M3u's are the main component for each channel.

A collection of sources in m3u format could be dissected for its links then added to ptvl.

I meant as a channel type, wasn't sure if it would try to open each stream in order if the previous one failed.

this does not work i think that is what you are asking.
i was confused cause you kept saying add a strm file to chan type 8 im asuming you ment add strm links to the settings2? not a actual strm file?
if you take a actual strm file and add 2 links to it then put in directory that does work tho
my question was basicly can we add a xmltv channel id to a directory channell so when the directory channel plays it pulls the info from that id.
