Hi thanks for taking the time to consider my suggestions. Let me try and make the case for #2: "2. Also would like to be able to "hide" the XBMC Remote from left column, and only have it accessible under the power button menu- For my use case, this remote is used by the family only for music playback, with the ipad being the only library interface, and I don't want them poking around on the Remote because there is no reason to do so." If you are running XBMC "headless" (e.g. only accessing it via ipad remote for music playback), for a whole-home audio scenario, you don't want the kids and wife selecting "remote" and making blind changes to the running XBMC box. Make sense? I mean, if it's only an advanced setting option to hide the 'Remote' menu from the left column, that would be cool, most folks will leave it on but for cases such as mine, would be perfect. Essentially XBMC in this case is being used like a $2k Bryston BDP-1 with MPAD ios remote, but at a much more reasonable price point. I understand that many use XBMC with a display, play back movies etc on the main monitor, but for dedicated music library use only and no display used, there's no need to have the remote menu readily accessible, especially with 3 or 4 ipad mini's set up this way around the house. By doing this you're kind of giving your remote, and XBMC, a whole new dedicated purpose as a central music library system. JMHO .. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - User 112131 - 2013-02-28 hi! hm, I guess this is just an easy one for you... I ve been reading and trying out to figure this out - I think I remember Eden times, when I was able to switch my windowed XBMC to fullscreen by pressing the "arrow" button on the remote app. but - unfortunaltely it won´t work anymore in Frodo..for me. (windows user here) It must have something to do with the settings or was it right in the keyboard.xml file?, ..cant figure this out. so anyone here be so kind and gimme a little help out of that.. many thanks in advance kind regards! RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - kurtlewis - 2013-02-28 Question- is there any sort of "Shuffle" option in the remote- say for example, I fill up a playlist with music from a specific Genre, and want it to play in no specific order through the playlist items. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - mrdos - 2013-03-01 I was just thinking it would be cool if this app allowed me to stream the audio from the pc so I could use my iphone as wireless headphones. That would indeed be awesome. On separate note, the remote is not working for me for movies. It works for tv shows, but it does not display the movie library. Surprisingly, it does display recently added movies, but not the full library. I have more than 3,000 movies, which may be the reason? RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2013-03-04 @BamBamF16, still issues? If yes, try to reset both user & password and test again @kurtlewis, yeah, I understood your point of view. In the near future will be possibile to select which main menu voice enable/disable. Yes, you can shuffle the playlist by tapping the album thumbnail and then here you have the repeat/shuffle buttons (not available in party mode) @regi100, it's a strange issue, no problems here. Which skin are you using? If not the default one, can you try if with the confluence you have the same issue? @mrdos, simple idea, hard to implement. @steve1977, are you on OSX? which XBMC version? The number of movies isn't the issue. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2013-03-04 Do you like this experiment? I tried it again on a blank install of xbmc on confluence skin, renamed the xbmc folder within the userdata folder - same issue.. but - I figured out, what this arrow on the remote really does on my xbmc now: when playing a movie: XBMC switches back to the main horizontal menubar, playing still in the background the movie when playing music: the screen went like this Would be fine if you find time to get me any ideas how to make this remote "arrow" to switch between XBMC in "window" or "fullscreen" mode. Or are the keys in the remote app hardcoded, so they cannot be customized? many thanks! Quote:Would be fine if you find time to get me any ideas how to make this remote "arrow" to switch between XBMC in "window" or "fullscreen" mode.isn't a button customisation issue, there isn't an API call to allow XBMC switching from windowed mode to fullscreen mode. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Tolriq - 2013-03-04 Input.ExecuteAction and ToggleFullScreen RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - User 112131 - 2013-03-04 (2013-03-04, 17:56)Tolriq Wrote: Input.ExecuteAction and ToggleFullScreen Oh! Must this be done in a keyboard.xml? how? thx bro RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Tolriq - 2013-03-04 hum this was more for Joe on JSON side, for keyboard.xml I think this is more like Action(ToggleFullScreen) to bind to a key. RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2013-03-04 Hey guys, if I understand correctly, what regi100 wants is the XBMC application toggle full screen, not the XBMC content toggle full screen (that is done with the button that regi100 has marked in his screenshot) RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Tolriq - 2013-03-04 Yes I understood the same and the commands I linked does just that RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - User 112131 - 2013-03-04 (2013-03-04, 18:18)joethefox Wrote: Hey guys, if I understand correctly, what regi100 wants is the XBMC application toggle full screen, not the XBMC content toggle full screen (that is done with the button that regi100 has marked in his screenshot) sry, my english is not as good - but yes, i want to toggle with that "arrow" button on the remote app my win7 xbmc client from fullscreen to windowed screen and back and so on. and - i think in first release times it was possible..?
