pm me your settings.xml and kodi.log and I'll have a look.
There was a recent fix when it wouldn't load an xmltv file if the md5 button was turned off.

version 0.0.263
- alternative streaming option in Add Folder and Stream Setup \ Addons (toggle channels)
- alternative streaming in addons.ini if stream starts with @ (eg BBC 1=@plugin.video.bbc/...)
- pip toggle (Thanks Andy)
- channel Categories menu in all epg views (epg, tv, osd ,quick epg, last channel)

@Hinkel You can pull up the channel categories in any of the main epg views now (epg, tv, osd ,quick epg, last channel).
It is too tricky to pull it up in the Now/Next views.

@ködi-zömbie Try this for setting the alternative streaming method.

If the stream starts with an @ in the addons.ini file it will use the alternative streaming method.
You can edit the addons.ini by hand if you know what you are doing.

You can add a folder of streams with the alternative streaming option from Stream Setup \ Browse \ Add Folder.
Select the second option.
It won't work on Refresh Addon Folders or Background Service.

You can toggle the alternative stream setting per channel in Stream Setup \ Addons \ channels by clicking on them.
They will turn green if alternative streaming is enabled.

I expect this will need some tweaking. Let me know what breaks.

Thank you Mister. This evening I 'll try this out. Editing xml and ini files is no problem for me Wink

Just out of curiosity, what is pip toggle (I know pip, is picture in picture)

It just changes Setting \ Appearance \ Small EPG Video Preview Window
and restarts the guide.
It basically switches between the Default skin and what was the pip skin.

It is something Andy said some people liked.

version 0.0.264
- Add Folder will prefix folder with @ if added with alternative streaming option in folders.list

This should allow the Refresh Addon Folders to work with the new alternative streaming option if it was set for the folder.

Code:
So far I know the Alternative Playback option is needed in Kodi or SPMC on Android platforms to play Teleboy channels from Kodilivetv.eu Addon correctly. Otherwise they will start for a second and crash or give U this lovely black screen and you cant go back to Guide or Home. Only contextmenu is working then but will not help you if you dont edited it :) ...   Hate it

This addon is continually asking me to install Channel PEAR even though it is installed. It comes up every 5 minutes and is super annoying.

It really shouldn't be. There is nothing anywhere in the code that references that addon.

Have a look for any channels that are mapped up to it.
You can see the channel mappings in the source.db or more easily when you close the guide in the text file:
userdata\addon_data\script.tvguide.fullscreen\custom_stream_urls_autosave.ini

Have a look in the addons.ini file in the same folder for any urls that use that addon and delete them.

If you still are stuck send me a link to a kodi.log file and the contents of your addon_data folder.
Put it on some free file storage service like Dropbox or Google Drive.

RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - primaeval - 2016-12-23

Is anyone getting stuttering in OSD mode in SPMC recently, especially with high bitrate streams?

It used to be perfect, whereas Kodi used to stutter.
Now it's turned unusable. I have to turn the OSD off.

I'm using it on a Nvidia Shield tv box.

RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - htpcmac - 2016-12-23

I reset the database, and don't use a custom addon.ini. Unless there is a Channel PEAR stream saved my general favourites. The popup comes during an addon scan though.

I'll post the log when I get back home.

RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - primaeval - 2016-12-23

WARNING: Downgrade SPMC to 16.4.0 to prevent stuttering when the OSD is enabled.
WARNING: Manually save your SPMC userdata folder first because a downgrade will delete absolutely everything!!!

[EDIT] Fixed by turning off Mediacodec(Surface) in System \ Video \ Appearance \ Hardware Acceleration.

I wish Merry Christmas to all of you, especially to our favorite dev, I particularly wish you much health to continue your wonderful work. We just have to thank. Sorry for my English.

RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - primaeval - 2016-12-24

The jittery osd behaviour can be fixed by turning off Mediacodec(Surface) in System \ Video \ Appearance \ Hardware Acceleration. Koying spotted it. The default was off before SPMC 16.5.x.

Thanks @Hinkel and Merry Christmas to all of you too. Smile
