Options for backend artwork and Skin Helper Artwork have to be enabled in skin settings.
These settings can be found by going to: Settings>>>>Interface>>>>Configure Skin>>>>PVR Artwork Settings.
I also noticed on your screen shot that the 'Top programme' (Now) there are no ratings showing either. This makes me think either the Skin Helper is not installed, or the programme has not been scraped by the Skin Helper Script. You can force a manual scrape by clicking 'C' on the programme item to bring up the context menu, then clicking on 'Artwork options', then selecting 'Refresh (manual lookup).
Have just checked my version and everything is working as expected for both Backend and Skin Helper Artwork.
Do you see any artwork showing on the 'Big List View' for the current TV programme?
EDIT: I found a wee bug for the 'Big List' TV Channels View that was using the wrong variable for the skin helper artwork. I've just pushed an update to the GitHub to fix this error. The Now-Next view was already fine and is working without any issues for me.

Yes I am using skin helper service latest version 1.1.43 and have also set the right options in the sideblade menu.
The Now-Next-View is the ONLY pvr view where i see any artwork and that only for the Next element - even when now & next programme is the same.
When i do a manual artwork refresh it does find the right tvshow but afterwards it will only load the poster for the next element.
Also If i play a local scraped media from my library starting it from the "In Progress movies" widget it also doesnt show a poster artwork and the movie title on the top of the screen reverts back to its original filename, just like you would start the file from kodi file manager.
Just downloaded your last update to see if it perhaps changed something for me

But something weird happens here. if you take a closer look the poster for the now element is "english" artwork and the poster for next element is "german" artwork (which is my local language so thats ok). But why the 2 posters with different language?
If i go to another channel now it doesnt have 2 poster, only showing one for next element. Somehow not consistent.
Anyways, just wanna say thank you already for taking your time looking into it.

The Skin Helper Script was never generally designed to fetch the 'Next-Up' artwork element, like it does for the 'Now' element. However, support was added a few months ago by a forum member here who helps out maintaining the SHS to fetch the 'Next-Up' artwork element by using Google images. I'm pretty sure just by looking at your screen shots, that you might have the option 'Allow Google Images' enabled on the Skin Helper's advanced settings screen? If this is the case, that's why you are seeing a discrepancy between the 'Now' and 'Next-Up' artwork.
I personally don't have this option enabled in the Skin Helper settings anymore, as I discovered (like you) that Google's image was often not the same as 'Now' element fetched by the regular Skin Helper scrape. I also noticed that sometimes Google images would fetch a fanart image and then stretch it into poster format. This was my main inspiration for having the 'Use Local Artwork' option, since there is no easy way to fetch 'Next-Up' artwork currently and I wanted a solution to show this artwork accurately (and the same as the 'Now' element)
As for the 'Now' image not appearing when you changed channel, I must admit that the SHS can be a bit temperamental at how fast it fetches the artwork in the first instance. My own observations seem to indicate that certain times of the day are slower at fetching the artwork. This is also very dependant on how many TV Channels you have on your set-up. For instance, I have 78 channels in total, but if you are using IPTV with 5000+ channels it will obviously take much longer to fetch artwork images. But once the image is fetched and is in the 'Simple cache', images will generally appear almost immediately in Kodi.
For the 'Now' artwork element using the Skin Helper Script, I will often do a manual look-up for missing artwork in the evening's after 9pm when artwork images are returned much faster than trying during the day. Like I said above, once the artwork is fetched and is logged in the 'simple cache' it will generally appear almost immediately in the future.
I hope this gives you a better insight into why you are probably seeing different artwork images and also some tips on how to speed up getting artwork images showing for the 'Now' element.

For me personally, I've always found the date and weather info on the home screen for each main menu item a little intrusive, which is I why I decided to remove them. However, if you wish to add these back into the skin yourself (like the default version), all you to do is add the following line items directly above the very last group control item (line 1215) mentioned on the home.xml file:-

Then just restart Kodi after you've added the line items.
The date label is not actually included on the default version of Estuary and is something I added to my own skin mod. It is only displayed during video and audio playback. The line items for this date label are located on the 'Custom_1109_TopBarOverlay.xml' file (lines 262-273). If you wanted to include the date label on the home screen as well, you could copy/paste this label into the 'TopBar' includes item which is located on the 'includes.xml' file.
However, space looks a bit sparse in the top right hand corner of the home screen, so it might be quite a tight squeeze adding another line item for the date label.
I will maybe add a skin option to enable/disable the Time and Weather on the home screen at some point, as I accept some users will maybe want to continue seeing this info there.

As for the auto-hide OSD option, I did some work on that a while ago, but could not perfect the feature.
Individually, an idle OSD would auto hide for the time selected, but this would also cause other problems with the 'seek bar' at the top of the screen and also if the pause button was selected on the 'controls OSD'. I could never get all three to work in harmony with each other, as I recall.
I know in Nexus this option has recently been added to the default Estuary skin, which also required some changes being made to Kodi's core code. This is perhaps why I was having trouble getting things to work as I had initially envisaged.
I'll have another poke around over the weekend and see if I have any further luck, otherwise it may just have to be shelved for Matrix and wait until I get the time to port the skin over to Nexus.

You could try the original version that doesn't require any core changes https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/20267
It was reverted as it caused dialogs in some skins that are opened from the OSD to be also closed. But maybe worth a try in case your mod would be unaffected.

Hi Mate,
Just use the autoclose Window (Custom_1110_CloseVideoOSD.xml) as we used this in Estuary Mod V2 and Arctic Zephyr Reloaded (beatmasterrs). You have full control when OSD should be closed and when it doesn't close. Also there are some discussion on the german kodinerds forum: https://www.kodinerds.net/index.php/Thread/73707-SeekBar-automatisch-ausblenden/?postID=660068#post660068. Use a translator like deepl.com for translating.
