RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - rxse7en - 2013-03-11 Marius, thank you for this app. Took me a few weeks to find it and it was exactly what I was looking for. I have an external drive with ~3000 movies--unorganized--in a single folder. When I try to add the drive to VMM, it finds zero videos and it is not adding them in the background. Do the movies have to be in individual folders to be recognized by the app? EDIT: I tried moving all movies to a single folder and reimporting and it only recognized one move this time. I'm guessing each movie has to be in it's own folder for the app to recognize it and import. I was kinda hoping that this app would do that. ![]() RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - jaroch7 - 2013-03-11 Did you try the Tools-->Put Movie Files into Folders (in your menu bar)? That should put everything in individual folders for you, then you'll see them in the list and can hit "Fetch Metadata". Hope that helps. RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-03-11 It does need movies to be folderized, but all is not lost! Go to the 'Tools' menu and select the option called 'Put Movie Files Into Folders', which will do just that. ![]() @Jaroch7: I posted about a second later, thanks for the help. ![]() RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - rxse7en - 2013-03-11 Jaroch and Marius, you guys are awesome! I assumed that the folder tool was only for movies that were found by the app previously! Thank you! Quick note: currently adding metadata and cover images for entire collection! Marius, it took me a while to find your app after a LOT of searching and going through multiple apps. Might I suggest that you add your app to Macupdate.com and perhaps a Facebook page for more exposure? RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-03-11 The facebook page is over here: https://www.facebook.com/ViMediaManager I'm planning on putting it on MacUpdate after finishing smoothing out the TV section at least. ![]() RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - smail4761 - 2013-03-12 Hello, Thanks for your work, it looks very good ! One question, is there a way it can update all my movies at a time ? I tried the "fetch missing metadatas" but it does not update completely the data, only solution is to click on each single movie and fetch metadatas... I cannot select several movies from left list... I'm probably missing something... Thanks for your help ! RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-03-12 Yes there is! Go to the 'File' Menu, hover over 'Update" and then select the 'All' option. ^^ RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - zepo - 2013-03-12 Hi Suddenly ViMM have started to translate some of the movie titles into norwegian when I update a movie. It only happens on a few movies but it is pretty irritating. I want to have the original title of the movie but I cant find any setting. My database language is set to american english. RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-03-12 It's probably due to the IMDb doing some translating based on your location. RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - zepo - 2013-03-12 OK, is it possible to stop that? I don't want norwegian titles on foreign movies. RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-03-12 Maybe log out of IMDb? i'll see what I can do on my end as well. RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - zepo - 2013-03-12 I tried logging out of IMDB but it did'nt help. The problem is mentioned here as well: http://vimediamanager.betaeasy.com/thread/19407#comments I tested the URL from his post as well, but it still gives me the norwegian title. What a horrible "feature" from IMDB. I hope you can find a solution for this so we get the original title, this kind of messes up my collection. Good luck. RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - KoopaTroopa - 2013-03-12 I tried to update all episodes of my TV Shows (Update -> All Episodes) and got a bug... Is this still the link to that LATEST nightlies? (latest is from 4 days ago...) http://www.mediafire.com/vimediamanager Here's the bug output: Code: Out of Bounds ERROR: 0 RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-03-12 That's the link, my 'nightly' updates aren't exactly on a 'nightly' schedule. ^^; You got that bug through the latest nightly release? could you show me your file's structure and episode file names for the show it happened on? RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - KoopaTroopa - 2013-03-12 (2013-03-12, 15:06)MariusTh86 Wrote: That's the link, my 'nightly' updates aren't exactly on a 'nightly' schedule. ^^; "TV" / "30 Rock" / S00E04.mkv "TV" / "30 Rock" / S00E38.mkv Now, these files used to work because thetvdb had them has specials up till at least 38, upon looking at latest thetvdb listings my "e04" is actually now "e02" and my "e38" is now "e03" So, looks like I'm getting that bug because it can't find anything from S00e04 onwards, and that's why... Does that mean you're not checking for episode "numbers" that are over the max that's in thetvdb? |
