Andrea RE: YouTube v5.X.X - KODI 14.0 Helix - TheDefiant604 - 2015-03-01 Is it possible to add the ability to update the watched videos history? I'd like to have this included in the add-on so that I can quickly find videos I watched in Kodi when I'm browsing YouTube directly. Since beta4 and now the official 5.0.7 - the search result stuff works good for me. The occasional search brings back a list view but I'm just putting that down to gremlins - the majority work fine now Also found a vid that brings the restricted content error. The log file doesn't give much away, the video works fine in my web browsers - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibNsBAxa-hQ The error displayed within the plugin is "This video contains restricted content from WMG. It is restricted from playback on certain sites. Watch from Youtube" - understand the error tells you how to fix the problem but I didn't hit this with the old plugin - unless it's because of APIv3? 17:55:52 T:4748 DEBUG: [plugin.video.youtube] Starting Kodion framework by bromix... 17:55:52 T:4748 NOTICE: [plugin.video.youtube] Running: YouTube (5.0.7) on Helix (2.19) with Python 2.7.8 17:55:52 T:4748 DEBUG: [plugin.video.youtube] Path: "/play/ 17:55:52 T:4748 DEBUG: [plugin.video.youtube] Params: "{'video_id': u'ibNsBAxa-hQ'}" 17:55:53 T:1860 DEBUG: DialogProgress::StartModal called 17:55:53 T:1860 DEBUG: ------ Window Init (DialogProgress.xml) ------ 17:55:53 T:1860 INFO: Loading skin file: DialogProgress.xml, load type: KEEP_IN_MEMORY 17:55:53 T:4748 DEBUG: [plugin.video.youtube] Shutdown of Kodion 17:55:53 T:4748 INFO: CPythonInvoker(6, C:\Users\Media\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\plugin.video.youtube\default.py): script successfully run 17:55:53 T:1860 DEBUG: ------ Window Init (DialogKaiToast.xml) ------ 17:55:53 T:4748 INFO: Python script stopped 17:55:53 T:4748 DEBUG: Thread LanguageInvoker 4748 terminating 17:55:53 T:1860 DEBUG: XFILE::CPluginDirectory::WaitOnScriptResult - plugin exited prematurely - terminating 17:55:53 T:1860 ERROR: Playlist Player: skipping unplayable item: 0, path [plugin://plugin.video.youtube/play/?video_id=ibNsBAxa-hQ] 17:55:53 T:1860 DEBUG: Playlist Player: no more playable items... aborting playback 17:55:53 T:3088 NOTICE: Thread BackgroundLoader start, auto delete: false 17:55:53 T:3088 DEBUG: Thread BackgroundLoader 3088 terminating 17:55:54 T:1860 DEBUG: ------ Window Deinit (DialogProgress.xml) ------ 17:55:54 T:1860 DEBUG: Keyboard: scancode: 0x38, sym: 0x0134, unicode: 0x0000, modifier: 0x100 17:55:54 T:1860 DEBUG: CApplication::OnKey: alt-leftalt (0x4f0d4) pressed, action is 17:55:55 T:1860 DEBUG: CWinEventsWin32::WndProcWindow is active RE: YouTube v5.X.X - KODI 14.0 Helix - TheDefiant604 - 2015-03-01 (2015-03-01, 15:14)bromix Wrote: Addon-Settings->Folders->Watched history I don't mean displaying my YouTube history in the add-on. Both systems are stuck on 5.0.0 Beta 2, despite the Bromix Repo claiming YouTube to be at 5.0.7. Yet, there is no update option. Oh, and I use this YouTube addon fully now (with the YouTube Forwarder) instead of the previous YouTube addon. Anybody know why this is happening? Is it possibly related to the YouTube Forwarder use? I am mostly eager to update on account of the "It fixed the error "It is restricted from playback on certain sites. watch it on youtube". Thanks for the quick fix" fix that was done in the 5.0.5 Beta 4 version as I am getting that error on nearly every video. And it might create problems installing the new version. jonib RE: YouTube v5.X.X - KODI 14.0 Helix - TheDefiant604 - 2015-03-02 (2015-03-02, 01:33)bromix Wrote:(2015-03-01, 23:23)TheDefiant604 Wrote: I don't mean displaying my YouTube history in the add-on. Last time it was a hack because the official API doesn't allow updating the history. It's not a real biggie if it can't be done. I mostly use the add-on to watch live eSports through Kodi, which isn't a big deal if it doesn't show up in my history. Good to know, thanks. I was not aware this YouTube became the default. I will remove the forwarder and the old YouTube plugin then if Bromix's YouTube will now work for it all. Thanks again! Oh, and what about on Gotham? Can I just remove the old YouTube addon and the forwarder and everything will work with Bromix's YouTube? RE: YouTube v5.X.X - KODI 14.0 Helix - nickr - 2015-03-02 If you read the whole thread you will see that there are some differences between this and the old addon. Some of that is because Bromix is doing things according to the API and th API doesn't do everything that a 'hack' might do - but IMHO that is a good thing, API stuff should continue to work, hacks die. I have been on this thread for a while now and can definitely see the differences. I was mostly curious if due to the now default status of Bromix's YouTube addon, will all addons which use YouTube now use Bromix's YouTube just as they once did with the older YouTube addon. Previously, the YouTube forwarder would enable all addons to direct their YouTube queries/use to Bromix's YouTube rather than the older, formerly default, YouTube addon.
