Hi,

Any plans for doing a Music Videos section?

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-03-13

@Koopatroopa: Currently ViMM looks at the episode file, takes the season and episode numbers apart, then goes through the whole episode guide to see if there's an episode that matches both the season number and episode number.
It doesn't crashed when there isn't an episode available in the guide, rather it should have continued on.

@smail4761: What's the error message? and have you tried the latest nightly?

@nanohits: It's an idea i've been toying with, but it's not going to happen until after a v1.0 release, which won't be until i've finished up the movies, tv & anime sections.

Just tried out the latest nightly, with the multiple tag fix and the "cinematography by" field (YOU ARE AMAZING!!)

This latest version is great, the UI changes feel more solid, and all the fields I'm trying are working splendidly. I'm so freakin' happy right now... lol.

I'm off to fetch a ton of data and figure out how to put a custom cinematography node in the Aeon Nox skin.

Thanks for all your hard work. This app is rockin'!!

Hi all, quick question: it's been mentioned before in this thread but I just like to be sure: will vimediamanager download en save thumbnails for episodes in the correct frodo filenames? I don't see it adding -thumb to the filename?

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-03-16

If you haven't already, try the latest nightly from here:
http://www.mediafire.com/vimediamanager

The '-thumb' tag should be added as long as you have your preferences for 'mediaplayer' set to 'XBMC'.

I'm pretty sure they would work in Frodo anyway. Once in a while I get thumbs named without "-thumb" and it doesn't seem to matter. But ViMM usually does add it. Make sure you're using the latest nightly as Marius said, then select a TV Show and do Update > Selection with the context menu. Among other things it should rename the thumbs.

You got that bug through the latest nightly release? could you show me your file's structure and episode file names for the show it happened on?

"TV" / "30 Rock" / S00E04.mkv

"TV" / "30 Rock" / S00E38.mkv

Now, these files used to work because thetvdb had them has specials up till at least 38, upoin looking at latest thetvdb listings my "e04" is actually now "e02" and my "e38" is now "e03"

So, looks like I'm getting that bug because it can't find anything from S00e04 onwards, and that's why...

Does that mean you're not checking for episode "numbers" that are over the max that's in thetvdb?

I have the same problem as koopatroopa. Any solution yet?

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - Glorious1 - 2013-03-17

I wonder if you renumber the specials the way TVdb has them, and then start over with Fetch Metadata, would that work?

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-03-17

Since it get's its metadata from TVDB, episodes season/episode numbers should be named the same as on the TVDB if you want ViMM to recognise them correctly.

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - nanohits - 2013-03-17

I have collected all the data but have one question. I am trying to get info on Transporter - The Series. No matter what I do ViM comes back with cant be found. So how do I manually enter this. Does it only look up TVDB?

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-03-17

Try looking for 'Transporter' without the ' - The Series', or use the 'Manual Search' button to search for 'Transporter', it's coming up fine for me that way.

Alternatively, you can open up the manual search window and input the IMDb or TVDB ID directly into the search field and press 'OK'.

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - nanohits - 2013-03-17

Transporter didnt work either. Ill try the other way you suggested and let you know.

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - Glorious1 - 2013-03-17

It worked for me when I put a file called "Transporter S01E01.mkv" in a folder simply called "Transporter".

Hi,

is it possible to update all episodes for every tv show in one step, f.e. "Update all episodes for every tv show"?
For now, i have to update the new tv episodes in my tv show folders via "Update - Episodes" for every single tv show.

Am i missing something or is this not implemented yet? Would be much easier to generate the new nfo files in this way... Thanks for your efforts so far!
