RE: Arctic: Zephyr - somawhite402 - 2015-04-30

Complaining about what a skinner chooses to do with his own skin is completely counterproductive. Besides which jurial has on repeated occasions in previous iterations of this skin actually provided a feature the he personally did not want or need simply because enough people have politely asked for it. Bitching about a perfectly polite reply stating he does not wish to do something will get you precisely nowhere.

Furthermore, while people may not have the ability to edit skin files they do have the option of learning how to. Just like the myriad skinners in this forum learned. Most of which will, in fact, help you to do so if you can manage to avoid sounding like a complete and utter asshole for five minutes.

EDIT: I did wander on to the forum to ask if we could have some kind of watched status indicator on the Big Wide video views but after seeing that little exchange I doubt he'll be in the mood to entertain requests, so thank you very much for that.

Give me a break, drive skinners away? I'm not the only one that has criticized the text media flags. If I didn't like skin, I wouldn't use, nor would I be critical of it. In regards to modifying the skin myself, no thanks.

yeah, not going to cut you any slack. your "get off your high horse" comment makes you look like a petulant child. just because you use the skin doesn't give you the right to demand he make a change. as for driving skinners away all you have to do is look here but i'll quote you the relevant text: "Personally, it is highly unlikely I will create another publicly available skin for Kodi as I find this forum exhausting. I will continue to improve, fix bugs and maintain my two skins on the repo - but that's me done for creating new works. I've felt like this for quite a while, I just don't want to see this happen for other skinners." so while you may feel like comments like yours do nothing but add to the discussion the fact of the matter is that skinners don't necessarily feel the same way. certainly your delivery could use work at the very least.

+1

RE: Arctic: Zephyr - dalben - 2015-05-01

214b1 must be tolling. No one can that demanding and critical surely.

RE: Arctic: Zephyr - nickr - 2015-05-01

Or even trolling.

RE: Arctic: Zephyr - nlash - 2015-05-01

Text media flags are my favorite part of the skin.

RE: Arctic: Zephyr - jurialmunkey - 2015-05-01

Wow that escalated fast....

excellent! Mind sharing your mods in a new thread so other people can apply them if they wish to?

Would be possible from the script side of things but dont think it is from the skin side of things afaik. Thought I dont have much experience with trakt.tv watch lists so I can say that definitively.

Ill double check when im home, but big wide should have a watched indicator already.. is it missing with extra info turned on? Mightve overlooked that.

Strange not sure what the problem could be.

RE: Arctic: Zephyr - MinoMe - 2015-05-01

Awesome skin, thank you very much!

Just a quick question:
i cannot find a "browse files" menu. Is there a way to play files which are not in the library?

RE: Arctic: Zephyr - t2ffn - 2015-05-01

You can add the files menu to one of your videos submenus. Go into the skin settings, go to TV shows or Movies submenu option, add a new item and link it to the Files browser menu item. Should be done in less than a minute.

Let's keep it simple: Would it be possible to add another item to the context menu within the extendedinfo script to run a python script from there, which takes e.g. the IMDBid as an argument? I'd know how to go on from there.

RE: Arctic: Zephyr - ztoner - 2015-05-01

Hi jurialmunkey.

As I'm rather new to kodi so I have now tied every skin around, and I must say this is the skin I compare all the others with.

LOVE IT !!

two questions:

1.) Backup Skin?

How can I backup the skin shortcuts/state? I had a perfect home menu then used the Backup addon, started new with a clean fresh install of kodi, then used backup addon to restore kodi to previous state (testing)
then when I enter home menu its like it was, but then skinshortcuts steps in and resets to default menu.

2.) Custom Widget

Would it be possible for an option to show the the widget items in random style?

anyway thanks for a great skin!!

// Richard

RE: Arctic: Zephyr - Guilouz - 2015-05-01

Yes I would share my work once I 'm done .
But I hang on display with audio logo and audio channel integrated as ac31.png, ac32.png, etc ...

Only ac3.png are display

RE: Arctic: Zephyr - namtih - 2015-05-01

I've added the "Weather" entry to the main menu. But is it possible to replace the background image with the actual weather information, so that I don't need to open the weather app?

You need to go to skin settings > background > set weather fanart and pick the folder location for the fanart.

Download the weather fanart pack from here: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=41650 and point the above to where ever you put the folder.

Job done.

RE: Arctic: Zephyr - namtih - 2015-05-01

Thanks. But it seems that I'm missing something.
I've downloaded the package and unzipped it.

I set "Settings => Skin options => background" the weather fanart.
And "Settings => Main menu => Customize main menu => Weather => background" to Multi-Image.

So "Weather" on the homescreen shows a weather fanart now. But it's not the current condition (forecast = cloudy <=> image = beach) and the image is changing all the time. So it seems that it is just showing an random image.
The goal was to show the "Yahoo Weather" informations for my city as a background.
