Another note: noticed that 'a', 'an', 'the' etc are not ignored, which means most movies are grouped under 'a' and 't'

It seems like that everything in the arrow area no longer responds, the four arrows, the home, information, the back and context menu seem to not be functioning, but the select button still works. I noticed though on OS X that the movies list is functioning and coming up and is no longer saying no movies.
The gesture zone seems to still work and also using gestures will move ahead or back by 10 minutes going up and down, and then going to left or right will do the 30 seconds.

Thanks for fixing it. As you correctly say, it is only partially fixed as the thumbnails don't show up yet. One example is the movie "Æon Flux (2005)". Not sure whether ill-formed Unicode is the right word? Can it be fixed without me renaming the movie?
As many mentioned, the remote keys are now broken in the latest update.
One feature request - it appears that I cannot sort the movie list by year, but only by genre? Also, any chance to implement some form of caching. It takes quite a while for the movies to show up when pressing movie library (I have 3,000+ movies).

app won't start on ipad 2 32gb. Not responsive on iphone 5 and working on ipad2 that did not update. I'm using rapsberry pi on openelec, and the app is not responsive on either device . it could be my wifi dongle but it seems to work fine on another pie.
any news on a release for a fix ?

I'm also having major issues with this on a JB i4 running 5.1.1. Everything works great except the "four corners" buttons on the actual remote section. Gestures and all that work great, but the Home, Back and other similar buttons are inop.
I know you guys will get this fixed soon, just letting you know.

- thank your for the new feature "long press fullscreen button to toggle XBMC application to full screen, its working fine!
- unfortunately confirming that many other remote buttons are not working now

Thats what i want to happen, but no keyboard ever pops up, i really am wondering if its my 3gs, i have been experiencing anomalies in alot of apps lately, im going to just leave it for now, and wait until i upgrade.
As for that message never had it, the part when the keyboard pops up it just keeps showing loading. and then disappears and nothing happens. In xbmc itself though a keyboard pops up on screen.

Hey guys, I just saw that the update has broken the button pad. It's a strange issue that isn't happened during the tests. Gesture zone works fine so until I will fix the issue, please use the gesture zone.

Thanks to the great help of amcfarla, the button pad issue and the premature crash of the app on some circumstances has been solved with the version 1.2.4 already submitted to apple.
