Hello all,
I have just pushed version 3.2.37 to GitHub and the Amber repo. The previous version had an issue if there was no default view set, and multiple parts of the skin could not be viewed correctly or at all. I have fixed this, and now, if no default view has been set, List will be used as the view type.
My apologies for this issue. Please update to this newest version, test, and let me know what you think. Thanks.

Hello all,
I just submitted version 3.2.38 to GitHub.
I have been asked several times about providing more color customization in Amber. So, in this version, I have started to do just that. You can now customize the highlight color, which is used everywhere in the skin. There is a new skin settings category, Color Options. You can find it in Settings, Amber Settings: Color Options. At this moment, there is only one item there: Select Highlight Color.
When you click that, you will get a color picker window that allows you to select the color you wish as the highlight color. There are multiple color palettes to choose from, there is a button at the top right of the window that allows you to change the color palette. When you click on the color icon that you would like, you need to click on the Save button at the bottom of the window, to make the change effective.
You can also go back to the default amber highlight color by clicking on the None button at the bottom of the color picker window. All of this functionality is provided by script.skin.helper.colorpicker written by @"marcelveldt" . The skin will prompt you to install the script if you do not have it already in your system.
Be aware that some colors make text less readable, and there is not much I can do about that.
I would appreciate if some of you would test this new functionality and let me know what you think and if there are any issues that might have escaped me. Since almost every single xml in the skin was changed, it is important for me that you test thoroughly. Given the change, I will not be pushing to the Amber repo until I get some feedback from you.

sorry for my delay, but i have so much to to at home.
thank you for the standard view. this is great and now i´m funny. Only the information about the pictures can hide. then is a bigger preview picture possible or in the movie section more space for the movie title and the information from the picture in photos can activate by submenu. (if you have much photos from your holiday i think you don´t need by all pictures the information of the camera) There is a bigger preview picture better. If your time line from your roadmap give you a little time i will show you how i mean this.

i have testet the problem with the not static vertical home menu. I have installed a new istallation with kodi and amber, and the static menu is not fix.
this problem i have on my two raspberry 4 and my other three odroid C2.
though, i find the new epg is not very usable with the new channel group section. two times for back to the home menu, first press down to choose the channel. this is your skin. but the change make the view backward. in addition the description from the selected channel with one row text it can deleted and so not necessary. there is now information showed.
The better way to choose the channel groups is in the submenü in a first position after the information.
I´m not in the position to programming a skin, but i dream from a usable skin, that is very professional, and i don´t dare to show a new player view concept with little clicks to use the player.
The target is to use the Kodi with a small times to click left, right, top, all click fewer is better to use the skin.

Do you think at some point you would be able to add the option to change more colors? I ask because it would be great to change the color of the text, especially in the music view. I am using the Low-list view but the text is white and the current playing track is also white, but just a tad bit brighter, which makes it hard for us older folks to see.
I just thought I'd throw this suggestion out there before I forgot.Also, this may be a bug, but I am not sure. If you go to Settings > Interface > Colors and select any of them, they do not change. I guess this is probably because of the new code for the highlight color?

You are correct about the issue when changing the colors through the Interface settings, I need to fix this so that if you do change the color theme, all the colors revert to the defaults for that color theme. I will be pushing that fix also when I am done with the color options.

I was able to reproduce the issue with the static vertical menu, thanks for the videos you sent. I will push a fix for that by tomorrow (sorry), as I am in the middle of changes to the color options.
While I do not agree with you about the usability of the EPG view, I understand your desire of less clicks. How exactly, ideally for you, would the channel groups work in the EPG view? Please decribe where you would place them and how you would access them. Thanks. I will take it into consideration and see if I can provide the current way and your proposed way as options.

This is now no problem with your skin, but normaly is kodi using with a remote control from the TV. There are the buttons forward (two triangle) and fast forward (two triangle with a vertikal line. how can i get the button forward jumps in the EPG one hour forward and the fast forward button jumps one day forward?

Two issues:
1- In TV menu and some addons including youtube search menu if i jump left menu, cllicking right arrow not back to regular menu.I mean not closing left menu.
2- There is still in video part randomly search/filter thing not appear in some left/side menus.

its only enogh to hide the information and make the picture bigger, optimal was, when the right text field is more wide. The picture information can you open with the submenu.
i think this is better and in the style the picture below you win the design award and usability award
I´m nut sure, if the picture title is on top the picture needed. the picture title is showed in the marked row on the right side.
Target:
The same in the movie section. No Information, the Information abaout the movie is in the information view. (This was a proposal for you, when i finisched all views for your proposal)
