I don't have any problems reading text on my tv. According to this calculator https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-size/size-to-distance-relationship - a 70 inch tv is the ideal size for best viewing from 10ft. In my loungeroom, my tv is much smaller (50 inch) and from 10ft away I have no issues reading the text at it's current font size (granted I need my glasses, but even very large font sizes are blurry without my glasses at that distance so that is a moot point). If you have a tv that is smaller than 50inch, really your viewing distance should be less than 10ft.

So I think you should choose to keep only one

Another suggestion : ok that AH is intended to be simple, but maybe it would be good to propose just one choice between 2 viewtypes (for all media type like movies music games...) for the one who like a "covers on two lines". In my case (I consider myself "pro" user since I use Kodi for very long time) when I navigate on "music", "movie" or "TV shows", I dont need details like plots or rating. Just titles or artists name for music, or titles, formats and durations for video. But I need to navigate with greater visibility on covers (like 2 lines), that more beautiful, and type on "i" if I want to know more detail.
And for emulators games like MAME, this is even more true given the size of the collections. too long to navigate on a one line viewtype. It's often the cover's games that reminds us and not the titles. So if you want to standardize views for all mediatypes, you have to take it into consideration
