I think I found the problem, but I don't have time today to post an updated beta. For now if you go into the settings for AS and under ADVANCED turn off the LIMIT SIZE OF DOWNLOAD CACHE option, it should start working again.

There probably isn't much I can do about that. I've never looked that close at the various languages offered by the remote sources, but it's possible that there aren't that many German translations. If you find that sites like Last.FM or theaudiodb.com have German translations and you aren't seeing them in AS, let me know a couple of problem artists and I'll look into it.

BTW, currently there is no fall back language. So if the artist bio isn't available in the language you select, you'll get nothing back. I suppose I could send back the English file, but I'd have to look and see what that would take.

I have the same problem, my selected language is French but I get biographies in English. I think you're right pkscuot when you say that if the bio isn't available at lastfm or audiodb in French then it will default in English. Therefore, the addon has nothing to do with this. I believe It would be to us to fill these info at the scrapers site.

This should specifically fix the problem Ronny3 and rastiazul are having. If you aren't comfortable installing beta add ons, you can avoid this bug by turning off the option to restrict the size of the image download cache. See post #1053 a few posts up from here on how to do that.

I walked through the code. AS will only return the artist information in the language you select. If that language isn't available on either Last.FM or theaudiodb.com, then you will get a blank bio back.

The confusing thing is that an artist's bio can came from one of two places. Either you can get it from Artist Slideshow, or you can get it from whatever the XBMC scraper found. Often these two will be the same, but sometimes they won't be. It's impossible for a casual user to tell which source your skin is using for the artist bio. So if you have AS set for French bio downloads but are only seeing English, my best bet is that your skin is using the XBMC internal artist bio, and that bio was probably scraped in English. You're better off following up with the skin developer on that.

You're not running 1.6.4.1. The code show in the error on line 1257 is from 1.6.4. 1.6.4.1 has a different line of code at 1257.

I'd suggest you turn off the limit cache option and just wait until 1.6.5 is released. Then your XBMC will update it for you (or at least tell you there is an update available).

To be of assistance, I really need a full debug log. There is information in my signature on how to generate one. Please DON'T post the full log to the forum.
