RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - atoulmin - 2015-09-24 I gave that a try, however it did not remove the delay upon restarting. RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - fritsch - 2015-09-24 Debug Log will tell ... no need for speculations ... would save me 10 posts per day ... so save the planet and post debuglogs RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - Eisi2005 - 2015-09-24 Hello there, I installed yesterday my Intel NUC NUC5PPYH. I have the last Jarvis Build taken. I had bought the NUC, because all write that there is no longer a banding. I have to test the movie Divergent instead played 01hour 04 minutes. The banding is just as bad as before with my NVIDIA HTPC. The settings are as described in Post. 1 and 2 I have attached a log file and a screen shot. http://www.xbmclogs.com/px9aq40ij http://i.imgur.com/camAdnc.png RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - Sunflux - 2015-09-24 (2015-09-24, 08:59)Eisi2005 Wrote: Hello there, That could very well be banding in the original encode. It's extremely common in dark areas, especially on re-encoded material. You should test with a known quality greyscale pattern. RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - fritsch - 2015-09-24 The you are doing something obviously wrong. Most likely then in your TV settings. We still have the possibility to use Dithering ontop if that also does not help - check your contrast settings on the TV. This code can remove Banding issues but not Layer-8 issues ... RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - Eisi2005 - 2015-09-24 @fritsch hehe ok i will give that a try. The picture is taken from my tv, i will test it with my calibrated beamer. LOL :-) Will do. RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - Sunflux - 2015-09-24 I just watched part of that movie. The banding is EXTREMELY bad in that scene, but we're talking being played back in perfect quality on a PC - so nothing to do with Kodi. A review of the Blu-ray: http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/11701/divergent.html "Most problematic is the many instances of glaringly obvious banding." This is a source material problem. Kodi is merely accurately reproducing the original banding. :-) RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - fritsch - 2015-09-24 Does dithering help in that case? If you also enable while using limited range? RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - Eisi2005 - 2015-09-24 @Sunflex thank you to look for my problem. Now I'm a little calmer RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - Eisi2005 - 2015-09-24 @fritsch No, there is no difference RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - fritsch - 2015-09-24 if you can, cut out a sample then we can compare, you can use a statically build ffmpeg from e.g. here: http://johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/releases/ffmpeg-release-64bit-static.tar.xz and then do: ffmpeg -i youvideo.mkv -ss 01:32:30.0 -c copy -t 120 output.mp4 This would copy 2 minutes starting from 1 hour 32 minutes and 30 seconds ... RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - Eisi2005 - 2015-09-24 @fritsch i´m a absolutly linux noob. is there something i could do with windows ? RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - fritsch - 2015-09-24 The very same? Just use the windows binary: http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/ and your powershell. As windows user that should be no issue for you. RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - Eisi2005 - 2015-09-24 @fritsch http://workupload.com/file/2KEkdaeY here is the sample |
