RE: Arctic Fuse - olevelo - 2024-01-09 (2024-01-09, 14:49)derpferd Wrote:Thanks. The issue was that those other art options weren't showing up (for instance, I could change the poster to use banner artwork, but there was no separate banner block for me to select a banner). Turned out there's a setting in each library "Fetcher settings" that you have to go in and enable them. When I installed the Fanart plugin, it seems to have autoenabled the thumbnails, but not the other stuff. After enabling them and doing a metadata refresh, it's all good now.(2024-01-09, 02:38)olevelo Wrote:(2024-01-08, 11:09)derpferd Wrote:Thanks! I tried that, but on the web interface, all I see are Primary, Background and Logo, and if I click the + it wants to upload rather than search. On my phone, I see a drop down for the other categories including thumb, but every movie/show shows blank (for every type except the 3 it already has). I feel like there's probably a setting somewhere that I need to enable but not sure where it is. RE: Arctic Fuse - LtFrankDrebin - 2024-01-09 @jurialmunkey Hi jurial! Thanks a bunch for another wonderful looking skin! Your work is much appreciated. I have a question regarding widgets. I'm trying to set up a 'Decades' category for movies, where I want to show each decade in the sub-categories menu and as I hover over these sub-menu items I want the contents of them to be shown in the widgets row. Basically like this: Category name: Decades Sub-categories: the actual decades (90s, 80s etc.) in the 'Decades' folder above. Widgets: showing the contents of each sub-category as I hover over them. Please let me know if there's a better way to do this on this skin. I've looked into the stacked widgets in the experimental tab, but I've no idea how to set them up. I'd also love to be able to do this with genres too as I think it's the perfect approach for it. Would this be possible to accomplish with this skin? Another quick question if you don't mind. Is there a setting somewhere to make it so that I don't have to actually click the side-menu items to switch between them? I'd prefer it if the skin just switches between them as I hover over. I'm using the categories layout, btw. Thanks in advance. RE: Arctic Fuse - gonzolak - 2024-01-09 Hi! I love your skin!. Can you help me with one thing ? I tried everything and can't add menu shortcut for game plugin - Moonlight. There is no game shourtcut avaliable in customise widgets section. Only for video addons, images and music. I tried to manually add plugin://plugin.program.moonlight-qt-0.4.2 but it doesnt work. Ive tired also using "library://games/" but that doesnt work either. When I browse my addons and then go to games and games providers I can see moonlight addon and I can open it from there but its like 20 clicks away ![]() RE: Arctic Fuse - C.O.D. - 2024-01-09 @jurialmunkey I just had another idea: how about offering the playing now info as a spotlight item? The necessary information is usually available and in the case of a video, if the option is activated, it would also play in the background. The more I think about it, the more I like this idea... Yes, this is simple to do. Click a submenu item, choose "Options" and then enable the "Use as widget" option to have the submenu also display a widget which shows the contents of the submenu item. For decades, it's as simple as making a smart playlist per decade (e.g. a 1980s playlist has rules "year > 1979" and "year < 1990") and then adding the smart playlists as submenu items. For genres, it's even simpler. Go to submenu options and choose "submenu list" then select the genres folder. The submenu will be dynamically filled with the genres. You will end up in an endless recursive loop of windows opening because each hub is a separate window with its own focus state. A simple example. 1. On home screen you focus movies hub and movies hub opens. 2. On movies hub you focus home and home screen opens again. Do you see the issue yet? Both windows now have a focus state which will immediately open the other one and you are stuck in a loop. RE: Arctic Fuse - jurialmunkey - 2024-01-10 (2024-01-09, 22:52)C.O.D. Wrote: @jurialmunkey I've actually tried this before because I had the same thought but it turned out really weird and confusing in action -- particularly for music (why is there an artist info suddenly in the movies spotlight?). It's not as bad for video when background video is enabled but it still felt a bit off. RE: Arctic Fuse - jurialmunkey - 2024-01-10 (2024-01-09, 20:14)gonzolak Wrote: Hi! I love your skin!. That will allow you to add the folder directly to the menu. RE: Arctic Fuse - mklod - 2024-01-10 What is the proper way to close the media item that is playing? When I press backspace to go back to the main menu and browse, it leaves the currently playing item playing in the background. Can this be disabled? Can this be disabled? nothing to do with the skin, it's normal kodi behavior use X to stop, for all commands see https://kodi.wiki/view/Keyboard_controls you can change it with keymap editor in the kodi repo https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Keymap_Editor RE: Arctic Fuse - Carfer - 2024-01-10 There is one thing that either I don't see or it isn't in the player. In previous skins, when opening the player, in addition to the subtitle, language, etc. buttons, there was a settings button where the video and audio settings were located, in which you could increase the sound level of Kodi, etc., in Fuse that button does not appear , I see the subtitles, language, information but I don't see the settings. Is it somewhere and I don't see it? Thank you RE: Arctic Fuse - jurialmunkey - 2024-01-10 (2024-01-10, 09:05)Carfer Wrote: There is one thing that either I don't see or it isn't in the player. But with Arctic Fuse I found the strange behaviour when this option is enabled on my Android TV. If we are pressing Back button focus was coming to the arrow icon and if I press Back button it just stays on the arrow and not navigates back. If we are brining the focus back to First Item after the arrow and then pressing back button then navigation happening to last content. Awesome, thanks for the help. I managed to get the widgets set up. There's also another option under 'use as widget' in the sub-menu options called 'allow stacking'. What does this do exactly? I'd also like to request something: The default spotlight that shows up on a page if you have no custom one set up - the one with time/date info, master user, kodi version display - could you please add an option to disable this if it's not too much of a bother? IIRC AH2 had an option for it but I might be wrong. RE: Arctic Fuse - loki00 - 2024-01-10 Delete RE: Arctic Fuse - Chalklands - 2024-01-11 I've created a smart music playlist for last played songs, which I'm using as a widget. If I click on the most recent song in the widget, that song will play and stop when it has finished playing. Is there any way of queuing all of the songs so that they play one after the other? Edit - Don't worry I've found out how to do it. |
