@Chalklands Pretty well documented here and in several other threads. The root cause has really not been isolated yet.

Hi everybody!
I have some problems with nexus some days before which I never saw before:
While scrolling within a music folder it stopped at subfolder 8 - no keyboard action possible finally Kodi crashed. Start again - same problem. Rename subfolder 8 - same problem. Deleted subfolder 8 (I have a backup) from windows surface, start Kodi again and it stopped at subfolder 7 and so on...
Yesterday I tried to open a video folder - same effect. The other folders can be opened without a problem (still).
As I wrote above, SHS and SHSW are deactivated.
Anybody any idea?

P.S. When checking the folder (location is a hard drive via USB) on my notebook with windows 11and SHS enabled it was the same...
P.P.S Changing the skin to estuary I can open the folder

Does anybody know how to stop Kodi updating to Nexus? I reverted back to Matrix yesterday and today Kodi crashed. When I opened it, I see it has upgraded itself to Nexus. Is there a setting I can tweak to stop this happening? Very annoying as I'll have to delete the software on my Shield, redownload Matrix and restore a backup which will take a couple of hours to run.

@RCBodyslam @Chalklands @daniko and anyone else having crash issue with Nexus on Android (@latts9923 for FYI) - have any of you tried to completely uninstall and reinstall Nexus to see if it solves the crash issue? I may try it on one of my Shields just to see if it resolves the crashing problem but if someone else has tried it and it does not fix it I obviously won't bother. Thanks.

I had the crashes for a long time. Two weeks ago I did a fresh install of the official Nexus version on Odroid C4 (CoreELEC). All crashes are gone now and the system runs stable over many days in a row. With SHS enabled and playing music via LibreSpot. I have the latest MQ8 Nexus skin in use as well.
I have no clue why the crashes are gone.
I guess that there is only one click in the options, which starts the trouble.

Did a clean install with android nexus same crashes.. Had to go back to kodi for now also

I ended up reverting back to Matrix on both my Shields. I need a stable music platform. The crashes every 30-30 minutes were just not something I could put up with. I’ll try Nexus again if/when the kinks get worked out on Android.

Anyone else thinks kodi just throws out versions just to mess with skinner? What does Nexus bring to the table anyway ?
