When you reset the skin it should look like this...
xml:<setting id="media_flag_size" type="string">large</setting>XMLhttp://Copy
I'm not sure why yours won't reset.

Ok, thank you for posting the line. I know exactly why this wasn't working. There was no 'large' in the media flag string. This is partly because I'm still doing the skin automation thing. I know, i know... I shouldn't be doing that because of skin resetting, but I change pretty much everything about kodi based on the time of year it is... menu colors, backgrounds, fonts, etc. So any settings.xml file changes will cause an issue to my setup. Simply put, this issue was self-induced, thanks for helping me sort it.

I don't change the version number of this skin when I push an update. However, you can see the mod version if you go to SETTINGS in the main menu. In the upper right you will see "Mod version #". That number will match the # in the latest update post in this thread.

To reset the skin, go to SKIN SETTINGS → RESTORE SETTINGS.
I'm sorry, my mistake 😅
installing Aeon MQ 9 from Latt's Repo, I thought it was already the Mod version..
that's why I wondering, the title is only Aeon MQ 9, not like other: Aeon MQ 7 - Nexus Mod, Aeon MQ 8 - Nexus Mod

it's ok now, after installing Zip file from page one (skin.aeonmq9-1.6.0.zip)
in the SETTINGS main menu, i see "Mod version 9 by Latts"
I don't know to update to version #20, check in add-on, but no update available..

@Shredder_guitar
You're welcome. Haha...no, I still use Cron for Kodi as well.

@agungdeppe
It sounds like something is still amiss. The skin in the repo and in the download link are the same. If you installed either one, it should show "Mod v20 by Latts". You might try removing the skin and install it again.

RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - Juan Mortyme - 2024-02-14

@agungdeppe

Try reinstall latts repo. I had a problem where repo only showed one version behind current in the v21 section and installs failed a lot of times. Reinstalling the repo fixed it for me. Also with the Nexus updates it found the checking versions then selecting the version from latts repo avoids accidently installing the basic version of the skin from the Kodi repo, which happened to me once.

RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - Juan Mortyme - 2024-02-14

@latts9923
You really should consider changing the skin name and/or version number for the Nexus MQ9 Mod for two reasons. First, it is confusing for user who are new to Nexus MQ9 Multi Mod and is causing uncertainty to exactly what they are installing. Second, if you don't change the version number users do not get an Update Available notification so they must monitor the forum constantly to be aware of updates. I think it highly unlikely there will be any further development of the MQ skins given the unfortunate condition of the developers health.

Find Pointer.xml in the xml folder. Change the width and height values to your likings. I've set all values to 42.
@daniko
I change the values to 30. The default value in the MQ9MM Omega version is 42.

@latts9923
You probably wouldn't get much blowback if you decreased the cursor size in Nexus version of your skin. You'll notice a few of us do it already. I see you have already done so in Omega version.

RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - latts9923 - 2024-02-14

@Juan Mortyme
Yeah, that's a good idea. I didn't think about the fact that you don't get a notification that there's an update. With the next Matrix and Nexus update I'll bump the version to 1.6.1.

I'm saddened by the news about Wanilton. He worked diligently with MarcosQui to make sure the Aeon MQ skins were as polished as possible. His contributions will be missed if he is unable to recover.

Hmm...I don't remember changing the pointer size in Omega. I just changed the Matrix and Nexus pointer size to 42 as well.

RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - daniko - 2024-02-14

thank you all, i solved it with the cursor, i also solved it with the running of the movie during subtitles synchronization (i think it was because of the theme used, but i only noticed this after reinstalling the kodi programs from zero), and i also solved parts with the disc that it appears in osd video, thank you!

ps: now i have the best customization for me...

RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - latts9923 - 2024-02-14

@daniko
I forgot to reply to your request. I can look at adding a button to disable the discart in the video OSD as well as adding the title info at the top left like MQ 8.

RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - agungdeppe - 2024-02-15

@latts9923 @Juan Mortyme

thanks for the response,
I've done this, but it still doesn't work..

- fallback to "Aeon MQ8 - Nexus Mod"
- uninstall Aeon MQ 9
- uninstall Latt's repo
- install Latt's repo from zip file: "repository.lattsrepo-4.0.2.zip"
- install from Latt's repo Skin: Aeon MQ 9 (in the list, I only see this "Aeon MQ 9", or should there be "Aeon MQ 9 - Nexus Mod" ? )
- check in Setting main, no info about "Mod version # by Latts"
  trying to Restart Skin, but no effect.

- install from zip file: skin.aeonmq9-1.6.0.zip
  and found info "Mod version 9 by Latts"

maybe I missed any steps?

RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - latts9923 - 2024-02-15

@agungdeppe
You followed the correct steps. It should display as "AEON MQ 9" in the repo. With the next update, I will bump the version to v1.6.1. If you download and manually install the skin from the first post, it should show as "Mod version 20 by Latts". It sounds like your zip file is not the latest download.

RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - Juan Mortyme - 2024-02-15

@latts9923

I would respectfully suggest a change of addon name as well. If you don't change the name when you bump the version number users who are using the vanilla MQ9 and for whatever reason also have your repo installed will probably get an update available notification. If the skin name is the same they could inadvertently install the mod version, not that it would be a bad thing, but there is a chance, however small, that they may actually prefer to stick with vanilla version. So, with that in mind and to maintain consistency I would suggest rebranding as "Aeon MQ 9 - Nexus Mod". I think this would streamline the process, enhance the user experience, and reduce the time spent on explanation of the installation process. Even as a seasoned MQ Mod skin user I see how confusing it looks as is. I certainly don't want you to think I'm telling you what to do (ok, maybe I am, just a little, LOL) but I gotta say what everyone else is thinking.

Thanks

RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - latts9923 - 2024-02-15

@Juan Mortyme
Now you're asking for too much...haha. No, that's a good idea as well. I don't want to force the mod onto anyone that doesn't want it. This will change the skin folder name to skin.aeonmq9.mod, so folks will have to copy their settings.xml from skin.aeonmq once they install the next update...but I'll cover that in the update post.

RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - Juan Mortyme - 2024-02-15

@latts9923
Yup, exactly, but that's a really easy solution that will save a lot of heartache down the road. I think most everyone can figure out how to copy a single file with minimal instructions. Besides, as always, people here can provide guidance.

RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - Dinth - 2024-02-15

A couple of questions.
1. When i replace a menu item (lets say TV Shows) with a playlist (Smart Playlist containing all TV Shows except cartoons, anime and documentary) is it possible to have "Continue watching" and "Similar" widgets for the playlist?
2. When i create a custom menu item, is it possible to set it's background to the internal image? Im running Kodi on Android and I can only see two options "External storage" and "Root filesystem" where clicking on root filesystem does nothing.
