UPDATE #34 - This will update the skin to v1.3.5
Addition- I added two buttons to SKIN SETTINGS ► MAIN MENU named "SHOW CLOCK AND DATE (TOP)" and "SHOW TEMPERATURE AND WEATHER CONDITION (TOP)". These buttons will be visible when using the horizontal menus 3-7. Thanks to melons2 for the request!
Bug fixes- The main menu was failing to display after the addition of the vertical main menu. The horizontal version of MainMenu.xml is now included in the skin. If you are using the vertical menu, you will need to switch to the horizontal menu and switch back to vertical after installing an update. This may also require you to close Kodi and make sure the "mainmenu_style" setting in settings.xml is set to horizontal.
- The top clock and weather info was displaying when using the horizontal menus 3-7. Thanks to wags1 for reporting the bug!
- The video posters were not displaying in View Type-07 when the media case was disabled. Thanks to hardscrabble for reporting the bug!

Is there any way to have separate options for displaying the watched flag for TV and Movies, rather than one setting for both (I use it for TV episodes, so I remember where I left off, but don't like the flag covering a portion of movie posters when scrolling through the list)? Thanks!

@latts9923 Updated to v1.3.5. Still have the problem with no Main Menu Bar after the update. Making the changes per post 1 restored the Main Menu Bar and everything seemed to run normally and I was able to switch between horizontal and vertical menu bar with no problem. Switched the skin to your MQ 8 mod and when I switched back I had no Main Menu Bar again. One thing to note is that I use a profile so the MQ9 Mod settings file is in userdata/profiles/MYPROFILENAME/addon_data/skin.aeonmq9.mod not in userdata/addon_data/skin.aeonmq9.mod.
One other thing is that I had to make a skin settings backup after the update but before I did the skin reset or I lost the Main Menu Bar again.

I have momentarily reverted to 1.3.3

I had the same thing happen. I hit S, selected Skin Settings and Reset the Skin. Then loaded the most recent settings, and Horizontal Menu worked. Vertical = No Nueno

@heslo @RonnieG3 Be careful. I found that if I loaded the skin settings that had been saved prior to the update I had problems. However, if I did a settings backup after the update then did the reset and skin settings restore it worked. Might just be an issue with me though so not sure.

I reproduced your problem and I have a fix. Try this if you would...close Kodi and download this file to the scripts subfolder of the skin, and replace the skin's customReset.xml with this one. Now open Kodi and reset the skin...you should end up with a restored horizontal menu bar.

@latts9923 Thanks for working on this! One question before I test. What starting point should I use for the test? Do you want me to be in a state where I am running the latest version but have no horizontal menu bar? Also note that when I update to the new skin version, when the update completes I have no horizontal menu bar. If at that point I do a skin reset I do get the horizontal menu bar. If I then restore skin settings using a backup I saved prior to the version update I am back to my settings but no horizontal menu bar. Hope that makes sense...

If you have the latest update installed with the two files I just posted you should be good to go on a reset.

As you are working on the vertical menu here is the one I use with your MQ8 mod and am hoping to get on MQ9 :-)
