RE: Kodi 17.7 DSPlayer x64 BETTERGUI (2020 build) - ARJunior - 2020-02-17 Hi axbmcuser, Any chance to manage "Delay after change of refresh rate" option when using DSPlayer ? Doesn't seem to work here. Thank you. RE: Kodi 17.7 DSPlayer x64 BETTERGUI (2020 build) - kalebroc - 2020-02-18 First off, thank you so much for this build, its brilliant. Just one issue for me though - I have a TVMosaic Server for my Live TV and I have a couple of other Kodi systems working with this setup with no issues. However, when I try to watch Live TV on this DSPlayer build it crashes out of Kodi back to the desktop. It will work when I turn off "Use as the default video player" so my settings are correct in the DVBlink addon. I'm at a bit of a loss, I think its something to do with directshow filters?? I'm kinda of shooting in the dark. Is there some way for the DVBlink addon to use the internal Kodi player and everything else to use the DSplayer? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. RE: Kodi 17.7 DSPlayer x64 BETTERGUI (2020 build) - axbmcuser - 2020-02-18 @kalebroc I personally have a simple rule for my DSPlayer usage: Making sure Kodi DSPlayer always uses the regular Kodi "VideoPlayer" by default and only uses the "DSPlayer" for files which you are really really sure of being best suited for use with "DSPlayer". Just as an example, my settings: - Based on a default regular DSPlayer install - Settings -> Player -> DSPlayer -> Use as the default video player -> NOT CHECKED / DISABLED (Make sure this setting is disabled first and don't enable it again after you created the custom "playercorefactory.xml" below) One simple "playercorefactory.xml" in my "userdata" folder:
This way Kodi DSPlayer just behaves like regular Kodi using the stock "VideoPlayer" for every content like PVR (or online streams like trailers etc. ) by default and only uses "DSPlayer" for above file types (mkv|mp4|mov|avi|wmv|flv). I personally use tvheadend live TV this way without problems. RE: Kodi 17.7 DSPlayer x64 BETTERGUI (2020 build) - kalebroc - 2020-02-18 Thank you so much for the quick reply, I'm away from that PC for a few hours but I'll give your fix a try later , thank you again. This is easy enough to default to in the LAV Audio settings, but when DSPlayer is launching LAV Audio it uses the value of audio offset from Kodi, +1. Since typically you'd have a 0ms offset, LAV Audio is always showing 1ms. That's fine, but I don't want to have to manually change the offset every single video I play. I'd have thought the simple solution would just be to add the following to advancedsettings.xml:I have things working perfectly with this in my advancedsettings.xml. Where exactly do we put this file? This block: Code:
Needs to go in your advancedsettings.xml which lives in your portable_data/userdata folder for this portable build. If that file doesn't exist you'll need to create it and wrap the entire block inside <advancedsettings></advancedsettings> tags. Just google advancedsettings.xml if you need more help. It's always nice to see any development on the DSPlayer front. I will try that to see if that fixes the issues I have with the MediaPortalServer Plugin as LiveTV takes ages to start and seeking is a pain (not an issue of the MP Server as with MediaPortal everything is working fast and snappy). RE: Kodi 17.7 DSPlayer x64 BETTERGUI (2020 build) - DrPepper - 2020-02-18 Hey i'm struggling a bit to add the external LAV Filters. if i read your 1st post correctly , it should be setup like this ? https://imgur.com/a/eHuRRni is this correct ? Cause when i press Play on DS Player it's not starting. The Videoplayer is starting however. EDIT : after trying some more , i guess this right here should be correct ,isn't it ? https://imgur.com/a/m5xmTuj Thanks for the hint where the mistake is. RE: Kodi 17.7 DSPlayer x64 BETTERGUI (2020 build) - axbmcuser - 2020-02-18 @DrPepper See new External Filters Example Screenshot Will add this to the first post. RE: Kodi 17.7 DSPlayer x64 BETTERGUI (2020 build) - axbmcuser - 2020-02-18 I added some information on Windows Defender slowing down Kodi python addons (even if you have the complete Kodi directory added as an exclusion in Defender settings) to the second post: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=351534&pid=2922389#pid2922389 Maybe some find that helpful. RE: Kodi 17.7 DSPlayer x64 BETTERGUI (2020 build) - axbmcuser - 2020-02-18 Any semi-advanced user willing to make some separate tests with the reworked userdata\playercorefactory.xml "player rules editor"? Stay on build 005 on your real life install for now. This is a separate test. In this 006-test01 build, Kodi DSPlayer now defaults to the default players (VideoPlayer, PAPlayer) like Original Kodi would to avoid all the compatbility issues with Live-TV and media which is not suited for DSPlayer. To enable DSPlayer, you can now easily add a simple rule via the self explanatory player rules editor. (Good example rule see below) DOWNLOAD 006-TEST01: KodiSetup-bettergui006-test01-2020-02-18-Krypton-dsplayer-x64.zip Side note: This should also fix the issues with the buggy old "VideoPlayer merits" editor (which the reworked stuff is based on). ![]() RE: Kodi 17.7 DSPlayer x64 BETTERGUI (2020 build) - mclingo - 2020-02-18 preliminary tests look very good, i'm only running over RDP from work though, i'll check 3D and HDR etc when I get home. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Kodi 17.7 DSPlayer x64 BETTERGUI (2020 build) - axbmcuser - 2020-02-18 Thanks for the initial feedback. Testing can focus on the functionality of the player rules editor. My own testing wen't well so far. Feel free to create some more rules with random settings, edit them again, delete them, whatever makes sure that it's solid. :-) More testers welcome. If everything is okay, we can move on to build 006 final. I think the new approach will be less confusing than the old default "Just use DSPlayer for EVERYTHING" approach which resulted in people wondering why LiveTV and other stuff did not work correctly anymore. Using Original Kodi defaults for VideoPlayer und PAPlayer by default and then selectively creating a simple rule for your DSPlayer-enabling-needs should be the better way to go and lead to avoiding many incompatibility issues right from the start. |
