Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes (Dormer) for Kodi 16 Jarvis End of Life Notification
Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes (Dormer - 3.x) for Kodi 16 Jarvis has officially reached End of Life. No further updates will be released for the Dormer line to enhance the experience or fix any outstanding bugs. The Dormer line has reached its End of Life on November 15, 2016; approximately a year after it was first released on the Emby forums. For continued support, please update to Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes Danvers (4.x/5.x) for Kodi 17 Krypton. If you are using a distribution that doesn't support Krypton yet, you are welcome to stay on Jarvis and continue using AZ:FA as you normally would but there will be no further support provided.
Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes Danvers (Preview Beta 5) Critical Bug Notice for macOS
A critical installation bug has been identified with Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes Danvers (Preview Beta 5) on macOS resulting from a third party dependency - studio icons in white. Currently there is no workaround for this issue as it seems it's the third-party addon that is causing the issue and not AZ:FA. We will try to get this sorted for Beta 6 but first we must contact the developers of the third party addon that fails to install.

got repo. norhbridge .by design added that via zip , no problem , tried to install danvers preview skin and it got as far as 20% before a couple of dependancy failures stopped it. ( think there are a couple of other posters who got this far as well )
this is a lot further than i have got, so i will keep logging on here to see what is happening.
@ontap, I am having the same issue testing on Mac. Are you saying you downgraded to beta 1 and you got it working or are you on a different beta level?
I assume am not allowed to post link to the krypton17 beta1, file on here ?

Same here - updated to script.shortcuts-1.0.12.zip and Danver now loads fine

First issue, which I think I've seen mentioned but wanted to check, was the watched/unwatched icons displaying as pink rectangles:
Second issue, not sure if it's as designed or a display problem, the home screen menu text is hard against the top of the menu background:

If you look back several pages, Guardian mentions it's in the list of fixes (it's a font transition issue).Pete

Did a completely fresh install of 3.4.30 in Kodi on FireTV and it still won't let me turn off the Dormer notice. I can see the notice in the extras menu and I can't select it. The cursor just skips over it. And it's not greyed out.

Since Dormer is working properly now sans the reports of being unable to turn off the Dormer Notice which it seems most people don't care about the one extra button press at startup now that everything is working we decided to drop the issue and let it be.

It did. Danvers Preview Beta 5 was released a couple of days ago but hasn't been updated on anything but the NBD repo and GitHub. No release notes because they are going to be combined with Danvers Preview Beta 6 which will fix the missing icons that were a result of the font transition and update the Addon Framework.
I think @minus0 was including some fixes as well but I was at a courthouse most of yesterday so I may have misread that line on Slack so don't quote me on that.

And Dormer will apparently get one more hotfix, 3.4.50 (yeah, I just realized I skipped over 3.4.40). Besides, I need to add how to turn off the notice to the notice.
After that, no more Dormer updates. It'll be released the same day as Beta 6 of Danvers for Krypton (both will be released before Thanksgiving in the United States).
Please remember that with the holidays, update frequencies will decrease so Beta 6 of Danvers and 3.4.50 of Dormer will likely be it for the year.
Soon, everyone will have access to JIRA so we can better track issues and the team can discuss them which will happen in the intermediary between Beta 6 and Beta 7.
Since there will be a long time like between Alpha 9 and Beta 5, we really want everyone to dig into it and find the issues once those are released. Hopefully we can lock down a Release Candidate so I can personally begin focusing on For Another Age's new User Experience (remember that AZ:For Another Age will also have a quick switch back to the current home screen style but I think people will like it since it's a more modern take on AZ:FA's current design and really intended for 4K).
