Not sure if this is still the case, but when I originally put this add-on together the Hockey Night content featured live NHL games and required a subscription to a cable provider.

Thanks.  I hadn't considered the subscription issue.  We've got some Hockey events coming up and will check.  If it is that way then I'll put back the skip.

The CBC sublicenses Hockey Night in Canada from Sportsnet.  I don't think a subscription is required, as the games air OTA on CBC, but I guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks.  The CHL (Junior Hockey, airing October 2) is a new addition to CBC and one of the reasons I was hoping this addon would come back to life.

Just noticed if your not in Canada you do not need a VPN, at the moment anyway.

I've noticed that too but we did see a situation where folks in Canada were getting different responses from Akamai for a couple of upcoming events.  It does work pretty well and some good content.

I posted an update today of version 0.993 . 

It has the following updates:
  • Fixed issue where Live Schedule events in 2022 were not being shown
  • Added context menu items in Live Schedule events so you can now do a refresh of the list or Go Up to the main menu without scrolling all the way to the top or hitting a back button.

Please let me know if you find any issues.

I posted an update today of version 0.994 . 

It has the following enhancements:
  • Increased Highlights, Most Recent and Archive to 50 items each
  • Added duration of Live Schedule events and all videos so you can now easily the duration of each
  • Added displaying the date aired and a description of the video to Highlights, Most Recent and Archive (the displaying of this is skin dependent)

Please let me know if you find any issues.

Just updated addon, today's Live Schedule streams: Spelling Bee and Skating are working fine. 
Tested the latest enhancements and they are all working well. 
Missed testing yesterday's Live Schedule events but was able to watch CHL hockey today in the Archive so thanks for that Jeff

Thanks for the update.  I am seeing where some of the video on demand stuff in Highlights, Most Recent and Archive which are showing unavailable in the US.  I am glad they are working in Canada..  I did upload v0.995 to check for this condition and provide an addon Notification Message vs. the video player playing an unavailable audio message from CBC Sports.  This will likely be the last update for a bit unless someone wants an enhancement or finds an issue.  How are 50 items now for Most Recent and Archives ?  I could make it an addon setting and let you select like 25, 50 or 100 but that feels a bit like overkill.

Hey Jeff, personally I am extremely happy with the addon, it actually has gone further than I expected.  I think the 50 results is fine (I knew the 10 wasn't right)  Smile

I guess the only thing left is to wait until October 16 to see what happens with the NHL Hockey Night in Canada streams, whether they need a cable sub or not.  I am thinking (and hoping) no but will wait to find out and report back.

@jbinkley60  Jeff, I've been thinking about the number of event results that are displayed.  Fifty seemed like plenty until I went to the Archive and noticed that 50 results only takes you back less than a month.  So if you wanted to watch something you missed, you would likely have about 3 weeks to do it.  One hundred would definitely be better.  I'm almost hesitant to ask because the addon is working so well, I don't want anything to go wrong Smile

I just noticed a whole pile of events show up today in the Live Schedule for Beach Volleyball on October 6.  I don't think they were in the Live Schedule yesterday, just one or two events and there's about 14 Beach Volleyball events now.  So whatever you did it seems to be working, discovering events.

All of my Archive items seem to be working.  Just curious how much of the content you are able to access in the US, is it a worthwhile addon to have outside Canada, or is hardly any content available.

All of my Archive items seem to be working.  Just curious how much of the content you are able to access in the US, is it a worthwhile addon to have outside Canada, or is hardly any content available.

Version 0.996 has been posted with the settings options mentioned above.  The main thing not working for me in the US is the archives.  Most everything else works.

Updated and working great.  The added results don't seem to slow the addon down either.  Great addition for the Archive as 150 results goes back to July where I missed some CEBL basketball games.  Honestly have to say, for ease of use and smoothness of working this is one of the best addons out there.  Kudos!
