Delete your skin folder in the addon folder and re download from GIT.
I'd delete guisettings.xml just to be sure

Yes it does but if you have problem with a corrupted guisettings there is no way around it. Redo your settings and when everything works as it should back it up

I know you guys are probably already aware of the fact that the settings for the weather panel via the vis dialog don't currently do anything, but also an issue (aside from the weather image not being displayed) the text for some weather conditions (Scattered clouds, for example) are too long for the bar. It ends up overlapping the Date/time section by one character or thereabouts. So If/when "meowmoo" works on the non-working settings as indicated on GitHub, he/she might want to look into that as well.
Great work as usual though, and am stoked by the updates being pushed out. Dedication, I like it!

did you check a clean start without any intro ? and without any entry in advancedsettings.xml ? how long does it take there ?
i think this 6 seconds are used to cache the main images of the skin ( bigger skin, longer cache ) - i think confluence starts realy fast, because its using just one backround and some small images
when you have a look at systeminfo on startup, you can see in the first couple of seconds ( 10>20 seconds ) you will have a lot of CPU% - i can noticed it on my "small" player - when its start, its realy slow, because it used in the first seconds 100% cpu - when its going down, i can use it normaly
so i think this short time at the beginning is needed to cache all those addons,gimmicks,eyecandy stuff etc - if you want a ultra fast starting kodi player, you need to use confluence or any other similar skin without so much eyecandy like the aeon skins
well, thats what i noticed so far when i just have a look at the systeminfo
and experience but maybe someone else find a different solution
