was how MIP was verifying the movie, and not just on title alone. I have also made sure that the IMDB number for others that MIP was not finding was correctly entered as well. Tip: For a quick and easy way to get the IMDB number, just do a Google search for the Title of the movie, and the word "movie". IE: "Down Periscope MOVIE". It comes up as the very first link 99% of the time, and you can double click the tt##### to highlite it, copy and paste it from the URL below the google results (Just static text, not a link). The keeps you from having to go to IMDB, search, close the pop-up / pop over, and copy it from there ![]() - dbone1026 - 2009-03-02 I added fanart for a few movies that were already on TMDB as well as created new movies/fanart. MIP picked up the fanart for the already created movies right away but did not pick up the fanart for the new movies I created on TMDB. I tested on another movie scraper and the new movies got pulled in right away, so don't know if there is a delay with MIP? - JohnWPB - 2009-03-02 Glad to hear that, not for MIP, but that it is confirmed, and not just an issue I am having here ![]() - digitalhigh - 2009-03-02 Okay fekker, first suggestion for the media info... One...disable the media images tab if no media images are found? This can save me a little time, as I'll be adding everything manually. Two...maybe allow for a way to turn media images on/off? Or have it so I can only work on the media images? Some way so that I can do regular movies one way, and then focus on the media images without having to wait for it to find posters and everything else... Three...it seems to be hanging when I try to download an insert or inlay image...I get this error: Code: Error during thumbnail generation for Media Image.System.OutOfMemoryException: Out of memory. Edit: Also looks like for some TV shows, it's not sorting the images by season properly. For the show Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Season 1 displays covers/cd's for all seasons, and the rest of the seasons have no images. One suggestion I have is that you make a right-click menu that displays an option as to what filename to save an image under. I've seen several movies now where there are two front images but one is actually the inlay. It would be sweet to just rightclick and then pick inlay from a dropdown menu and bam...there it is. ![]() - natethomas - 2009-03-02 I've got a question that may have been answered before, but are there currently any plans to support DVD Order, or is DVD Order already supported? For the most part, this isn't a huge issue. I currently have two shows, Futurama and Andy Richter Controls the Universe, where the DVD Order is drastically different than the aired order. I'd love to be able to play with these shows in MIP, but if I can't use DVD Order then I'm not sure whether I could do anything with them. - digitalhigh - 2009-03-02 natethomas Wrote:I've got a question that may have been answered before, but are there currently any plans to support DVD Order, or is DVD Order already supported? I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but http://www.therenamer.com has a program you can use which supports smart renaming for shows, of which you *should* be able to go from DVD order to Aired order... Of course, that is if MIP doesn't support DVD order. |
