nothing has changed my end at all sorry
Sounds like its a buffering issue - try reduce the quality

this addon used by quite a few and not seeing any other reports of your issue at the main thread below

Thanks Matt, I’ve reduced the quality but the playback problems are still there. It’s just the VOD stuff, live playback is fine. I have an Odroid N2+ with coreelec 19.3 but the problem was also with 19.2. I’ll have a look thru that thread and play with some settings. Cheers

Hello again Matt, My potential buffering issue only seems to happen with streams where the highest option below the best setting is 6.82mbit/s per sec 1920x1080, which is all the mini matches, but the complete matches where the highest bitrate is 8.68mbits 1920x1080 50 FPS H.264 all seem to play fine with no issues. Weird

you could try go addons > services > slyguy common > configure > playback
then disable Use Inputstream for VOD streams
See if that helps

I’m sure that’s one of the things I did yesterday but I did it again just now and magically all the VOD content that was not playing correctly yesterday is now playing fine. Thanks a lot Matt, you did something on your end right? Did your magic tech dance? Sprinkled some of your magic Kodi dust? Smile

hmm, inputstream should work good...
Oh, unless the content has 5.1 audio on it maybe?
what is your device and kodi information?

Also, that setting used to be a per-addon setting.
But last week i moved to a overall common setting (with default on)
That is why it would have just started happening.

I have an Odroid N2+ running the latest Coreelec 19.3. I just confirmed with inputstream off for VOD the matches play perfectly but with it on they speed up and slow down

I'm thinking about moving into town where I can get NBN, where my choices for watching the motor cycle racing would be strictly limited to Kayo or Foxtel Now.

I have a couple of questions regarding Kodi and the Kayo plug-in:

  - can I schedule the recording of programmes received via Kayo?
  - if so, is this an isolated function specific to, and managed by Kodi, requiring local storage; or can it somehow be integrated with a back-end like a MythTV server?

Kayo / Kodi doesn't do any recording. Look into the IPTV recorder addon. That's not mine so can't help with it. But if you use the IPTV merge to get kayo into kodis pvr / epg, IPTV recorder should then be able to record stuff.

But honestly, kayo has nearly all it's content on demand straight after playing live. I don't see the need for recording

There's a complexity to Kodi addons that is a bit daunting for the uninitiated...

I have found the IPTV Recorder. 

It seems that the installation order is SLYGUY, KAYO SPORTS, IPTV MERGE.  Is that correct?

I take your point about content being available "on demand" after live play.

Yes,
Slyguy = Repo
Kayo = The addon
IPTV Merge = Takes Kayo and makes it into a Playlist & EPG
IPTV Simple Client = Takes Playlist & EPG and makes it available via Kodis PVR interface (TV / Guide)

IPTV Recorder = I think this integrates with IPTV Simple Client to pass the streams to a ffmpeg binary to record them.
it will only work for non-encrypted streams. luckily kayo isnt encrypted

It just won’t work on any of my my Kodi networks keeps coming up with failed to fetch json data make sure up address is not geo blocked?

Do you know how to get it back working again mate?

Make sure you have latest version of kayo 0.13.9

If you still get that error you arent in Australia
