Changing the viewtypes for tv show seasons does not change the actual interface of the viewtype. It only shows the season poster but in a square viewtype. Even the addons dont change viewtypes (it does not change to list wall when I change from square). I have uninstalled arctic fuse and reinstalled but had the same problem. I do not think this is a problem with jellyfin as Arctic horizon 2 works fine with jellyfin when I change the viewtypes. (If season posters it will show seasons in poster and if it is landscape it will show the seasons in landscape).

Fellow Jellyfin user here (using Jellycon) and I had a similar problem where it showed my library content as squares and there was no option for landscape or poster.

I've fixed that since. It's all to do with what you select as your target for the library when long pressing on that icon in the edit widgets page.

When my power comes back, I'll see if I can help you out.

@Atlas-Hands I also use the jellyfin addon as my movie and TV show backend. It works as expected for me. By default browsing the library -> movie or TV titles is in poster mode. If I switch to landscape mode via '<up> -> views -> landscape' it switches to displaying landscape with a landscape format image and not the poster. Otherwise the default view of the widgets is landscape mode and not displaying the poster. For music I had to change this to see the album cover, and that also worked as expected.

Are you sure your jellyfin images/fanart/etc is complete?

@derpferd @Ambidex @jurialmunkey

Thank you all for your help. I figured out what is was doing was wrong. I was editing viewtypes in the settings menu instead of when I am in the library by clicking up however another problem is arose. I'm not sure if this is a Kodi issue or an Arctic Fuse issue. I'm think the former. When kodi/Arctic Fuse is opening tv shows with seasons it takes me to the "addon" instead of to my "library" which is weird because the purpose of jellyfin for kodi is that it is a direct integration into the kodi library instead of acting like an addon like jellycon. That was the reason why I was seeing square viewtypes for the seasons with the posters in them. There are only 3 addon viewtypes (square, landscape, list wall) It treats browsing seasons and season episodes as being in the addon instead of being part of Kodi library (could this be any issue with the paths, I use default Arctic Fuse paths). Also while I was browsing seasons through the addon I could not play episodes. It fails. The only way I can play episodes is if I hold down and select "play from here" in the context menu. Another way to play tv shows is by clicking "TV Shows". That takes me to the library view. I'm not really sure where the problem is coming from or if it is from me. Thank you for your help.

I have added paste links to images and a youtube video for more context: https://paste.kodi.tv/xuvezayine

RE: Arctic Fuse - jurialmunkey - 2024-01-21

@Atlas-Hands - From what you've described, this is not an issue with either Kodi or the skin. It sounds like an issue with the addon or your settings in the addon.

The "Browse" button in info dialog is a Kodi builtin - i.e. Kodi controls the action when you press it, not the skin. Clicking browse tells Kodi to open Video window and open the FolderPath associated with the ListItem. If it goes to the "wrong" place that's entirely due to the folderpath directing Kodi there - i.e. whatever metadata Jellyfin has added to the library database.

The "Random TV Shows" default widget is very literally just TV shows library with sortby=random applied. There is nothing special about that widget. If you press "info > browse" on a tvshow in that widget then Kodi is going to the path associated with the item.

I'm using the Jellyfin for Kodi addon in addon mode (not Jellycon, and not native mode, which is an odd label, since this seems more like native mode to me).  I'm not seeing any of what you're describing.  It all works just like if the movies were scanned directly by Kodi.

RE: Arctic Fuse - Atlas-Hands - 2024-01-21

Do TV shows work for you well too? Movies work fine for me. I think it's because tv shows have to be browsed into. With movies you just play the file. With TV shows it has to browse into seasons folders and then the season themselves. I think I will ask on the jellyfin forum as jurialmunkey said it might be a problem with the add-on.

Thank you

RE: Arctic Fuse - olevelo - 2024-01-21

If you're asking me, then yeah, TV Shows work fine.

RE: Arctic Fuse - theo08 - 2024-01-21

i've got a question about performance:

on a FireTV 4k Max Gen2 the interface reacts a little bit slow sometimes. For example when i pull up a TV Show it takes around 5-10 seconds to actually load/show the episodes / seasons.

is this a FireTV thing or general issue?

I use the jellyfin addon in native mode. At this point it's just a years old habit starting with emby since for my use case there's no need for jellyfin to even think about transcoding. I'll likely try addon mode next time I have to set it up from scratch.

I've never had any issues like you're describing. No landscape/portrait image display issues other than the expected album covers I mentioned before. When I browse movies or TV shows it takes my into the library seemingly regardless of where I start. The only exception is when I intentionally use a jellyfin path (eg jellyfin's 'next episodes').

If I remember correctly my settings in jellyfin (addon and server) are close to stock other than enabling Kodi sync to minimize library update times.

Thank you, I have it as you comment but my problem is that the logos of the Movies appear in Spanish Language but from Latin America, it is very different from that of Spain .

The Latin titles to those of Spain vary, in the image I gave as an example it should be:

Spain: The Creator
Latino: Resistance

I understand that it is not correct

@jurialmunkey
Loving the skin! Great integration of Wikipedia and YouTube (especially when playing music).
No bugs or requests from me!
