RE: YouTube v5.X.X - KODI 14.0 Helix - RunasSudo - 2015-02-06 Using 5.0.6-beta3 and the Send to XBMC/Kodi Firefox addon, the Youtube addon seems to load the WebM version of the video, which has no playable video on the Raspberry Pi. The old Youtube addon mitigated this issue by allowing me to select which quality video (fmt code) to load before playing the video. EDIT: Commenting out all WebM related definitions per constrainer's suggestion gives the error ' Exception: unknown format for itag "43" ' RE: YouTube v5.X.X - KODI 14.0 Helix - bromix - 2015-02-06 (2015-02-06, 04:24)RunasSudo Wrote:(2015-02-05, 23:14)bromix Wrote: You can't just remove the mapping for formats I have to look into this after the weekend but this will be difficult, because webm is becoming more and more (especially for DASH) the default for YouTube...I can mostly extract only 2-3 MP4 container and at lower qualities you mostly get webm. From all the videos I've tried to download using youtube-dl, even very recent ones, all appear to have MP4 DASH video/audio at a range of qualities. RE: YouTube v5.X.X - KODI 14.0 Helix - constrainer - 2015-02-07 Hi Bromix, I see that you've closed the issue we've been talking about last week. But alas, both my devices (my laptop and my media center) are still preferring the VP8 over MPEG-4 with the new (5.0.6~beta3) version: Code: NOTICE: CDVDVideoCodecFFmpeg::Open() Using codec: On2 VP8 This with the same videos I used for testing last week (and which with the hack of the video_info.py file managed to run OK in MPEG-4). Is the fix actually implemented, or am I not understanding something? EDIT: I saw now that other people were also asking about the same thing, so sorry for me being yet another one bragging about it. Anyway, at least you know that I'm also experiencing the issue, so I'll be keeping things in check and testing, if there is anything significant, I'll write you. RE: YouTube v5.X.X - KODI 14.0 Helix - Vefom - 2015-02-07 Not sure if this is the right thread, but how do I coerce SPMC to update to this newest YouTube add-on; it's still using the old version. Thanks. Edit: Figured it out; downloaded the repository, installed it from zip file and then it auto-updated the add-on. RE: YouTube v5.X.X - KODI 14.0 Helix - RunasSudo - 2015-02-08 For example, running "youtube-dl -F https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSUy2uA6fbw" shows: Code: [info] Available formats for OSUy2uA6fbw: RE: YouTube v5.X.X - KODI 14.0 Helix - alexcamb87 - 2015-02-08 Hello, Did you know when the queue support will be added ? RE: YouTube v5.X.X - KODI 14.0 Helix - J040 - 2015-02-10 I make use of the awesome "reccomended" feature in youtube. Is it available in this version? "what to watch" only shows a list of popular videos, but nothing based on my viewing history. Sorry won't come (Please see first post of this thread under "Missing"). Starting with APIv3 and the deprecation of APIv2 (May 2015) this feature was removed by Google. Nothing I can do about that to replicate the result. Hopefully they will include something similar. It was the XBMC queue. And it was very convenient if you do not want to create youtube playlist . Unless there is a keyboard shortcut for this? thank you RE: YouTube v5.X.X - KODI 14.0 Helix - bromix - 2015-02-11 (2015-02-10, 21:50)alexcamb87 Wrote:(2015-02-09, 19:44)bromix Wrote:(2015-02-08, 12:37)alexcamb87 Wrote: Hello, Mhmm...I tested this yesterday and I have a 'Queue Video' in my context menu.
