atv2 - ruuk - 2011-09-22 Just to let anyone know, unless someone with an atv2 wants to work on getting it to work, it's not going to. I don't own one, so I can't really do anything there. - Cthugha - 2011-10-30 Does this work with Eden nightlies? Getting "dependencies not met" error when installing (tried both Photos plugin 0.9.8 and Media script 0.5.3...) - ruuk - 2011-11-14 Cthugha Wrote:Does this work with Eden nightlies? Unfortunately I'm not running Eden nightlies, so I don't know. I presume your log file will tell what dependencies are causing the problems. If you want to post that here, I'll see what I can do - nymac - 2011-12-04 as of today Dec 4 2011, this plugin did not work from Mac OS X and I'm assuming also from ATV. Workaround was, from my laptop, I searched for Photos-XBMC app on Facebook, and added that app (allowed app). Then next time I, stared the plugin, it opened up browser and was successful. Facebook app is located here: https://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=150505371652086 - KidVulcan - 2012-01-07 Hi, how do I enter my fb login info? Also, when I start the program it shows a picture of an old camera and then freezes?? - ruuk - 2012-01-07 KidVulcan Wrote:Hi, how do I enter my fb login info? Also, when I start the program it shows a picture of an old camera and then freezes?? Well, I just tried installing it fresh on Eden (I just got a new computer so I hadn't installed it yet) and as far as login goes, it worked fine for me. It should ask you for your login email and password before it starts the first time. Is that not what happened for you? In any case, while it still seems to work with eden, a bunch of interface elements seem to be missing and such so I guess I'm going to need to fix those and update it for eden. Facebook-Media Version 0.5.4 for Eden - ruuk - 2012-01-20 Quite a few changes, so please test it out so I can fix any bugs before I submit it to the repository. (Please tell me how it works for you, even if you don't find any bugs.) This will mark me officially abandoning the old plugin version. I will probably start a new Facebook-Media thread when I submit this to Eden. Download here: http://facebook-media.googlecode.com/files/script.facebook.media-0.5.4.zip List of changes: Updated for eden
Re-worked/simplified the skin Localized the strings - anyone want to do some translating Fixed a bug where empty tag list wouldn't fade out Added fanart.jpg Fixed bug where top heirarchy list would lose last item after viewing media Fixed non-working input blocking during "progress bar" type activities Cleaned up error handling of errors and failed auth in user authorization Fixed broken behavior where going off the end of a list without a next/prev arrow would wrap to the opposite side of the list and follow that arrow. Now just stops. - MrEd - 2012-01-24 Installed the plugin last night and it seems to work well. I am new to XBMC so haven't used the plugin on other versions prior to Eden. One thing I did note is that I was unable to view photos from one of my friends. When I tried any of the options under their account it came up access denied or not authorised. Once I had selected a photo to view I noticed I was unable to return to the album using the "Prev" button on my remote which maps to the backspace key. The addon expected me to use the Esc key instead which is not inline with the rest of XBMC. Is this something that can be changed? I noticed that the Rom Collection Browser has similar behaviour and the dev has agreed to change it. I think this is an important step in overall user experience and makes things flow better between the addons and the main program. I am running it on Eden Beta 2 and was using a second Facebook account. - ruuk - 2012-01-24 MrEd Wrote:One thing I did note is that I was unable to view photos from one of my friends. Even if you have access to something on facebook, the app may not be able to access it. The code is there but for some reason doesn't work and I need to figure out why. Version 0.5.5 for Eden - testing continued - ruuk - 2012-01-24 Backspace key now goes to previous menu level as expected. I would still like some more testing feedback before submitting it for Eden. Thanks to MrEd for being the first to respond Get version 0.5.5 here: http://facebook-media.googlecode.com/files/script.facebook.media-0.5.5.zip - macf1an - 2012-01-24 you sould look into breaking the endless loop "enter user"/"enter password" occuring if the first login is not succesful - koro - 2012-01-24 I installed 0.5.5 but i can't go back to xbmc with the back button on my remote. I have to shutdown the computer complete. Windows 7. Eden Beta 2 greetings , Koen - kobyboy - 2012-01-24 Wow very nice GUI and runs well. What about a possible script for showing status and post from friends and such? thanks K - ruuk - 2012-01-24 macf1an Wrote:you sould look into breaking the endless loop "enter user"/"enter password" occuring if the first login is not succesful What, so you think infinite loops in programming is a bad thing? Technically the problem is in WebViewer but, anyway, I'll fix it soon. - ruuk - 2012-01-24 koro Wrote:I installed 0.5.5 but i can't go back to xbmc with the back button on my remote. I'll fix it. Sheesh, everyones so picky. "Get rid of that endless loop." "Let me close the app without shutting down my computer." Next it'll be "Make it stop formatting my hard drive every time it starts" Seriously though, thanks for the testing and feedback. |
