I'm on Kodi 19. The plugin itself, as far as the menus and showing my follows and showing my live follows, is working fine, but quite often now (I'd say it's up to at least 50% of the time) when I start one of my followed live streams, I get the ~15 second commercial countdown and then Kodi just crashes to the desktop. I'll start Kodi back up, and sometimes I'll be able to get into the stream the second time, and sometimes it will crash again. (I've also had it crash mid-stream a couple of times, but that seems to be a rare occurrence and I don't know if it's a related issue; I just thought it would at least be worth mentioning.)
If it's survives that, seems fine.

I've Kodi Matrix on an Odroid N2+
New user here, still discovering Kodi.
But I have something weird happening with Twitch.
I manage to register and use it to watch live and broadcast without issue, EXCEPT on one channel : Critical role
I am not sure why.
Log error say : "Error <general> Playlist Player: Skipping unplayable item: 0, path [plugin://plugin.video.twitch/?mode=play&video_id=v1051884080]"

I'm actually getting a kernel OOPS with this plugin now whenever I hit a mid-stream ad (this is on Raspbian armhf bullseye). So definitely something strange going on for sure!

Sadly, looks like we are currently experiencing the end of life of the twitch API used by the plugin.

I wonder whether anxdpanic plan to give it a refresh or not, but if not, I think that it will be a real mess in the Kodi plugins ecosystem.
End of this month, if no change, the plugin could cease to work anymore.

I have it installed on 19.3 and it's working fine. I can't figure out how to get chat working which is important for my usage. Is there a way to do this? I clicked the ircchat in the setup menu and it doesn't do anything. I searched for a 19.x version of ircchat and can't find anything but 18.9 which isn't compatible because of the outdated Python. Is there somewhere else I can find this chat add-on or am I just an idiot and not pushing the right button to bring up the chat window??

Updates to support the newer API are currently being worked on, see Github for reference.
Until the new release is ready, see the below post for a list of dates/times when the addon will not work due to API v5 being temporarily disabled by Twitch.

If anyone has any idea about the following, please share. Both installations run on the same old laptop, connect to the same wireless network, use the same development repo for twitch etc. Maybe some kodi dev has a clue...
Part 1, kodi 18.9 (libreelec 9.2.6 x64).
Kodi updated twitch to 2.6.0-alpha2 (I think this was the the first dev version of 2.6.x that reached the development repo) and python-twitch (script.module.python.twitch) to 2.0.21-alpha1. I then realised that the new version demands an oauth key to work, so I uninstalled it, disabled the dev repo and reinstalled the one from the main repo, which still works without any oauth keys.
And although the dev repo is disabled (not removed, because I want it for future usage), kodi still notifies me that there is a new version available for both the above addons and downloads the zips from the main repo as seen from their versions below!
Anything inside .kodi/addons/packages is deleted on every boot via autostart.sh

Why is it stuck... back in time and why does it insist on downloading the same zips over and over?
Part 2, kodi 19.3 (libreelec 10.0.1 x64). I know about the new setting of kodi 19 that allows updating from any repo (settings > system > addons > update official addons from> any repositories) and I have already enabled it.
In order to update twitch to the new versions from that repo, I had to search for twitch in the addons, select versions (the confluence skin says "versions" for some reason) and then select the new version! As for python-twitch, I had to manually download the new version from github and install it by hand, because script.module.* addons are not listed anymore in kodi (since v17 that is). And all that obviously defeats the purpose of using the repo for the updates and it gets annoying now that the updates for twitch and python-twitch arrive almost every day.
For me, it seems that the above setting does not work at all for that repo and all I can think of is this bit in the log, i.e. the repo not being in https, but can someone confirm?

The part 2 of my issue above seems to be not a repo issue but a kodi one. I asked anxdpanic to update the urls to https, he did, the warning is now gone but the addon on my end is still on beta5, last version I updated by hand, and I have to update it by hand again
