Also ran into these issues in the new build.

1. Auto close OSD is not working anymore, it worked on previous builds.
2. Setting to pause/not pause video when opening info doesn't do anything, it always pauses.

Also not really an issue but how do you open lyrics? I can't get it to work on the Shield TV.

Ah okay. Hopefully specials should now be fixed in v0.9.16-alpha3
https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arctic.zephyr.2/archive/skin.arctic.zephyr.2-v0.9.16-alpha3.zip

1. Auto close works fine for me.
2. Should be fixed on v0.9.16-a3

I can't get it working, not on video or music. I've tried setting to back to 0 seconds and back to 5, tried 1 second, still never goes away, hmm.
Maybe I need to do another clean install, but I haven't updated this install yet.

Probably by design, but almost every view allows you to see the number of items in your collection before moving over to the alphabet. Showcases and poster when you moved down goes straight to alphabet.

No this is a bug. Thanks for pointing that out. Should be fixed now on v0.9.16-alpha2
with the exception of lovefilm all present alphabet and items in collection

Nvm, I figured it out. For some reason skinhelper was not installed.

Can you confirm?

Works perfectly fine now. Thanks so much.

I'm interested to know what content is failing the search.

If you open info from library and then click on one of the "similar" movies, does the info dialog open properly with the new movie?

I'm using the same method to open info from osd as I do for library movies in the info dialog. So I wonder if I might need to use a different match pattern for from the player.

Sorry I forgot to mention it's from the TV Shows menu. If I click from the library it works fine. but doesn't work if I'm watching a tv show if I click info

Info works fine with movies but still pauses if I uncheck pause video when opening info

I hope this is not confusing  Smile

Ah, yes it doesn't work for tvshows/episodes currently. I've disabled it for the time being until I come up with a solution.
Ok, Thanks for the info  Smile

1. Glitch: Please correct the cut-off text in this view

Image

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Can you add an option to hide the logo which is visible over the fanart in this view

3. [Suggestion] Can the name of the movie/tv show below the poster & fanart be removed because it is already there in the list and is focused. In place of the name the genre could be added, or if not, could give the plot some more space to reveal itself, even if not, the poster & fanart can be made larger. This is just a suggestion from my viewpoint.

4. Can you add an option to hide the name of the tv shows in this view and similar views...

Ah yes, I see what you mean! However, if you have clearlogos for your tvshows, they will show overlaid on the fanart in the info section. Also media info 2 should show the poster of the tvshow.

The issue is that adding the tvshow name will then make the name really long and you won't be able to see the episode title anymore!
For the recent episode listing, I would second this request please.  the poster of the tv show is there, yes, but only once that episode is hi-lighted.  Looking down the list quickly it is impossible to see what new shows are in the recent list until they are hi-lighted and the poster is shown.  I would be happy for the recent list, to loose the title in favour of the show name, or have the title show on the right in the description. Ah, just checking, the episode title is already on the right at the top of the show description.  The original AZ had this (both) and it worked. Thanks again for a great skin!

In other skins like Estuary when you are in a PVR view you are able to access the other PVR sections from breadcrumbs.
I mean Channels, TV Guide, Recordings, Timers, Timer Rules, Search

I would like them to be added in PVR here.

The same way AZ adds breadcrumbs in other views.

I'll add these Smile

@jurialmunkey Thank you, you rock.

There are some aspects of Kodi navigation that are really difficult to get around (like scrolling up/down with the mouse between multiple widget lists), but for the most part, I think I've managed to get most aspects working without any issues.

Please let me know if you find anything that seems really broken in terms of touch/mouse. Obviously remote usage is my first priority, but I would like to solve any mouse/touch issues that completely break things (other than the up/down navigation between lists issue that I mentioned above, because I don't think there is any solution to that really at all).

@jurialmunkey count me in as a mouse/tablet tester.
I use Kodi on my HTPC with a mouse (I am not a fan of boxes).
I am not posting mouse issues, because I don't want to bother you with this right now since the skin is alpha.

Any chance you can add a new smaller size of panel for the widgets? I'd really love to be able to have one (or a few!) that's at least half of the size of the current icon panel (maybe about the size or smaller than the panels for submenu items inside 1135) and rectangle rather than square as they would fit icons small text better. I've playing with having a single homescreen for Movies and another for TV with no submenus and instead lots of widgets but the minimum size I can make any of the widgets types is becoming a problem...
Thanks!

(2019-03-23, 01:45)jurialmunkey Wrote: 9. The problem with different sized widgets is that the widgets will then be cut off half way down the screen (see screenshot below). Unlike Aura or Estuary, AZ2 has content shown in the bottom section of the screen, so there needs to be padding from the edge to prevent overlaps. Even if I disabled stuff like codecs on the home screen, having a setup like Estuary or Aura will break mouse support (which I'm making an effort to support in this skin). The only other option is to have a similarly size widget like in the submenu hub and then have an enforced gap between it and the next item - so that it effectively takes up the same space as other widgets, but just leaves blank space.

@jurialmunkey
I saw people asking for smaller widgets because they feel that adding categories like widgets "look" too big.
I think their problem would be "solved" if you add a new widget aspect ratio option, "Square with labels".
In Aura a square item in a widget has the size of a poster item in a widget and it includes the label.
Especially in AZ in which categories icons are not transparent, "Square with labels" would look very beautiful.
Have a look at the screenshots

RE: Arctic: Zephyr 2 - mark_dj - 2019-03-24

Not sure if it's a bug but with the Years playlist there's an icon called 1 that (I think) shows all of the movies. Can we rename it to something else, or fix it if it's really a bug? Smile

And is there any way to have the multi-widgets disabled for a specific home menu item so that it shows the background in full color (I want to do this for Settings, for example)?

I can control this. However, what is the reason for doing this and what are the situations where this would be desirable?

I'd want this feature because at the minute, some of my favourite shows have really spoilerish thumbnails so I've turned off episode thumbnails in Kodi settings but now all I get is black thumbnail which does not look nice. OpenMeta bypasses this somehow and shows landscape fanart for the thumbnails and it looks so much better.

For comparisons sake, what it looks like vs what I want it to look like

It would also help look nicer in this episode view which I love using

That would look so good in az2. Would look excellent in my add-ons widget menu.

@jurialmunkey

Is there any way to put the widgets with smaller landscape as you put in the screen? even though the last widget is cut before the end of the screen...

Thanks for this amazing job.
