Are you using the artist slideshow add-on / do you have this enabled in skin settings -> add-ons?

I had enabled / forgot to disable the artist slideshow and now it shows the cover/fanart. Whoops.

I had it enabled but my music taste is not very standard. When i disable the artist slideshow it shows the cover/fanart. Whoops.

I think if you upgrade to that beta of Artist Slideshow you will no longer get a black screen. Because if AS doesn't have images available for the artist, reFocus should fall back to the "normal" scraped fanart. But in order to do so it relies on a new property only found in this new beta of AS. I forgot to make mention of this when posting about 1.4.0.

So, in no case is a black screen acceptable Smile

Love your skin, and have been going about editing the menu's ready to copy it over to my HPTC. However when using addons such as 1Channel, the view mode I select (slide) always seems to revert back to tiled whenever I exit and re-enter the menu. I assume this is 1Channel's side?

I believe 1channel is one of the piracy add-ons, you won't find any support for it on the XBMC forum. See forum guidelines.

It was actually the case with all content listing (addon and otherwise) but it seems to be sticking now. Thanks!

My Playing main menu item has been persistent since installing 1.40. It is visible regardless if anything is playing. Is this by design?

I noticed today that the fonts on the main menu looked different, so assumed the skin had updated... went into settings to see if anything had changed and saw what I thought was a 'never going to happen' addition to reFocus, in the horizontal menu. I'd never really considered it as an alternative, but switched it on...

I really like it. It allows the fanart to 'breath' more on a widescreen view. Having a menu cut across there feels more natural than it blocking off the left side of the picture.

That, plus the submenus are very obvious and easy to navigate too.

Noticed one very minor thing tonight...it appears that the background of the sidebar for Weather is slightly darker than the sidebar menu for the other screens.

Also found that the page title is partially visible on the artist/album info pages...

I posted several times in the past about a horizontal menu and that it's a must. It has fans, it suites better the home ... as spoco2 said - it let's the content breathe. You ignored and deleted my posts, that's why I can't hold myself now - I told you so :-) :-) :-) !
Anyway ... now, one last step to perfection - make it look nice. I affirmed it many times, but again - it is not that I don't appreciate your work ... "au contraire" - reFocus is by a mile the best XBMC skin at the time being and I like it a lot. The thing is that both homes vertical and now horizontal somewhat do not fit the rest of the skin design at all (and also does not look nice, but I must admit this is more subjective). I hope you'll accept my criticism, as I it is intended to be a positive one.
