The root cause has really not been isolated yet. RE: Aeon MQ 8 for Nexus - Chalklands - 2023-02-01 (2023-02-01, 20:52)wags1 Wrote:@ Yeah, seems to be the case. Unfortunately on the Play Store on the Shield you can't prevent individual apps from updating, it’s all or nothing. I get about 20-30 minutes music play time before it crashes so I’m going to stick with it for a bit at this point hoping they get it resolved soon.(2023-02-01, 20:52)wags1 Wrote:@ Yeah, seems to be the case. RE: Aeon MQ 8 for Nexus - Nickerw - 2023-02-02 Hi everybody! I have some problems with nexus some days before which I never saw before: While scrolling within a music folder it stopped at subfolder 8 - no keyboard action possible finally Kodi crashed. Start again - same problem. Rename subfolder 8 - same problem. Deleted subfolder 8 (I have a backup) from windows surface, start Kodi again and it stopped at subfolder 7 and so on... Yesterday I tried to open a video folder - same effect. The other folders can be opened without a problem (still). As I wrote above, SHS and SHSW are deactivated. Anybody any idea? Greetz Klaus P.S. When checking the folder (location is a hard drive via USB) on my notebook with windows 11and SHS enabled it was the same... P.P.S Changing the skin to estuary I can open the folder RE: Aeon MQ 8 for Nexus - Chalklands - 2023-02-02 Hi, Does anybody know how to stop Kodi updating to Nexus? I reverted back to Matrix yesterday and today Kodi crashed. When I opened it, I see it has upgraded itself to Nexus. Is there a setting I can tweak to stop this happening? Very annoying as I'll have to delete the software on my Shield, redownload Matrix and restore a backup which will take a couple of hours to run. You can’t turn it off just for individual apps. Open the Google Play Store app on your Shield, click on your account icon upper right then Settings, Auto-update apps, and select Don’t auto-update apps. RE: Aeon MQ 8 for Nexus - wags1 - 2023-02-04 @RCBodyslam @Chalklands @daniko and anyone else having crash issue with Nexus on Android (@latts9923 for FYI) - have any of you tried to completely uninstall and reinstall Nexus to see if it solves the crash issue? I may try it on one of my Shields just to see if it resolves the crashing problem but if someone else has tried it and it does not fix it I obviously won't bother. Thanks. Thanks.I haven't uninstalled it from my Amazon FireTv Cube yet. But I did do a fresh install of Nexus on my Android tablet. It worked fine with Estuary. But once I installed a skin that used SHS and SHSW, it crashed more than once after a minute or two. Ugh. So maybe just leave it for now and fingers crossed it gets resolved eventually RE: Aeon MQ 8 for Nexus - wags1 - 2023-02-04 (2023-02-04, 18:17)RCBodyslam Wrote:@RCBodyslam Thanks, that helps. I’ve been running the Android Nexus nightlies on one of my Shields and so far no improvement. It seems more and more likely that this issue is something between the skin being used and SHS and/or SHSW and/or metadatautils. These kind of crash issues can be hard to diagnose (I have really not seen anything definitive in the debug logs I have created) but hopefully it will get fixed at some point. Think I’ll just sit tight for a week or so and see what happens.(2023-02-04, 16:00)wags1 Wrote: @RCBodyslam @Chalklands @daniko and anyone else having crash issue with Nexus on Android (@latts9923 for FYI) - have any of you tried to completely uninstall and reinstall Nexus to see if it solves the crash issue? Two weeks ago I did a fresh install of the official Nexus version on Odroid C4 (CoreELEC). All crashes are gone now and the system runs stable over many days in a row. With SHS enabled and playing music via LibreSpot. I have the latest MQ8 Nexus skin in use as well. I have no clue why the crashes are gone. I guess that there is only one click in the options, which starts the trouble. RE: Aeon MQ 8 for Nexus - martinsvision - 2023-02-05 Did a clean install with android nexus same crashes.. Had to go back to kodi for now also RE: Aeon MQ 8 for Nexus - wags1 - 2023-02-05 I ended up reverting back to Matrix on both my Shields. I need a stable music platform. The crashes every 30-30 minutes were just not something I could put up with. I’ll try Nexus again if/when the kinks get worked out on Android. RE: Aeon MQ 8 for Nexus - martinsvision - 2023-02-06 Anyone else thinks kodi just throws out versions just to mess with skinner? What does Nexus bring to the table anyway ? |
